The customer service for this company is absolutely terrible. When we originally called back in October to close our pool it was so hard for Tricia to stay in touch with us regarding what was going on with our appointment. We decided to try again this spring and let then open our pool. Keep in mind this is a business that you’d think would keep detailed records of what they have done at a residence previously. The first attempt to open our pool, we were told the guy came out but couldn’t do his job because he didn’t bring the proper equipment. Rather than call us and let us know what happened, Tricia who has already had poor communication problems previously proceeds to explain to me that she works “6am-3pm and answers emails then” also that we would be scheduled for the following Thursday because this was the soonest they could fit us in. So the two guys show up and just leave the hose to drain water off the tarp, sliced the water bags we paid for and now can no longer use them again. Then proceed to leave without telling us to possibly check the hose and turn it off or anything. They come back out to remove the tarp then we had to make sure they were coming back to clean the pool because apparently this step isn’t included in the pool opening process. We had an appointment scheduled to which we were told the guy came but since we have been working remotely due to COVID we know that is yet another lie we have been told. Too many times Tricia is quick to place blame or drop the ball. I’m so glad we are no longer working with this company.

This is the company to hire for all your pool service needs. We signed up this year for their summer package of weekly pool cleaning and maintenance and from the day we signed up it has been an absolutely wonderful experience. Not only are they wonderful at taking care of your pool, but they have the best customer service as well. The person who cleans our pool does an amazing job each and every week. I can honestly say that I will never give them up. Just an all around great company with wonderful employess and service.

Top-notch service by Scott. First time pool owners. Scott helped with liner selection, taught us how to clean the pool, didn't oversell. Friendly, expert advice from his 30 years in the business. Very easy to work with. HIGHLY recommend!

Why is this person giving us a grade 2 years after the fact. If this actually occurred then the Eickman’s should have written to Angie’s List at that time. We have no record of this person in our files. This supposedly happened in April of 2012 and is just now being reported. Seriously who does this?

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I had to pay thousands and thousands of dollars extra. He recommended somebody for our deck and that person ruined our deck and never came back to fix it. The company is such a disaster that I would never recommend them. We've called them a couple of times a week. The biggest problem was the friend he recommended that ruined our tile. He never stood by his recommendation. We paid $2,000 to have the tile sealed and he ruined the tile by sealing it with the wrong product. Nobody addressed the problems. Then I got a bill for $6,000 5 months after the fact but I have not paid it.

[removed member name] did indeed buy the Angie’s List special for the spring of 2013. We did clean the pool for the agreed upon amount just as promised. The cost to Ms [removed member name] was thousands of dollars more because she needed a new drum for the autocover, a new motor and to re-set her coping stones. [removed member name] was billed at the time and did not pay. It was after being told that it would go to collections that [removed member name] finally agreed to pay about 80% of the bill. That was in February. The same time that she gave our company an “F” rating. If the work or workmanship was actually bad then she would have rated us poorly at the time of service. It was only when being told to pay that she gave us the rating she did. She didn’t actually pay until March of 2014. We did give the customer the name of a person to work on her pool deck. We are not responsible for her interactions with them. However, [removed member name] did not follow the procedure the deck company recommended and then blamed them for the problems. That company did come back to try and make it right.

The team was on time. work quickly and efficiently. I was not required to be home or to pay at the time of the service. I received a bill for the verbally quoted service in the mail 2 weeks later. Great experience and close to 100.00 cheaper than the company that serviced my pool the last 2 years. I will be calling them again!

Everything about this company is positive. My husband and I would recommend them to any one! They are so freindly and when we would call, we talked to Scott or he would call right back. This isn't a company that works 5 days a week. If you need them, they will come any time, even on week- ends. They have made special trip to our home, when they knew we were having a party or just wanted the pool to be perfect. Wonderful, wonderful people that I consider my friends. I wouldn't call any one else!!! Don't hesitate to have them take care of any needs.
Description of Work: Sunday's Off opened our pool in the Spring and closed it in the fall. They maintained it all summer and kept the pool looking perfect. All of the chemicals and repairs were done and reasonable prices. They are the best!!

We hired Sunday's Off after our relationship with Dolphin Pools fell apart this spring. The responsiveness and quality have been excellent. The heater, multi-port valve and plumbing were installed without a hitch. Couldn't have gone better. Their service guys are nice, professional and courteous. The prices were researched and we found them fair. In addition to those items, however, we had a very difficult problem with our Aquamat Auto Cover. It was a long process trying to determine what was wrong with it, requiring many trips to our rural location. It really racked up the service hours. The bill we received at the end of the process was staggering and alarming. However, on the invoice, we were directed to contact Scott, the owner, to discuss. When I called, Scott was very clear that he knew the bill was high and explained that he didn't expect us to pay the entire amount; that it simply reflected the time that was devoted to the problem (which I knew was an accurate account of the time spent). He was clear that he wanted us to be happy and would work with us to determine an amount we thought was fair. Coming on the heels of our problems with Dolphin Pools, it was upsetting to receive a bill so unexpectedly high. I think a phone call prior to receiving the bill would have helped. Because the troubleshooting and repair spanned most of the summer, I also think it would have been good to have updates from Sunday's Off, or perhaps advice from them that we needed to pull the plug on the repair, since the service hours were spiraling out of control. But this is my only issue. When the Aquamat company returned our rebuilt motor it still did not work. After another attempt to get it working, Sunday's Off provided us with a temporary motor to use until we replace our cover system in another year or so. And we do appreciate that level of service. Of course, Scott did work with us on the cost. He really stuck by his word that he wanted us to be happy and to continue working with us. In the end, we are happy. I do believe Sunday's Off is a great pool company to work with.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are sorry that you are unhappy with the services we provided. Looking at your invoice, the service we provided was at the cost we quoted. We provided an additional clean-up as asked and delivered requested chemicals which was the extra cost. Please contact us to discuss this issue further. Thank you for your buisness and feedback. Most recently, (and this has taken place several times over the years) I called Scott a couple of weeks ago. I said. "Scott...I have a special pool day party upcoming for our grand-daughters and some of their girl friends. I can't get down to the pool, as I'm on FMLA from work, attending to my wife who has a severe sudden heart condition. I need you desperately, because the pool party is August 9th, Monday, 2010. I want it to be super nice for the 'grandies.'" Scott said, "Brad, you just take care of your wife and, as always, I'll take care of your pool." Scott was out three times the week before the party, including the VERY MORNING of the party to make sure everything was perfect. Folks, it WAS perfect! The 'grandies' had a super day. Scott helped in a big way to make this so very nice. Thanks again, Scott, if I forgot to call you and tell you that!!! My thoughts are, if you now own a swimming pool or are thinking of putting one in, you owe it to yourself to experience the Sunday's Off, Inc./Scott London experience!
Description of Work: I have used Sunday's Off, Inc. since 1988! I live in Plymouth, Minnesota, and Scott London, Owner was recommended to me when we bought our home with a swimming pool. Scott "opens" and "closes" our pool every spring and autumn. He has performed countless numbers of services and products to us over the years.......NEVER in a "pushy" kind of way. Scott and his employees are honest, prompt, courteous and cost-effective. Allow me to state some of the services/products Scott has performed and installed successfully for us over the many years. Services: Weekly pool cleaning/chemicals which he has always done to perfection. Did I say perfectionist? Yes. That's what Scott and his people are. He vacuums/skims/ cleans pump & skimmer baskets/nets/tests to achieve perfection with chemicals to give proper balance of such, and, after he/they leave, you don't even know they were there, except your pool is clean & sparkly and there is no debris left behind.( I first thought when we moved in, all I needed to do was toss in some chlorine tablets every few days....doesn't work that way.) Products: Scott has replaced our "liner" a couple of times. I hasten to point out that the need for a new liner(s) was NO fault of Sunday's Off or Scott London and his employees. Stuff just happens. All it takes is for one of the kids/grandkids to poke a hole in it with a sharp object. One time in a severe storm, the wind blew some pool furniture into the pool and a pool chair ripped the liner. Stuff like that. Heck, some people just get tired of the color of their liner and replace it on that basis!! Heater: I had a heater for many years.(same one).....finally gave out. Scott recommened a 'state-of-the-art' latest & greatest type of heater with digital components, that is so very user-friendly, even a pool dummy like me can get it to do what it's supposed to do. Pool pump and sand filter: Pumps are simply motors. They wear out. Scott has replaced it, as well as our sand-filter. Sand Filters are involved in the "back-washing" and "rinsing" process. They eventually get clogged and need to be cleaned, not replaced every time they get 'icky' & all 'gummed up'. But, like any other equipment piece, sometimes you just need to 'update' and replace. Scott does it all. Winter covers and water bags: We still have the 'old-fashioned' type of vinyl winter cover that necessitates the use of filled water bags to be placed strategically around the pool to hold the cover on. Scott takes care of all of that. Pool ladders/supplies/chemicals....there just isn't ANY pool item that is available that would 'stump' Scott......AND; he get get ANY & ALL of your pool needs met! My name is: Bradley Haigh 3780 Rosewood Lane North Plymouth, Minnesota 55441-1128 Res. Tel.: 763-557-1268 Res. Fax: 763-577-5980 e-mail: bhaigh@soncom.com I would recommend HIGHLY, Scott London, Sunday's Off, Inc. to any pool owner, residential OR commercial. In closing, I feel that I should mention that this endorsement by me was un-solicted, I'm NOT on Scott's payroll, I am doing this because I think in this day & age, with all of us busy, busy......and, some of us quick to complain about stuff, that, when you DO get GREAT service from a company, we should all take a few moments out of our lives to give a 'pat-on-the-back' when it's deserved!!!!

They pumped water off the cover, took the cover off (but didn't clean it before folding it), put in the proper chemicals and over the next week and a half got the pool ready for swimming. However, there is often a period of time in the spring when they don't come exactly when they say or finish opening in the time period they estimate. Weekly maintenance is usually very good.

I will never use them again and would recommend searching for another pool company.
Description of Work: Scott from Sundays off is very good, however, his staff is less than knowledgeable. I have a small built in spa and with a 2nd home and 2 children 2 and under was not wanting pool maintenance to add to my list. I was having trouble with another pool company showing up when they said and I called Scott and he was in the neighborhood and here within minutes. A good start to things. They did maintenance weekly and weekly there was grit in the pool. It was determined much later in the season that the filter was cracked. There were several people who came who did not not know how to disarm my pool alarm, this would seem to be an important item to know about as a pool company. I had light trouble and they came several times to fix the light, I was never told the price, even though I asked, and was billed for both trips, and 800 for the light. Scott did make adjustments on the bill but seeing as how the light still does not work, apparently it is connected to an outlet. The first team out never checked the power at the light connector and the second team did however the first team left the original light unsealed and it was no longer usable, the outlet still needs to be repaired and the light still does not work, it would seem to me that they would have checked the amps at the connection first, but they failed to and ended up costing me 839 dollars more than it should have. Lastly, I called Scott to close down my pool. He called back the next morning and I told him to take us off the schedule and I would let him know if we needed him to close it down as we were toying with the idea of taking out the pool. We decided to take the pool out in the spring and we DID NOT need it to be winterized. I never called Scott back and they were here today or yesterday and winterized the pool. I never authorized this. Now I will end up with a bill for service I never authorized and never wanted to add to this debacle my $250 pool alarm was submerged into the water they left in the pool. WHY????????

THERE WERE, OVER THE ENTIRE SEASON, A COUPLE OF TIMES WHEN I FELT THINGS WERE NOT DONE SATISFACTORILY, BUT EACH TIME THEY WERE NOTIFIED, THE SITUATION WAS HANDLED THE VERY NEXT DAY. WHEN THEY HANDLED MY POOL CLOSING, THEY LOWERED THE WATER LEVEL THEMSELVES (THE LAST COMPANY I USED REQUIRED ME TO DO THAT) AND TREATED THE WATER ONE DAY THEN RETURNED THE NEXT TO COMPETE TREATMENT AND PLACE THE COVER. FOR AND ADDITIONAL FEE THEY ALSO WINTERIZED MY POOL HOUSE (BLEW OUT THE LINES). THIS COMPANY WAS RECOMMENDED TO ME PRIOR TO MY BECOMING AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER. I AM GLAD THEY ARE ON 'THE LIST' SO I COULD RECOMMEND THEM MYSELF. SCOTT AND TROY HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL AND ACCOMMODATING.
