Sylvestre Remodeling did a major project for me this fall and winter. They were recommended by family members who had used them several times in the past. I was very very pleased with the process and the results. Excellent quality, on time and on budget. Very good people, both employees and tradespeople. Very careful of my property throughout the project.

We love our new kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and hardwood floors! This team knows how to plan and manage a big project. We had a great collaboration with design team. There were no schedule delays. Everyone cleaned up at the end of the day. Very professional, beginning to end. Based on everything I had heard from friends and neighbors, I expected missed deadlines and work that fell short of promises. That didn't happen. Sylvestre was meticulously on schedule and on target with high quality standards. Our house is 92 years old, and this company went out of its way to respect the original architecture and design. For example, while gutting the kitchen we found that someone, decades ago, had installed a dropped ceiling. Without question, Sylvestre opted for the original high ceiling -- which meant redoing material orders, design for cabinets, etc. No extra charge to us. In cases where the work done by subcontractors wasn't up to par, Sylvestre's supervisors spotted it before we did and ordered the work redone. There were cost overruns, but always because I opted for extra features such as a slate floor in the entry way. Anyone who has done extensive remodeling knows how difficult it can be. You live amid a mess, and strangers take over your house. The Sylvestre team did everything possible to ease the pain. They cleaned up after themselves every day and walled off construction zones. Every one of them was so polite and professional that I was almost sorry to see them leave at the end of the job. Such top-notch service isn't cheap. We paid quite a bit more for this company than our lowest bid on the projects. I would do it again without hesitation.

They came out recently and we consulted them on a couple of things, but we did not end up using them. We loved them. We spent about $40000 on that service and it all turned out wonderfully. They were incredibly responsive and they had a very strong grasp on our timeline. They were very respectful of working with us in a house that we were living in during the construction. Everybody to a person was just phenomenal to deal with.

I thought the work was first rate. I wanted a new kitchen that looked old and they did that for me. It blends into the rest of the house. It looks like its been here. It is just wonderful.

We took our kitchen down to the studs. The crew from Sylvestre was wonderful. They designed the new kitchen, brought in excellent subcontractors for the work they didn't do themselves (cabinets, counter tops, floors, tiling, sheet rocking, plumbing, and electricity), did excellent work on the things they did do (carpentry - rough and finish), and served as general contractor for the project. They saw to it that all permits were taken care of, that subs came on time, and that the projects we personally needed to attend to were also done on time. They came in exactly as scheduled and on budget. They handled our concerns quickly and respectfully. Our designer was Bill - terrific. The project manager was Kate - also terrific, and lead carpenter was Les - terrific as well. In addition to all that, they set up a temporary kitchen and they cleaned up their mess every day. We are asthmatics and had very little trouble with construction dust because of their care. Our new kitchen is gorgeous.

THEY ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST BUT WORTH THE PRICE. WE HAD NO IDEA HOW TO REMODEL OUR TINY OUTDATED KITCHEN AND THEY DRAFTED UP A NUMBER OF CREATIVE PLANS FOR DIFFERENT BUDGETS. UNLIKE MOST CONTRACTORS WE HAVE DEALT WITH, THEY ARE EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE (YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC PROJECT MANAGER FOR THE JOB), SUPER ORGANIZED, ON SCHEDULE (ACTUALLY THEY ENDED UP BEING AHEAD OF SCHEDULE) AND ON BUDGET. IT WAS THE EASIEST 4 MONTHS OF REMODELING AND THE FINISHED PRODUCT IS FANTASTIC.
