Jim and his daughter were prompt, responsive, polite, professional, and meticulous. The work is flawless. I highly recommend them. It took a little longer than expected due to an illness in the family. That was no problem for me.

I called Jim and made an appointment for him to come out and assess the drywall work that needed to be completed. He arrived at the house the day of our appointment, listened to what I wanted done, talked about what he would do to repair my drywall, including re-taping, mudding, sanding, etc., and took lots of measurements. He stated that he would get back to me with an estimate. That was three weeks ago and I haven t heard a word from him since. The job was completed very nicely by someone else I found on Angie s List.

Jim stopped out to check out the job, he took notes/measurements and seemed helpful and pleasant. He said he would get back to us with the bid in a week or so, but he never did. I contacted him weeks later to see if maybe he missed somehow in his workload, but even after that second contact we never did hear from him again. I'm assuming he wasn't interested in the job after all, but would have liked to hear it from him.

The job went very well. We loved the job that they did drywalling our basement that we hired them to paint it as well. Jim and his daughter are a great team and they take great pride in their work. And even cleaned (wet-mopped) the floor when they were finished. I will absolutely recommend them to others and hire them again for other projects.

Jim was recommended to us when we tried to call another Angie's List contractor who was booked 4 weeks out. Jim and his daughter, Jamie, do a wonderful job. They came out to do the estimate, were very thorough and offered suggestions on how we could make it better. Although his bid was slightly higher than others we received (about $200) we went with him because I knew we'd have great service. Within minutes of them finishing the prep for hanging the drywall, the drywall installer arrived. They don't waste time on the job. Sanding the drywall can get messy, but they were quick to clean up and I even came home to find the floor at the top of the stairs mopped where dust had accumulated. (Thanks, Jamie!)We have a support beam in the room which had twisted over the years and they disguised it well. We liked the finished result so much that we hired them to paint the room as well. We will absolutely recommend them to others and hire them again for other projects.

We found Sterling Drywall on Angie's List and called for an estimate. Jim came by with his drywall hanger and the electrician he uses. Having them all there was great to bounce ideas off and to really let them see what would need to be done. This ensured an accurate estimate (yes, you can use those two words in the same sentence when dealing with Jim). Within two days we had a verbal estimate and in another couple of days we had it in writing. It was the same price we paid in the end. Work started promptly. Jim explained what would get done and when. The electricians showed up when needed as well as the heating expert. No days were wasted and all was done in under two weeks. Everyone who came to work on the project under the Sterling Drywall contract was courteous, thorough and cleaned up after. We had two other bids to consider. One didn't visit the site, the other came in at 3 times the price we expected. We plan on using Sterling Drywall again.

We tried to save money and fix the ceiling ourselves and it looked horrible! I heard that it is more difficult to try to fix a bad job once it is started. But Jim came in and was such an artist that you can't even tell where the repairs were made. It is beautiful! He also installed our new cabinets with a lot of custom detailed trim. Great precision work! We couldn't be happier!
