Great - some areas needed a lot of work - fill in, sanding, etc., it now looks great. The workers are pleasant and professional. They show up when promised and clean up when they are finished. Also - they check in when job is complete in case there are additional concerns or details to attend to. We are already talking about work to be done next spring.

We have hired John and crew before to paint our previous house. They are very professional and focused on quality. This time around we also had some toe-shoe installed at the base of our walls over the hardwood floors. This went pretty well - but a few corners/seams are not so perfect.

Excellent. This company is top-notch. John is tremendous with the big picture and small details. During the consultation period, John ensures the project is well understood and agreed upon by both parties. The workmanship is excellent; the crew is punctual, efficient, hard working, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Communications are impeccable compared to other contractors. You always know where the project is, the next steps, and when it will be completed. Some old heating registers were removed from the wall and patched, it is impossible to notice the were ever there.

The Magic Painting team were very punctual and professional, attentive to all our particular needs and requests. They got the job done in very timely fashion, right on schedule, and were very careful to use drop cloths in every place neede to that no pqint spatterd on furniture or cabinets or appliances or the floor, and they did a get job of cleanup, They did a great jobe with the new texture!

We've used this painting company for exterior painting now for 2-1/2 times around our 100+ year old Victorian house. The first time, The Magic Painting Company rescued us from an individual who primed one side, took the money, and left! John's crew came in and finished the job. The next time we used him was to paint 2 different sides of the house (we had been on a schedule where we painted a different side of the house every year). We then hired him to do the whole house, but since the bid came in very high, John allowed us to split the job into 3 years. He has finished now. BTW, although high in price, his quote was actually lower than another who kept adding on additional prices. Since John pays his employees well, he retains them, and also trains them well. This assures that we get the same great painters. He also guarantees his work, so each time he returned, he reviewed how the paint job held up and corrected where it had not.

These guys are truly pros. They are a little more expensive than some others, but you get what you pay for. They are the absolute best.

Requested a quote on 9/6/18 and received a prompt email response that day that they were scheduled out into mid-October and meet could not meet our request for painting in the next few weeks.

Magic Painting is the best. John and his crew do an excellent job and require no supervision. Totally trustworthy and very insightful in terms of the latest techniques and paints to address various issues within the home. I will continue to use them again and again and again

John responded immediately, and came out to survey the scene, as we were considering some other tasks that we were considering. John outlined his team's expertise. They came on time when scheduled, and were professional and pleasant. They did a great job, and cleaned up the site. We would and will have them back, but for more paint-related projects!!!

Excellent, mdespite a 12" snowstor. We chose to go out of town during painting, due to scale of painting task and impact on our living space, but we could have stayed. John Armstrong and Foreman Dave Risdall kept us posted. MAGIC performed several minor sheet rock repairs, beautifully done, and suggested minor changes to paint selection to attain best one-coat coverage. MAGIC provided masking and plastic sheeting, covered our built-in bookcases, counters and cabinets, and didn't object to a couple large pieces of heavy (though movable) furniture. High craftsmanship in masking, paint, and professionally executed. They are wonderful to work with, and will accommodate your needs to the greatest extent feasible. Pricey, but we knew they'd get through it efficiently, and that we wouldn't have to face an unfinished project when we returned. Bravo.

Wonderfully! We had Magic Painting completely repaint the exterior of our Tudor-style, stucco and wood trim house about 8 years ago. They did a magnificent job -- the painting held up better than I ever expected. So, when I had a new painting project, I called Magic Painting again. As before, the quality of Magic Painting's work was excellent. In addition to painting, Magic Painting does small carpentry projects (fixing a hole in our wall and replacing a broken pane of glass). Very helpful. The owner, John Armstrong, is incredibly responsive and professional. Because of my good experience in the past, I trusted John and his crew to do both the interior and exterior work on our house while we were out of town for the month of September. I gave Magic Painting access to our house, trusting them completely. I was not disappointed. John kept me up to date by email regarding the progress of the project. He also worked with me to coordinate finishing of the work to correspond with our, earlier than expected, return. I would definitely hire Magic Painting for my next paint job!

Fantastically well! These folks are absolute artists! They excel at matching paint colors and feathering in new paint so that you don't see any contrast with the old. While we now use them for all our painting, they are worth every penny (and more) when it comes to tricky stuff. They really know their business and are true professionals. Not the cheapest but almost certainly the best!

John and the team were great. Thoughtful, incredibly professional, very quality focused - and even worked with our floor contractor to coordinate schedules. We would absolutely use them again.

Excellent - started early and finished early

First meeting was with John and walk through was with John and foreman David. Very thorough, clear expectations on both sides. It was incredibly easy to get in touch with both John and David and any concerns I had were addressed immediately. They also added on a number of jobs that I found throughout their time and were happy to do it. Everything was completed in a timely fashion, very professional and courteous and the work was very well done. We will use them in the future.

John and the crew are professional, responsive, detailed and just nice to work with. They even helped me out on very short notice when we found another spot that needed to be painted at the last minute.

We chose Magic Painting for three reasons: 1)They have great reviews on Angie's List., 2) their web site notes that they move furniture, and 3) they do some repair work--which was important to use because we're retired. After we bought a couple of samples that we liked, Dave came by and painted several wall areas to give us an idea of what the paint would look like under different lighting conditions (a great idea). We didn't like those colors at all, so we picked out a third color that we liked, and Dave came over and painted several wall areas near the original two colors. The third color was perfect--and only needed one coat. They set aside several days to do the prepwork and painting, arrived on time and completed the job on time, and cleaned up. After the work was done, Dave asked us to look over the paint job, and note any problems areas that he would take care of the next day. We found a few minor problems, which he fixed the next day. All in all, we were completely satisfied with the work.

John the owner was very easy to work with. Dave, the project manager, and painters Oscar and Ben were very professional. They showed up on time each day and cleaned up each day as well. The walls look great. I'd definitely use the Magic Painting company again.

John Armstrong assigned an experienced and well-trained project manager, David, and foreman, Oscar, to this project. ?They worked quietly and efficiently as a team. ?They removed the wallpaper, prepared the ceiling and walls, and painted prime and finish coats. ?The edging lines are sharp and the finished walls smooth. ?Both young men were friendly, congenial and more than willing to take on a few "add ons". ?Dave also shopped for a new heat register and electrical outlet plate. ?John then asked his electrician contact to call me for installing the outlet and replacing the bathroom exhaust fan. ?Done...and beautiful!
