The house was built in 1905 and the bathroom had been badly done years ago. Steven worked with me to save and reuse many original features such as the cast iron clawfoot tub and the detailed woodwork. Other companies that bid on the job suggested smashing up the tub and replacing it with some expensive acrylic thing, but Steven was willing to get it moved out of the room and restore the outside for me. He even silver-leafed the feet! He did an amazing job on the tile floor and walls; every line is perfectly straight and every detail is correct, including intricate cuts around the fancy molding. His plaster work is immaculate; he built out walls and straightened corners so that the tile work would be straight. He is an old-fashioned, good craftsman who takes pride in his work. He's very polite and persisted despite many obstacles. He's not fast; he takes the time to do it right. He was as neat as possible and warned me when he'd be doing something dusty or noisy. Worth every penny!
