could not have been better

After having had a variety of problems, my laptop finally completely crashed. I contacted Dan at Tech Guru and he was IMMEDIATELY available to help me our of my panic (this is my work computer and I really needed it working or I wouldn't make money). When it became evident that my computer couldn't be repaired, Dan very patiently went through my options and answered any questions I had. I finally decided to purchase a Dell laptop through Tech Guru (they got a better price on it than I could on my own). Dan set me up with a loaner laptop on the spot and loaded all of the stuff I needed. Dan then asked whether he could have Colin work with me on the new computer stuff and I said yes. Colin began right away by helping me when I had questions about the loaner laptop. He was extremely responsive, provided great explanations and even worked on evenings and weekends to help make sure I had everything I needed without interrupting my work day. Once my new computer arrived, Colin immediately contacted me to let me know and lickety-split got it up and running and delivered it to me. He made very sure I was satisfied (and since he managed to recover all of the information off of my old computer and looking exactly like it looked before - I WAS EXTREMELY SATISFIED!). I am extremely happy with my new laptop and all of the great service. It is worth noting that I had used Tech Guru before on a couple of occassions and was happy with their service. I had never faced a problem quite as dramatic as this though and was really in a panic. Since Dan recognized that I had hired Tech Guru before, he asked whether I would be interested in Tech Guru's "Enlighted IT Service." It was not a hard sales pitch (thank goodness!). Dan explained that the Enlightened IT Service would allow me to pay a set price per month (basically a retainer) and then Tech Guru would be able to help me with any computer problem I have (rather than paying an hourly rate). The price was super reasonable and I signed up. The Enlightened IT Service has already paid for itself as I've found myself with a few different questions having to do with my quickbooks and Colin was able to help me out remotely. I'm no longer seeing dollar signs every time I need computer help! And the response time is incredible - as though I have my own in-house computer people. I am extremely happy with this company. They've helped make sure my company keeps working. I do not imagine anything that will get me to change to another provider since I just keep having great experiences with them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Excellent customer service. We had some issues (not related to tech gurus) with getting cable internet installed. Once it was installed, Colin from Tech Gurus came over and helped us get everything set up. Very pleasant experience. We would highly recommend this company. They are locally based.

Their recommendation that the computer parts were past their expected failure time by many years turned out to be quite accurate. The old computer failed totally a few weeks later! Meanwhile, they outperformed expectations, making 2 trips to the house to get the new inexpensive netbook functioning on the Mpls wifi network. Also installed antivirus protection etc. I was really pleased that they took the time to do this, as there were some tricky issues that we probably could not have solved ourselves.

Got the job done pretty much as I had wanted. Seems very knowledgeable and came across as a good resource for future needs.

He did what he said he would do for a very fair price. He informs me of other options, which include some that would not make him any money. I have referred to him to friends and they have all been very pleased.

Dan is friendly, very knowledgeable and thorough. He's respectfully opinionated and that's what I want from someone in an area I'm not an expert in. Dan and staff are not always in their office, so you have to make an appointment to meet them either there or at your site. I didn't find this to be a problem, especially as the extremely personal attention I received was preferable to a Big Box service provider with regular hours. Highly recommended!

I was very happy with Dan's service. My computer is a Mac, and he definitely knew Mac's. (I had difficulty finding a technician who worked with Macs.) He was friendly, and answered all my questions knowledgeably. He was able to solve all my problems. He installed the new printer, and didn't even need the manual. I had been having difficulty viewing most video clips and he was able to fix that problem for me. I have a nephew who lives in Washington, DC. He has created a website to let us stay updated on how their family is growing; but I was never able to watch the video clips he put on his website. Now I can! It's great. He also checked security on my computer. Dan gave me some tips about my computer, and what would be appropriate to update, given the age of my computer. I found that information helpful. I was very happy with his service and will definitely call upon him again when I need help with my Mac!

A lightning strike near my house zapped the entire electrical system of my house knocking out the cable modem and wireless airport. My engineering husband was out of town for the week. I work out of my home & have a teenager as well, so after media com gave us a new cable modem, we were having to plug in directly to the modem & reconfigure each computer every time we wanted to log on. I bought an Airport Extreme & tried to install it myself. I could not get it to work. After one week of no wireless, I called another company, was on hold for 1/2 hour before getting someone to set up home service. This was Thursday night & I could not get an appointment until next Thursday. On Friday morning I checked Angie's list & randomly started calling the smaller companies. Mr. Moshe picked up immediately & indicated that he could come out that evening. He came on time & spent two hours working efficiently to set up the wireless network & printer. He was very knowledgeable & professional.

It went great; Daniel Moshe showed me what I was doing wrong with the back-up drive, suggested and installed a better internet security system, and fixed some bugs with the laptop.

Everything was installed and set up very professionally and efficiently. Technical problems were dealt with immediately, and handled remotely! He didn't have to come back to fix it, he just did it working remotely!
