Description of Work: Our garage had an attached shed which housed the breaker box for the shed and garage. We are tearing down the shed so the box needed to be moved to the garage. The electrician had to break up a concrete pad to move the underground line as well.

The electrician sent to do the job was excellent, very pleasant, worked hard, and was obviously very knowledgeable about his job. He cleaned up any mess. In all, we were very happy with the work that Paul Stafford Electric did for us.
Description of Work: Added several outlets and extra breaker panel to our old (1913) home in SW Minneapolis.

Picked them because they gave the lowest of three estimates (and because of Paul's motorcycle), and there weren't any surprises with the final bill. Great job at a great price, thanks much for the work!

+ 1 moreMr. Stafford came out personally to do the bid, he took the time to get all the details of the work I wanted done. The person who did the work was very polite knowledgeable and did a great job. He cleaned up after himself; you would have never know there was any work done.
Description of Work: Remove old lighting fixture and replace it with a ceiling fan. Remove old (2 of them) outside security lights on the garage and replace them.

+ -1 moreI was referred to Paul Stafford from Phil Jakopin of Creating Spaces who was doing some remodeling for us. I trusted Phil's judgement and we found Stafford's work to be great, and both the electricians we met were very friendly. I can't comment on price, since I am not too familiar with many quotes, but they did spend about two days here and made sure it was done well.
Description of Work: Stafford did several jobs around the home for us, installing new sunken lighting in our living room, removing old ceiling fans, put up ceiling light, and installed a new fan in a room that didn't previously have one. They also helped hook up a sound system and rewired a new outlet into the back of a cupboard for our TV.

+ -1 moreJim was the principal worker at our house. He arrived when he said he would on most days. I had Jim go over the workplan with me floor by floor. He answered all my questions with good detail. Jim talked to us about how the cleanup suited us on the first day and kept it at that level for all the days of work. There were a few stray staples and wood fragments left around. Even though Stafford employees were busy, they changed plans for us when our landscaping wasn't done before the condenser should have been installed. The only minor negative was the insulation was not placed back after new ducts were installed. For the price, the value of this A/C installation was excellent. (I like that they are only a few blocks from my home also.)

+ -1 moreMr. Paul Stafford came to our home to inspect and bid the job and work that needed to be done. He gave me a bid, and we set up the job immediately. His company did all of the arranging with Excel to transition the wiring into our home from three wires to the triplex wire, and they explained to us the process we needed to do to have the city inspector come out and inspect their job after it was finished. Dave was on time, hard working, knew exactly what he was doing, and that is saying a lot because our home was tricky being 50 years old. He always took his shoes off at the door, and cleaned up after himself. What a great company!
Description of Work: Upgraded our home electrical panel from fuses to circuit breakers, added a receptacle on the outside of our home to accept a triplex wire from the main pole, and installed four new outdoor light fixtures.
