Tommy's Electric

It was great working with Tommy and his crew on our rewiring project in an older home. They were such friendly and considerate and hard working guys! They did a wonderful job of cleaning up before they left each day. I really appreciated the detailed and transparent billing of time and materials. Such integrity is rare these days. I will call them again if we need electrical work in the future.

Everything went well. The job was all done in one day and they discussed it with us as they went along. At the end of the day, they did a great cleanup job. We are very satisfied with the work and the results. Everything was done on a timely basis. Install new outdoor lights.

The team was very responsive from the initial bid to the finish of the job. The work was done on time and done correctly. They also worked with me as we added heated flooring in the bathroom and under cabinet lights. They have a good crew that respects the property. You can tell a lot about the quality of the company by how their employees treat the customers. This group was great.

We were very pleased with the work performed by Tommy's electric (see below for list of work). Tommy was able to provide an estimate via email based on the list of repairs needed, and the final invoice was in line with the estimate. The electrician arrived on time and was very professional and a good communicator. The price seemed a little high, but it does appear to match the going rate for electricians. The lead time for service was about 3 weeks. This was fine for us since we were not in a hurry. The electrician did come and go twice during the work - went to a construction site when they were ready for him. All in all, it was a great experience and we will definitely contact Tommy's for any future electrical work. List of updates: Run wire and install outlet for garage door opener Run wire and install outlet for lawn mower / snow blower Replace outside outlet that is loose. Remove three basement hardwired ceiling lights and add two electrical outlets for new lighting. Hook outlets into existing control switch. Correct dual control light switch – not working correctly.

Tommy is very professional and communicates well. He scheduled and performed the work in a timely manner and did excellent work. I highly recommend him.

Tommy came in look at the scope of our project and within a few days we had our first quote. Then after discussing a few things with my wife we decided to remove some of our higher end wish list items, Tommy was completely accomodating with the changes and adjusted the quote. Tommy's electrician Lance did all the work and it looks great. He was on time everyday and cleaned up after himself. The initial project took Lance only 1.5 days which was a lot quicker than we were expecting. After the inspector came in it required a few changes and we were good to go. The only headache was dealing with the inspector who decided he had to make 4 trips to check the progress. The last trip out was to ensure that the switch plate and outlet covers were installed correctly...seriously!! We will be using Tommy's Electric in the future for sure. Thank you

I am really happy with them. They have not yet done the second part but so far they have wired the entire basement. They were punctual, very nice and accommodating. They were professional and their pricing was good as well. They were always on time and quick to answer. They were quick to get back to me so I have no complaints. They were great and their guys are really awesome.

Tom and his crew exceeded my expectations. Not only did they complete the work we agreed upon in a timely manner, but he also made a few suggestions on how I could save money and make our home more energy efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

It was great. Tommy gave us all of the options that we had, gave us quotes for work he could do for us, and charged us nothing for the visit. He was professional yet very down-to-earth. We will definitely call him to do work for us in the future. We highly recommend him.

The 'non straight forward' part of the jobs Tommy did was to determine where an electrical short had occurred in my basement. The short caused ALL of the wall electrical outlets to be inoperative. I was impressed in Toms analysis of the situation. He concluded the short was caused by either a mouse eating through the wire, or a shifting of the house, which in turn caused 'pinching' of the wire. He quickly determined it was between 'Point A' and 'Point B', but needed to bring out another piece of equipment to help determine the exact place above my finished basement ceiling. Upon return (a week +), he found the exact spot, and actually found the "electrocuted mouse", and took a picture on his cell phone. Finding the exact spot not only got rid of the dead mouse removed, but saved me money (by saving Tom additional time). The rest of the projects were much more standard, and performed by another employee of Toms, while Tom was finishing up the basement project. One of the things that I feel is noteworthy is the "cleanliness' of the areas both men worked in. My experience has always been that Electricians are the messiest of all the various trades. They typically open up a parts bag, drop it on the floor, and leave it for the homeowner to pickup. Tommy's Electric cleaned up very well after completing each of the four projects. I would highly recommend Tommy's Electric to all, and they will be my first call on any further electrical work I need done in my home.

He called me back and had someone come out immediately before the weekend. I was really impressed with his service. He has fair pricing.

I needed 3 ceiling fans installed in rooms that did not have wiring for a light fixture. I called Tommy and he was friendly and we discussed options on how to do the project. He even recommended a place for me to buy the fans which saved me a lot of money. 3 workers came over to my house to perform the work and they were done in no time. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely use Tommy's Electric in the future.

Jeff arrived on time and prepared to do the job. He put down a drop cloth to project the carpet. He removed the existing light. The junction box was somewhat recessed so there was an issue with the length of the screws to hold the canopy and remote in place. Jeff ended up going to his truck to find longer screws. From there the job went very smoothly. Within an hour my ceiling fan was installed.

Tommy was great. Even when he thought he wouldn't have time for the job, he gave a detailed estimate. When his schedule changed, he was on time, efficient, used high-quality materials and overall did a great job. His second man even vacuumed up after the plumber!

It took a while to get return calls in order to get the quote and schedule the service. However, Tommy's rates seemed more reasonable than other electricians I had tried. On the day of the service, he arrived late. However, he did the work that we requested and did a good job of testing the lights and showing us how to use them and how to change the settings. For the type of work we needed done this was a good service and reasonable price. The only improvement would be responsiveness to calls about the work and letting us know if he's not going to show up when he said he would.

It seems Tommy's may specialize in larger jobs, so if you have a small repair, try somewhere else.

Tommy's Electric almost always sends the same electrician to our house when work needs to be done. So this morning, Jeff (a great guy and an excellent electrician), showed up promptly at 8:00 am to do the job. He assessed what needed to be done and gave us a rough estimate of the time it would take, the rough cost, as well as telling us exactly how he was going to do the job. Well, three hours later the job was done perfectly, the mess was cleaned up, and Jeff helped put the big dining room table back where it belonged. Even better, he was pretty much on target for the time needed and the cost. My wife was thrilled! The one time we did not use Tommy's Electric in the past five years was when we had an immediate issue and nobody was available on such short notice from Tommy's. I then called another outfit that was "A" rated on Angie's List. That other outfit was SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive, took much more time to do the work, and was constantly trying to upsell its services. After I declined the upselling, the price quoted would magically drop and then drop again. I have never had any of that nonsense from anybody at Tommy's Electric! Just excellent work at a fair price!

It was a busy time of year for both of us, and then he had vacation. There was a gap/unresponsiveness in contacting me back and finalizing a date to do the work and finish things up.I had to call back again for a response.
