THE TILE SHOP

Went to the store, received assistance in the design when the volume of choices were basically just causing confusion and therefore inaction. Tile ordered and delivered. Tom was very helpful at the store.

Very good selection and customer service. Less concerned about price as install is much bigger cost of install, but got tile on sale at 20% off. Readily took back individual tiles we didn't need. Tile looks good, but some of the tile came from China. They were more brittle and prone to chipping and breaking for installer. He said best tile comes from Italy and Spain, which are also available at Tile Shop. Look at country of manufacture before purchasing.

The one thing about this company is that they have great displays at their store and everything looks great. The people are helpful but two-and-a-half years ago when I had my kitchen done they told me something wrong I am kind of getting the effects of it two-and-a-half years later. They will probably deny it if you ask them but that is my personal opinion. They have different people working there all the time and that is the problem. They told me if you put the grout in you don't need to put in an additive to the grout if you use a sealer. So I listened to them but now the grout is chipping. I got great ideas from their displays on what to do with my floor but I am not sure if all of their people know are educated to know what to do; so I am wary. They go out of their way to help you and have great products; their tile is beautiful and the prices are reasonable but the problem I have is that they told me the wrong thing so I am never sure who I can trust there.

It was a nice store but we didn't find anything that we were looking for.

I used them on a recommendation by a lady from the carpet shop from where I bought the carpets for my house. I had laminate countertops, but she said that if I was willing to get the work done, then I could have granite tile countertops. So, my husband and I went in to The Tile Shop and spoke to a guy there who helped us pick up 24 inch granite tiles. He also helped me understand what I needed to do. So, my husband and I put in the granite tile countertops. They have a fabulous choice there and they have a lot of displays. Every person that I spoke to there was very helpful when I had questions. They were more than willing to sell me the stuff. As far as them installing it, I don’t know if their people would install it or not. The price that we paid them was for the bathroom countertops, kitchen countertops and assorted trim in other areas of the bathroom. I thought that the price was quite good. They provided us good service. It was a really nice experience. I will use them again and I try to convince everybody else to go to them.

This was a fire restoration job. My husband and I wanted granite countertops, but the cost was too high with all the hidden costs associated with a fire loss. Ken suggested 24 inch granite tiles with edging and backsplash options. With helpful instruction from Ken and Andy, my husband and I installed the granite tiles for the countertops in the kitchen and bath with travertine backsplashes and saved a bundle. They have great displays in the store for inspiration and are willing to help those who are interested in doing it themselves.
