We did not use their service and are not going to do any work now.

Overall, the experience was good. They provided some advice on the landscaping, including some things I could do myself.

Diana came up with an outstanding design and plan that included what needed to be done,without overdoing the landscaping to make it look inconsistent with the house. The result was a spectacular back yard that matches the house and the neighborhood, improves the privacy of the house and remains relatively low maintenance. The landscaping was done well, the quality of the patio is remarkable, as is the work on the new back porch. Her choices for plants was excellent and the planting work seems to have been done flawlessly, though the winter isn't over yet. Diana was always on time to appointments, her e-mail communication took follow-up on my part on a couple occasions, but the overall project was really outstanding.

She seemed a bit one dimensional on ideas. She referenced and showed ideas from a color catalog and all the ideas were clearly from past projects. Nothing different or changed.

Quite well. Diana knows her stuff and was able to give us some good ideas for how we might upgrade our landscape ourselves, including what we might do to revive our front lawn. If we had a bigger budget or a bigger yard, we might use them!

I got what I needed out of the consultation. I was looking for some advice on a certain area. I just wasn’t sure about hiring them for the work.

The first visit went well. She came and gave us a lot of information and ideas. Of course, to do an actual design of it was going to cost $600, not to mention the $15k-$20k estimate she gave us. We thought about it and asked her to come back for another visit to talk about smaller projects, since $20k was out of our budget. She did not show up for the next appointment, nor called or emailed after that. We took that as a sign that it was not a good place to work with, and after some research realized that her quotes were quite likely to be much higher than other places.

Diana, the owner, arrived promptly and was ready to listen to my questions. She gave excellent advice about a stand of evergreens near the road, and very helpful hints about perennials, as well as possibilities for creating a more welcoming entrance from the road (we are a distance from it). In the future, I would definitely consider getting design plans from Trio.

Overall went well, as expected. I did this for consultation. The upgrades improvements were small in nature and this company does not perform very small jobs. I will use the advise I received to improve my landscaping by planting/buying the suggested materials.

Diana was asked to provide a plan and an estimate for a project to redesign our front-yard landscaping and replace our concrete slab sidewalk/steps with pavers. She was very professional and provided a plan that we really liked. She seemed very knowledgeable and provided suggestions on plants which would both layer within our space as well as provide a colorful presentation throughout the season.

They were able to get the work done even though the weather was very challenging those two days. We thought that we were listened to very well when we explained what we would like to have done and the problems we wanted corrected from the poor work another contractor had done previously in the fall of 2011. Diana (the owner) was very knowledgable about the trees, plants and what would work best for our needs/desires when we planned this landscaping project with her. We couldn't be more pleased with this whole project. Best lesson learned for us was that you get what you pay for; the previous year we went with a cheaper contractor and and we got exactly what we paid for, poor workmanship. This time we were smart and we couldn't be happier.

After we had the plan for a while Diana meet with to go over our questions.

This was a big deal coupon. I did not have any work done. She kind of answered some of my questions about things that were going on around my house. I wanted to get an idea of what I can do with some of the thing going on around here because O wanted ti switch things around a little bit. She just gave me some suggestions. She was a nice girl. She had some ideas but it wasn't anything I wanted to do at the time. She was very nice though. She came out when she said she was going to. She answered all my questions. That might not be a service I would use.

She seemed competant, knowledgable, polite. We contracted to recieve her advice and she gave it.

Diana was incredibly helpful and informative. The design is great. Unfortunately, the quote for TRIO to do the work was well out of our budget, so we'll be doing the work ourselves.

I met Diana Grundeen of Trio Landscaping at the Home and Garden show in Minneapolis in February. I liked what I saw at the show, so I decided to call her and see what thoughts she could give me about my yard, which is in dire need of some landscaping. Diana came out in April, and spent a hour with me, taking measurements, writing down my likes and dislikes, and giving me some initial ideas for the yard. After we spent time talking, I decided to have her draw up a plan for my front yard, and help me get some curb appeal. She came back a couple weeks later, and WOW did she deliver! Her ideas are so cool! I will definitely be having her complete the work, probably a bit at a time, but she did an amazing job with my plain and empty front yard, which will look like something worthy of a WOW when it's finished. She gave me great tips about how to work the soil. She also suggested flowers for us to put in the raised beds and how to cut back the yews and shrubbery. She was the most knowledgeable of anyone I have talked to.

She just came as a consultant. My overall experience is very good. She looked at my yard and gave me some advice, which is what I wanted. I had some problem with my landscaping.

Diana was a pleasure to work with! We walked through our front and back yard and she answered all of my questions along the way. She gave me loads of great advice and I really enjoyed talking with her.

We wanted an expert opinion on what to do about our plain little beige split level with both drawings and the actual work of making it our dream home. So far we couldn't have done better thanTrio and Diana Grundeen! We three (my wife, Diana and myself) stood out in the yard for several hours thinking out the choices. Diana came up with many practical, different solutions. For example, we tend toward greener notions about everything and she came up with a great idea on the new driveway! Another is the parking. The lot is small right now we park along side the house 'one-behind-the-other' style. It sucks. We're going to be removing the rear deck to make way for either a garage or a car port. The bigger thing for us is to have a grand plan that we can work in sections as we don't want to borrow money to do this stuff. But because it's a master plan it will allow us to work toward a unifying theme; that way the individual projects won't look like each was accomplished by a different team. We're really happy with Diana and Trio Landscaping -- we'll be going forward with her!

She was so knowlegable and thoughtful about our yard. We decided to proceed with a full design for the front and back yard as we were so impressed with her ideas. We explained that we'd like to do a majority of the work ourselves and she wasn't the least put off by that.

Diana showed up promptly and walked me through what the structural problems were with the pond, looked at the repair supplies that I had on hand and told me the steps I needed to take in order to repair it myself. We made an appointment for a future repair date, in case I could not do the work myself, but as it was, I was able to follow her instructions and do the repairs. She then walked around the yard and gardens (we recently moved to this house) and she advised me on what to do about several trees and plants. She gave me the names of several arborist and landscaping supply companies that she uses and was a huge help. She was professional, friendly, knowledgable and showed me a portfolio of several landscpaing jobs that her company has performed in the past. All in all, I got more than my monies worth. I would not hesitate to hire her in the future.
