Very nice job and appropriate price.

I could write many reports on Stafford - In the past, they have replaced my old forced-air furnace with a new more energy-efficient furnace, they replaced my older whole house AC that was leaking coolant with a new more energy efficient unit and they have done regular seasonal tune-ups on both. This particular report is about the most recent tune-up work - the furnace tune-up. I was able to contact Peggy at Stafford and get an appointment that fit my schedule. I also mentioned that the (Bryant Evolution) thermostat showed an 'error' message. The technician (sorry, his name slips my mind) arrived on time and went to work. He performed the needed tune-up work and was able to diagnose the 'error' message and take care of resolving it. I was not charged anything extra to resolve the error message, which pleased me - It indicated to me that this Stafford tech and Stafford in general is not trying to nickel and dime its' customers. Stafford has performed admirably for me in their prior work experience with me and, assuming this continues, I will continue to use them and, if asked, will recommend them to others.

It went very well. They were on time. They left the place spotless. They were friendly and efficient.

We had no existing range hood of any kind, and the guy from Stafford had to take the one we had purchased (a Broan island hood) and install it, including venting it through the kitchen ceiling to the outside wall. In addition, code requires a make-up air vent and fan in the basement, wired to turn on when the hood is in use. All of this work was performed extremely well. I'd certainly use them again.

My first contact with Stafford was with their office. They were professional and friendly. They scheduled a free estimate for the following week. They called the day before to confirm the appointment. Kris was prompt (actually a little early), very professional, knowledgeable about the code laws in the city and let me know that some of the things that other vendors told me I had to do, did not have to be done because they were grandfathered in. This made me a little hesitant at first, but then another one of the companies I had bidding on the job confirmed with the local electrical company that these items were indeed grandfathered in. The electrical company confirmed that Kris' statements were accurate. Kris was very detailed and organized. The estimate that I received from Stafford was very precise, easy to read and understand. The Stafford estimate was very reasonable and on par with another vendor. I choose Stafford because of their knowledge of the codes and old houses (mine was built in 1912), their proximity to my house, their communication skills and the respectful way I was treated. The work was to take approximately 2 days. Stafford called the day before the appointed work days to ask if the electrician could arrive slightly later (a half an hour) than had been originally agreed upon. It was OK by me. I have been very impressed with their communication skills; the electricians included. Dave arrived on time and had booties for walking around on the first and second levels of my house. I gave him the tour and told him that I wanted to add on a couple of things that were not in the original estimate (the installation of a couple of lighting fixtures and dimmers). He had no problem with this. He was pleasant and industrious. Two other electricians arrived later to work on the schematic/list of the circuit board. The three worked very well and efficiently together. I felt very comfortable with them in my home. They all seemed to be as knowledgeable about the electrical codes as Kris was. The lead electrician, Dave, arrived alone on the second day and completed his work by mid-day, earlier than my expectations. On job completion, they left the house clean and left nothing behind. The electrical panel list was emailed to me on the morning of the second day. Their were a couple of omissions and clarifications on the list which were corrected promptly. The bill came in exactly as planned plus the fixture installations I had them add on to the original contract. The cost of the add-ons was very reasonable. I would recommend Stafford Home Services with full confidence that they would do a good job on the electrical system in any home; especially an old one. My greatest appreciation was the respect they showed me and my house. I have two more fixtures arriving within the next two weeks. I will be contacting Stafford to have them install these fixtures also.

I wanted to bring my 1925 home into the 21st century, and replace the fuse box. They had the best estimate, and I had used them before for some electrical work. They got the work done in the time they said it would take

Stafford's service and professionalism have been excellent from start to finish. When they came to do the initial estimate, Dan spent over an hour talking with me about various options that would be right for my house. The bid was competitive and I felt really confident making the decision. Installation was on time and very smooth. The new system works great. Stafford even organized all the rebate paperwork for me. I wish all service providers aspired to Stafford's level of excellence. I recommend them without reservation.

It went great. I felt that they were very helpful with the bidding process and were quick to set up an appointment. The entire experience was wonderful.

It went fine. They took 2 days to complete the work. They didn't leave any mess. The estimate was exactly what we ended up paying.

The estimate was very quick and professional. He was on time. It took him about 5 minutes. He wrote up an estimate on the spot. I called them to have them come out on the 6th early in the morning to do the work. The office worker had the complete estimate information on file. She was able to quickly look up the services and pricing. Later, they called me back and rescheduled for an afternoon appointment. For the appointment, they were a little bit late, so I called the office to find out where they were at. The office picked up right away when I called. They said they were running a little bit late. They arrived 45 minutes late. 2 technicians came. They got to work very quickly. They finished the job very quickly and did a nice job. We plan to use them again for some other electrical work that we need done.

We like the unit, and will use him again to install some radiators in the basement. Paul has a small business which is very reliable. The people who did the work were very nice. We would recommend him to others.

My experience with Stafford was excellent from start to finish. Kris came to my home to give the estimate. He was very thorough, both in listening to each item on my list and suggesting solutions, and in providing a detailed, clearly written estimate. I got several estimates for this work, and Stafford gave me the greatest comfort level that they could handle the wide variety of requests on my list. On the day of the work, there were several electricians here all day. Dave was the lead electrician, and was good about explaining and answering my questions as the work progressed. The new exhaust fan and bathroom light included a switch with a dimmer for the light and a timer for the fan. We like this feature, but did not realize how sensitive it can be; when I attempted to remove a burned out light bulb without turning off the switch first, it shorted out the switch. Since this type of switch had to be special ordered, Stafford returned to put in a temporary switch, and then returned later to replace with the new dimmer switch. I was not charged for this additional work, which I appreciated. I will definitely call Stafford for my future electrical needs – their professional approach to customer service is outstanding.

The old heater/exhaust fan had burned out. Replacement fans without heat element were smaller than existing ceiling hole. We chose an exhaust fan with a heating element that was a close fit---so no replastering needed. Still not a simple fix, though, because the vent to the roof needed to be enlarged. We were so glad to have an expert handle it! The job took about 4 hours. Cleanup was excellent. The new fan is super-quiet...and it works.

Called Stafford as soon as the opened in the morning. Their resource was on another call. He made us his next stop. Showed up in the late morning. Spent several hours troubleshooting what ended up being several tricky electrical problems. Was very professional and personable. We have used Stafford a couple of times in the past for other services and have always been very pleased with the work that they do. Would definitely recommend with no reservation.

Everything went very well from the estimate with Kris to the work by Steve. The work took just over one day to complete and Steve was very neat. Because we were working in a finished basement, we were not sure how many extra holes would be needed in order to get the new lights installed. In the end, no extra ones were needed which was amazing. I couldn't be happier.

Very knowledgable, courteous, professional. He had been running late, but called to alert me and apologize. Stafford is a first-rate company. Thanks!

I felt like they were most concerned about getting paid. They weren’t very friendly when they come to my home. They took a while to come out when they fixed an electrical box in the winter. They didn’t make any contact with me to let me know what was going on. I could hear them outside when I didn’t have any electricity and they were talking really loud. I wish they would have told me what they were doing and kept me in the loop.

They have been here a few times. We would use them again.

I called Stafford and they were able to come out same day. The technician fixed the problem and gave us additional options for follow-up work. I was extremely grateful that they were able to come out same day.

I got a free in-house estimate from the company approximately a week earlier. He verified that I need a new box and I scheduled an appointment for service over the phone. The technician came in the morning on-time and worked on it until it was finished. A few days later a city inspector came and checked off all the work. I'm really happy with the work they did - will hire again.

They do an excellent work and I have been using them for many years. They are very competent work and when they do something they do it right. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future.

I liked them. One thing I did not like was that I had some follow-up issues with them when there was a mechanical problem with the fan. I would recommend them to others. They were right on time.

There was a drain line of the furnace that was loose. They unplugged and reattached it. It may have been free because I had their 10-year warranty. Everything was just excellent.
