Description of Work: After a remodel of my kitchen, I ha John and his crew repaint living/ding eoom and hallways. OUTSTANDING...I akways hated looks of finish before as seams were visible from taping job..Their preparation was superb as now I receive positive comments all the time........

Description of Work: There were some miscommunications on things which may have happen because the original quote was done in the fall, but because of weather issues work did not begin painting until the spring. Things got added and things were subtracted because they couldn't do work, but it never was clear how the total was worked out. Unfortunately things were said verbally and I made the mistake of not putting things in writing. Also make sure you have them tell you the price difference between maintenance and restoration. My original quote was almost 20% above what was quoted. |On the plus side, the painters were friendly and worked with my schedule and they did redo my front door when I was not happy with how it was done the first time.

Description of Work: Painted master bedroom, small bedroom and bathroom.

Description of Work: We own a story and 1/2 with a two car detached garage, both stucco covered. The house was built in 1949 and never painted before now. John's crew prepared the stucco, applied primer, and painted two coats. John also provided color consultation. Our start date got pushed out a couple of times but that was due to weather. I was glad John advised ahead of time "health and weather permitting". John and his crew were very professional and John checked with us when he ran into questions. He didn't just assume he should proceed a certain way. The crew was on time each day and John dropped by at least once per day to check in. We were very satisfied.

Description of Work: Trim painting & soffiet vent cleaning.

Description of Work: John and his team did an outstanding job painting our house. He was very professional, attentive to detail, completed the work in a timely fashion, and ensured our satisfaction. We were so pleased, we also had them refinish our deck before completing our job. John is very responsive by phone or email, provides a free estimate with suggestions attentive to detail, and is proactive with references and evidence of insurance coverage. We recommend Magic Painting Co to anyone looking for high quality exterior painting!

Description of Work: Exterior house painting - he painted our house.

Description of Work: Jon gave us an estimate for painting our . and fascia on our 1200 square foot house ($5,409.00). We were also considering re-varnishing the soffits which he estimated at $750.00 less. We decided we would like to varnish and gave him $100.00 to "get on his schedule." We agreed to do a test area to see if we would like the look. He sent one of his painters out to do the test area. He was on site for 2 hours. Then Jon called to say that he was increasing the estimate by $1350.00 to $1650.00 for a total of up to $6303.00 and that was still an estimate. We declined and then Jon sent us a bill for $150.00 ($250 less the $100.00 we had given him). I had asked him in an email what the $250.00 "test area" item was on his estimate and he said that was painter labor that is billed at $49.00 per hour, so I figured I was clear and told him so in a letter. He then actually drove to my house and confronted me in my driveway to say I owed him the $150.00 for his "professional services" in consulting with us on which way we should proceed. We agreed to disagree.

Description of Work: OWNER WAS ABLE TO COME THE DAY AFTER I CALLED TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE. SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL; MORE SO THAN THE OTHER VENDORS. HOWEVER, HIS PRICE WAS TWICE AS EXPENSIVE AS ONE OTHER BID I RECEIVED AND 3 TIMES AS EXPENSIVE AS ANOTHER. WE SIMPLY COULD NOT AFFORD THE PRICE QUOTED BY MAGIC, SO WE USED ONE OF THE OTHERS INSTEAD.
