Think Stucco

My wife & I know next-to-nothing about Stucco, and so called this company knowing generally want we wanted but without any roadmap on how to get there, not knowing even what options were available to us (or how much they'd cost). We spoke with Rich. He was very helpful, and after looking at some photos of our house, candidly recommended a solution that--if we took his advice--would mean we would do business with a painter, instead. I greatly value advice that's given in the benefit of the homeowner, especially when it may conflict with the business interest of the company.

I love this company. We own a 4-plex apartment building originally built in the early 1930's. It contains a fair amount of decorative and cut plaster, and we are always concerned about maintaining the historical integrity of the building. Larry, their crew lead, is a pleasure to work with - a true craftsman. They take the time to do things correctly and the results were amazing. What I found most interesting was his historical understanding of stucco/plaster work, and how to use current materials to replicate/match work originally done 80 years ago. He also provided us with some free advice on the state of our exterior stucco, which I found extremely helpful/educational. Price was not much of a consideration for us, since the work was covered by insurance. However, since the initial work was done, we have had them back twice complete some additional plaster repairs within individual units and other parts of our building. If you are thinking about having any stucco or plaster work done on your home, Think Stucco is worth waiting for and worth paying for. I typically get bids from 3 contractors for any repairs that we have done, but my opinion is that one can feel comfortable just going with them. They will be doing all future plaster and stucco work for our building. If you do get multiple bids and Think Stucco is more expensive, you can pretty much be assured that the extra money will show itself in the longevity and quality of the work, not to mention that they are pleasant to work with.

Very well. The company answered my call in a timely manner, made an appointment and kept it for a discussion about the work that needed to be done. Did the job in a timely manner and cleaned up all debris. Called afterwards to make sure I was satisfied.

Bid job in spring. Recommend we get everything we wanted to do before stucco. Got new windows. Stucco done in Fall.

Excellent Service & Excellent Product from start to finish! Everyone from the Estimator to the Crew to the Owner (who came out with the crew on the first day) was responsive, professional and knew their business extremely well. They provided us with options; kept us well informed; went out of their way (literally!) to accommodate us; and everyone treated our home as if it was their own. The final product (re-stucco) is beautiful, and we are very satisfied. Do not hesitate to use Think Stucco. Wonderful company -- Great product!

Rich came out to look at the project and was good to work with and very responsive in person, by phone and by email. He seemed to really know what he was talking about. There was some confusion on some kick-out flashing that was recommended in a moisture inspection report, but not originally discussed with Rich as part of the bid. They did the work anyway at no additional cost. Rich said they had agreed to install kick-out flashing as needed and the report said it was recommended, so they would do it. Sean led the crew that did the work. Sometimes two guys, sometimes three. They taped and covered things very well and other than a few broken branches on some shrubs, after the work was completed, you could hardly tell they were even here. The quality of the work appears to be very good. Sean and the guys were respectful and pleasant throughout the process. Sean even came out one night when there were storms around the area, just to make sure everything was OK on the site. We were very impressed and thankful. That was above and beyond the call of duty. Start to finish, it was a very good experience working with these guys and I would hire them again.

Think Stucco was great to work with. They did a free estimate and were able to rush schedule us. All work was completed in one day and they cleaned our gutters and reinstalled all fixtures. We have gotten many compliments on the new stucco.

Great. Once the rain stopped it was finished in one day. Looks like a new home.

Can't say enough good things about the entire crew at Think Stucco. From Mark giving the estimate through the job being completed everything was first class all the way. Larry,the owner, is very passionate and puts the customer first. The crew goes to great length to make sure I was happy and respects the landscaping and the rest of the house. These guys are stucco artists!

I used the online estimate request. I received phone call within 2 days. Mark was professional and nice. The job was completed on schedule. Some stucco bits were not cleaned up but not a big deal.

They got me right into their schedule and did not say they were too busy. They were professional and courteous. The work was delayed for about 2 weeks because of the bad weather but they did it pretty much as soon as they could. They kept me informed and ALWAYS answered my emails. I would use them again for sure. They looked over my whole house when all they had to do was on the front and did not try to sell me more work than I needed which I really appreciated. They could have told me I needed all kinds of work and I would have believed them. I really appreciated their integrity. It seemed like a lot of money for the couple small repairs that I needed but I did not get other estimates and for all I know, this is the going rate for this kind of thing. That being said, I did not feel cheated at all.

Did exactly what they said they would do at price quoted, on time.

It was quite an interesting experience! They arranged for the sandblasting company to start, which entailed surrounding the house with scaffolding. The sandblasters started first - with a complete overhaul of cleaning off the old stucco that had been painted over multiple times. Then we had lots of carpentry work to be done with another contractor - Think Stucco worked with us to coordinate that timing. We came into an issue with old architectural flower boxes - we discovered rot when the carpenter started pulling off the old trim. Think Stucco came out and consulted with us and our carpenter to come up with the best solution for us. Then finally the stucco day came - this amazing crew came out with all the stucco materials and re-stucco'd the entire exterior of our home. Our neighbors were even excited and stopped by to watch. They were amazing - all done by hand! Rich is a great consultant and helped us understand our home - he has great ideas and gave us that sense of security for the home project. Larry and his crew are professional and friendly, nice, and the whole project was totally within our budget. We will not need our home re-stucco'd because our home looks beautiful and will last for years and years to come - but I would recommend them to anyone needing help with their Stucco home - these are true professional craftsmen.

Fine. They were on time. They kept us informed on when they could come depending on the weather and current jobs they had going on. It looks great.

Mark worked with me to get a price that met the job. His crew was great. When we hit a snag in the project, they worked with me up front to find a solution.

Mr. Rick came out to estimate the cost of our stucco repair job. He gave us a good price and fit us in to his busy schedule. Two weeks later, two workman arrived and did the job in about 4-5 hours. They matched our stucco color perfectly!

Think Stucco received the sub-contract through Hanson Building and Remodeling. The price seemed high but Dan Hanson assured me they were the best and worth it. I have to agree. The prep work and the stucco were done beautifully and with little mess. The color choosing task was facilitated by color/texture panels that we literally took to houses we liked to compare gradations. Very helpful. The whole house was sandblasted and we insulated the original walls, knowing that the dashing would cover the work. The newly constructed walls were matched perfectly to the old house. The care in masking the aluminum cladding paid off with clean lines. We enjoyed the crew too.

Think stucco provided excellent customer service from the time the quote was provided through the color decision process to the scheduling of the job. They provided friendly courteous and top notch service and excellent quality of work.

Mark and his crew were great! They re-stucco'd our entire house and it looks brand new. They were quick, careful with our yard and garden, and the price was exactly what was quoted to us! Our chimney needed a little extra care, and they did a fantastic job with it. We received a couple of other quotes that were in the same ballpark as this, but we can't imagine getting better service anywhere else. We highly recommend using Think Stucco!

They did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. If we ever need any stucco work, I will definitely call Scott again.
