Bill and Dave are great to work with. They took care of all the problem limbs in my yard. I have them coming out again to deal with a storm-damaged tree.

The tree was seriously damaged in a hail storm with about 25 percent of the tree falling off that night. Examination in the morning showed that the tree was seriously rotting (which explained the interest shown by woodpeckers for the last couple of years) and that we had to bring the tree down on our timetable or it would fall at the worst possible moment in the worst possible place (we are big believers in Murphy's law). We called three reputable trimming services from Angie's List and this was the only one that responded at all. There was a lot of damage in our area from the storm but we found this a bit exceptional. Sticks came out and looked at the situation and made a reasonable bid. Since we had no response from the other services, we decided that this one bid was probably good enough and accepted it. They were punctual once we got on their schedule and they did the job right and fast. Best of all, they were willing to delay billing for a few days until we had money in the bank to pay the bill.

Their quote was not the lowest but it was competitive with others and they seemd to have good experience so I went with them. They handled everything perfectly. They used a boom truck where possible so that speeded up the process significantly. Nothing was damaged as they took down the trees. The stump grinding was excellent, and the Bobcat work was perfect. I would use them again.

They showed up to give an estimate the day we called them, and came back the next day to do the work. They were very polite and cleaned up everything very well, and stacked some of the wood out of the way that we wanted to keep for firewood. They were recommended by my sister, for whom they did some tree work last year.

I was very satisfied with them and they were very prompt. They did a good job of taking it out. The primary thing that started us off towards them was their price and they were on Angie's List. They were very prompt about getting us a quote and then they just did what they said they were going to do. The price was excellent.

Stump removal was complete and all the work was done as promised. They did a great job.

This is a small operation and we were dealing with owner operators. They came out and estimated for us. Because of rain delays, service was going to be done while we were away. The actual trimmer wanted to stop by before we left to be sure we could show precisely what we wanted and we got excellent advice from him that was consistent with his partner's estimate. Neighbors reported the work was done quickly carefully and they couldn't believe how clean they left the site.

Their work was excellent, they showed up when they said they would and they gave us a great price. They cleaned up after themselves and the tree looks great.

The Crab Apple in the back needed to come down (it was old, overgrown, diseased, and out of shape). We told them we wanted the wood, but they could "chip" the smaller limbs and branches. They did an excellent job in a timely manner, and cleaned up the surrounding grounds very good afterwards. For the 2 Maples in the front yard, initially we asked to have them trimmed into some sort of "tree" shape as they were quite distorted, having been storm damaged over the years. Also, if they could cut back a couple long limbs from each, that were hanging over the house, touching the roof. But, the more they progressed on the "trimming" the more they found dead, decayed limbs. They stopped their work and kindly showed us in specific locations that it wasn't worth to try and save them, as it wouldn't be long before we'd need to take them down - if a storm didn't bring them down sooner our house. Clearly we saw we couldn't take the risk, and asked for a new, revised quote. Within a few minutes they gave us a new quote to proceed taking them down, which turned out to be a few hundred dollars LESS than what we expected (of course, I think already being "on site" & on-the-job helped to obtain a lower quote). Again, we told them we'd take the wood, but they could "chip" the smaller limbs and branches. They couldn't complete the job the first day, but they were promptly back the 2nd day to take down and "dice-up" the remaining 2 trunks. I'm pretty sure they could've finished the job in the first day if they'd known ahead of time that they were going to take down 2 Maples, vs just trimming them. After the cutting back of the limbs to the main trunks were done they took time to blow off the resulting sawdust, wood chips, etc. from our roof, gutters, downspout, and surrounding rock around the front of the house - I was impressed! :)
