Great , beautiful paint job.

We love him. It was a time in the year when it was very difficult to do exterior painting in Minneapolis. We were planning to put up our garage on the market and wanted it painted before we could do that in the winter time. He found a day when it was not too cold to paint it. He did a fantastic job. We spent about $200. I was away on a business trip but my husband was here the whole time. He was great about scheduling the job. When he came to do the estimate, he did not disrupt our family. We were able to talk over the phone. We trusted him and liked is work. He got it all done with another person in the course of a few hours when it was not freezing outside. We will use his services in the future if we need it.

Tim was wonderful. I first contacted him last Fall. He came over right away, assessed the job, and gave me an estimate. We were in the process of trying to prep our house for sale, and utimately decided aganst the update. Big mistake. So, in April, I contacted Tim to see if he could do the job. Once again, he promptly responded and made time to do the job within a couple of weeks, when it was convenient for us. The upstairs looks great! He had to manuever around uneven trim work and never-before-painted old paneling. He did a beautiful job of making it look clean and finished. He also took special care to keep the room aired out and tidy during the work, which was important since we have two toddlers in the house. I would definitely recommend Tim to anyone looking for painting help!

We were very pleased with his work. He was very considerate of our requirements and paid attention to the details, like making sure things were cleaned up at the end of the day. We have more of this type of work that will need to be done and we will be calling him again when we are ready for it.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Tim! From start to finish he was professional, trustworthy, caring, and talented in his work. As a young working couple this was our first big project at home and we were concerned about having someone work at our place without us being home. We quickly realized that Tim was reliable and trustworthy and our worries about having him in our home faded. Tim was easy to reach by phone and was helpful in selecting and discussing color options. He even came over to review all of this with us in person and to make sure we were comfortable with the plan. Tim gave us an estimate pretty close to the final price. He made sure to call before buying extra paint or making decisions that would add cost to make sure we approved. We appreciated that Tim charged by the room/project rather than by the hour or day. He took the time needed to get the job done right. Tim did all of the work himself and did not bring in other workers which we liked. He did a great job with our difficult bathroom projects- one with two colors and the other with a difficult shiny glaze finish. All of the rooms look great! We are very pleased with the result and glad we had such a good experience. Would definitely highly recommend Tim to others!

We had a great experience overall working with Tim. Our timeline was extremely tight because we did not find out that we had to have the exterior peeling paint issues addressed until about 2 weeks before we were due to close on our house. Tim was able to come out to do an estimate the day after I called with my request and then he started work the following week to meet our appraisal reinspection timeline. Although his original estimate was off (due to the peeling paint being worse than anticipated on part of the house), Tim called right away to correct the estimate once he discovered the issue and charged us a fair and reasonable amount for the additional work he had to do. He even worked at our house on a Sunday in order to get everything done and help us meet our very tight timeline. Our appraiser said our painter did an excellent job and passed us on our inspection without an issue. We would not have been able to close on our house on time without Tim's help and excellent work. We experienced a few small issues with scheduling and not knowing for certain what time he would arrive at our house to do work, but overall we were extremely happy working with Tim.

Called Tim on Thursday, April 16 in the morning and he came over that evening and gave an estimate as well as a date when he could begin. He began on Thursday, April 23. Work went exactly as he stated. Completed painting on Monday, April 27. Work was done in a very professional manner. Extremely satisfied! Will definitely use this company again!!

There was some confusion and delays in terms of getting the job started, but once we got it going, Tim was very responsive and punctual. The plaster patching was OK, although not flush with the rest of the wall-sometimes the cracks were still noticeable, so perhaps this could have been better. The painting job was tough, given the faux finish, and Tim did the best he could. The price was reasonable.

We hired Tim Schaub to paint all of the exterior woodwork on our 1928 stucco house and garage. Tim and his crew did an excellent job and he provided much needed council along the way as our simple project became not so simple. Upon removal of the aluminum wraps around our windows, we discovered that a vast majority of the woodwork was rotten. Tim provided wise council-particularly important for a non-handyman like myself-and took the time to explain the different options available. Tim helped me find a carpenter to oversee the repairs and went to great lengths to make sure the work was done properly. The painting work was terrific. Tim was always committed to the overall quality of the job and was went out of his way to explain things along the way. Tim and his crew were extremely tidy, cleaning up completely each and every day. He was also very considerate in general-explaining lead paint concerns and pointing out any window screen safety concerns for my young children. Tim's very easy to get along with and pleasant to deal with. We highly recommend Tim Schaub. We will be hiring Tim again.

Tim worked at night so he could work outside during the day. He was efficient, quiet, and very professional. He pointed out things he found that I needed to know about. He fixed cracks, as needed, and was very honest about which cracks would be better off left (would just happen again). I found that very helpful. He had to work around other repair/service people and Tim was very flexible.

Tim did an excellent job with everything. He paid really close attention to detail painting the enamel woodwork. He was prompt. He was a really friendly person that was really great to work with.

Tim was very responsive - replied back to my e-mail within a day - and we set up an appointment that worked with one of my "work from home" days (within a few days). We received a bid from him within a few days after that. Tim was our "2nd choice" amongst our painting bids, and had the timing worked out differently (we chose someone who bid almost the same price, but could come within 2 weeks), we would have gone with him. (And I might just use him in the future - I highly recommend him.) The funny thing was... when I e-mailed Tim to let him know we were going with someone who could do it sooner, he called me right away to see if he could negotiate doing it sooner. We had already signed with the other company, but I respected his attempt to be flexible and accommodating for us. (I probably should have double-checked his timing again, but I assumed when he said he was 8 weeks out, he meant it.) We ended up going with someone who could do a few other projects for us anyway, so it worked out. But I'd definitely call him again if I needed another bid for painting work.

Tim was flexible in scheduling the work. He was helpful in finalizing color choices. He demonstrated knowledge and skill in painting and paid attention to details. He did an excellent job; I would use him again. He is also a personable and interesting guy.

Tim initially gave us a quote for just painting walls. We later decided to paint the kitchen and back entryway trim and doors as well and Tim was available on short notice to take a look at it and give us a new quote. He started and finished the work on time and left the house in good order. There are a couple of areas where there could have been a touch more attention to detail and some of the cutting in at the ceiling is not perfectly even, but it may not be possible to achieve that. Tim is personable and we found him easy to communicate and work with. He asked good questions up front so that we did not have to make decisions or gather information at the last minute.

Tim returned my call quickly and came around to give an estimate. He was flexible around my goofy schedule and completed the work in 11/2 weeks in spite of it. He was prompt and easy to reach and communicate with. He laid down drop cloths to protect the furniture and hard wood floors as he was painting. He cleaned up as he went. All in all I am very happy with Tim and the work he did. Also, I have a dog, and Tim and she got along great.

Tim worked with us over 2.5 days to deal with a sagging, cracked popcorn textured ceiling and to paint the walls of a bedroom. We wanted to remove the texture (so the ceiling would be smooth) and then try to repair any damage. Tim offered a solution when he came in for the estimate, and then was open to trying other solutions as necessary. We chose a color and told him over the phone about it, which was very efficient. Ultimately, we did not need to drywall or re-plaster the ceiling as it was easily repairable with screwing the sagging plaster back into the lathe (sp?), so our final costs were less than the estimate, and the ceiling looks great. The messy job of removing the texture was handled very well (Tim removed all of the debris that same day), we had no dust or residue in the closets or the rest of the house. I was impressed by how quickly he finished the job. Very quiet and professional.

Tim started on the living room on a Wednesday and was finished with the whole room including the ceiling and the trim (plus tons of molding) by Friday. Tim works alone so we felt very comfortable leaving him with keys to the house. He was prompt, polite and a joy to have around. Plus, he made sure things were cleaned up when he left. The living room actually seemed cleaner than it was before he even started working!

Tim was pleasant flexible and able to help us in color decisions. His professional painting skill has made our kitchen and hall 100% improved.

Tim responded promptly to our call and came over to give an estimate. He was very thorough in his assessment and consulted with us about colors. He estimated five days for the project and came in on time. His demeanor is professional and courteous. His work is very detailed and neat. All the rooms look great! We will call him again if we need more painting done!

Tim showed up on time to bid the job, accommodated a family emergency, and rescheduled the job for me within a short period of time. He came to paint when he said he would. He did a great job with the painting, cleaned up after each day, completed the job within the amount he bid for the job even though there was a problem with the paint. I have used him several times. He is always reliable and always does a great job.

Highly recommend. He charged a very fair price and even with the extra work honored his bid of $3800 which was the most reasonable of the bids we received. All other bids were presented as open ended. Tim's was closed. We paid what we mutually agreed upon. Period. Thank you Angie's List!

What a great experience! Tim did a wonderful job in every way - I cannot see a flaw with the quality of the work, he cleaned up every day, and the rooms look just spectacular! Some rooms were painted 2 different colors, and he did a good job in the corners where the walls meet - perfect lines, no bleeding over of colors. Great job along the baseboards and other edges. He always called to let me know if he would work a partial day instead of a full day, and kept informed of when he expected the job to be completed. He has a such a good personality to work with - easy-going yet very professional. I cannot say enough good things about this experience, and only wish every time I hired someone to do work for me that it went this well. I am going to hire him to do some faux painting; I understand he paints exteriors as well.
