They reassured us that the electrical systems looked okay. They did their job and they were friendly. They told us that our electrical system was up to code.

After explaining the project he seemed to try and talk me out of hanging the wall sconces, since they would need to open up the wall and pull wire. We were simply looking for price. Lastly, their quote was 30% higher that the other bids we received.

+ 0 moreWe called for the estimate in mid-August and they were able to get out within the next few days to meet with us. The gentleman who came out was very personable and assured us they could do the job & it wasn't a difficult task. Later that afternoon, we received the quote via email and a copy was received later the next week via hard copy. Once we were OK to proceed with the work, we called them up and were able to schedule a time for the work to be completed within the week. On Friday morning (less than 4 hours), 2 worker's completed all of the work. The staff has been diligent on following up with us for the city's inspection - which will be completed next week. We'll update our report if anything changes. But we're confident things will check out OK.
Description of Work: We had a new outdoor receptical (?sp) put in on the exterior of our home and the wiring laid for a solar-sensored light for our new flag pole. All of which provided by the contractor.

+ 0 moreThe service was fantastic and the best was all he got done in just 90 minutes. We just hired them to fix the front porch light but he was done in 15 minutes and said he had to charge us for an hour so did we need anything else done? I started listing broken things and he did one after the other lickety split. Then he just had 10 minutes left and I took him downstairs to show him a light fixture we had given up on. He figured it out in a couple minutes but said it would take him over the hour and did I want to get it fixed? Yeah I did! So in less than 30 minutes we had that broken ceiling light fixed. He was great and the entire bill was under $200.
Description of Work: Fixed our porch light. Fixed outlets in our den and kitchen - four in all. Fixed light switches in our den that were not working. Pulled wires in ceiling fixtures in the basement to get light to come on with the rest.

+ -1 moreElectrician called early and asked if he could come early. He arrived at the new time promptly. After examining the problem, he determined what was wrong with the electrical connection to half of our basement, and in 30 minutes he had fixed the problem. Parts were $7.50! Since they charge by the hour and I had 30 minutes left on the clock, he offered to examine the non-working light fixture in our hallway, and install the new fixture. With 15 minutes left, I had him install the light fixture to my son's ceiling, which I had intended to do myself. Overall he was very nice, helpful, and explained everything he was doing and why as he did them, after having ok'd the repair with me.
Description of Work: Restored electrical functioning to basement after storm, installed hall light fixture, installed bedroom fixture.

Scheduling with the office was easy and they got back to me right away. Dave came out on time to do the work on one of the hottest days--90 plus degrees and got started right away. He was very self-sufficient, professional, and friendly. Finished earlier than projected, went over everything with me, and even swept the stairs. Both fans were done neatly and look great. We won't hesitated to call them again for other electrical projects in the future.

+ 0 moreThe technician Dave arrived on time-10 minutes early in fact and fixed our cable cord and hallway light switches within a half hour. He gave an estimate on installing a cable outlet in our downstairs and informed us of an alternative way that could save us some money by drilling a hole through the wall and threading a cable cord through and hooking up the TV ourselves. He had some extra time and also looked at our air conditioner and found some wiring that was wrong and fixed it for us so the air conditioner now works. It was a great experience. Dave was very professional, knowledgeable and honest, We would use this company again.
Description of Work: Fixed a cable outlet, the light switch wiring in hallway. Fixed air conditioner wiring. Drilled holes in the wall so we could thread a cable cord through.

+ -1 moreThe installer (Steve) arrived promptly when he said he would. The existing electrical did not have the proper ground, so he spent extra time to tie into another outlet that had a ground. He also discovered insulation above the ceiling that hadn't been removed when the attic was converted by a previous owner. He had to spend extra time working around that insulation and cleaning up. Despite this, the final bill remained the same as the initially quoted estimate. The exhaust fan that Steve installed works beautfully, our mirrors no longer fog up during showers and the bathroom feels noticeably less humid.
Description of Work: Installed bathroom exhaust fan (110 cfm, 1.3 sones) and stack switch to tie into existing electrical.

The technician came right on time and spent about an hour checking the system, which turned out to be in good shape. It did need some refrigerant, which added about $10 to the bill, but that was it. Prices seem more than competitive with others in town.
Description of Work: Check up and tune-up of our air conditioner. It's about 15 years old, and seems to be running fine, but we wanted to make sure everything was in order before summer hit.

We chose Paul Stafford due to the combination of price and products that best suited our needs. Again, very close. The experience was great every step of the way from setting up the initial appointment for the quote right through to the final install, cleanup, and receipt of final paperwork immediately aftwerwards. Everyone was very professional, courteous, and very neat. They were also very helpful in identifying all the various tax and energy credits and explaining how to get them.

They explained what they were going to do in the estimation process. When they arrived, the electrician verified what they were going to do and he completed the job.

Explained all to me in detail so I could understand. It all took at least 1/2 hour. In the process he told me that I don't need a new box, or anything really at this time. What I had was all working properly and in good condition. The charge for all he did was $0.00. I so much appreciate his honesty and highly recommend this company to anyone!
