Dan was punctual & very knowledgeable. I was impressed, but decided to go with another company that could do the work in a day (by bringing in a large crew) as opposed to a 2-man crew working for about a week.

Helpful on the phone. Did all work in one trip. Friendly. Forgot to follow up as discussed at end of work.

We are very happy with our service. Chris provided a quote that was the final price. Stanford Home Services was also able to complete the work as scheduled. Steve was very knowledge and easy to work with. He was prompt and remove the old fans and the boxes from the new fans. Loved not having the extra trash/recycling to deal with. We are first time customer and plan to use them again for our electrical needs.

arrived on time. completed the work in under two hours. installed the wall mount for the new tv and did all the necessary wiring work for cable connection and dvd player. hung the tv and made sure everything was working properly. cleaned up the space and took all the boxes with him to recycle. it looks and works great!!! would recommend him to everyone.

They gave me an accurate estimate and discount as an Angie's List member. The persons doing the work were prompt and minimized the damage to my lawn. They also clearly marked the end of the conduit so that Excel Energy can find it when they bury these cables later. I will consider using Stafford Home Services for other electrical work when needed.

Kris came out for a no cost estimate. described everything in detail and provided a written "no surprise" quote - work is based on what needs to be done and not how much time is spent completing the job....great way for no added costs. Steve and his helper showed up on time to complete the job. In three hours they completed everything that was covered in the proposal. Very happy with results from start to finish.

Everyone I spoke with and met were very nice. They knew exactly what needed to be done and were able to answer all my questions. The work was done professionally. The electrician arrived on time and was very kind.

Chris and Dan came out to discuss the overall work. Mechanical: Dan was helpful in discussing ways we could reroute the ducts out of the main living area and bathroom and down the hall. He advised on returns and supplies and adding some in the basement to improve the flow. He recommended an abatement company - Envirobate - who I hired to do the work (easy to work with - it turned out great too and wasn't expensive at all). The Stafford team coordinated with Jeff at Envirobate. The project started Monday bright and early with Envirobate removing the old ductwork, and then Chuck at Stafford moving the electrical mains in the way of where the new ductwork was going. Then George ultimately did the work putting in the ductwork and making sure all the old returns were actually connected (discovered one in a corner that was connected in the old ductwork after Chuck put in a new light - ha!). The ductwork was actually custom throughout - George did a great job keeping it within the beams and ceiling height so we had as much headroom as possible. It is a quite an art - all the twists and turns. We have modern art in our laundry room now! The inspector was impressed too. Electrical: Chris advised on the best way to approach since we're planning on redoing the kitchen in the fall. So we did only the minimum since more would have to be done in the fall to accommodate new appliances, and they advised not to finish the ceiling until after the kitchen is done too. Chuck did the work, moving the main circuits to accommodate the new duct run ,and added outlets and switches to the framing, and new can lights in the living areas and other lights in the furnace and laundry room. Chuck also put in a fan to the basement bathroom, and we had him replace the fan in the upstairs bathroom. Then I added a few new lights in the upstairs bathroom and back hall, a new outlet for the washer/dryer (to code) and surge protector to the main box. He was very accommodating and helpful, doing a fantastic job with placement. All the work was done over about 8 working days. Again, I will use Stafford going forward. They are fantastic!

When Comcast updated to digital, and had us install those little boxes, my TV on the landing just wouldn't work right. I had Comcast come out and the service guy told me that he had checked, and the cable that was put in to that area when the house was built in 1980 was a smaller diameter cable, because that was all that was then needed, and the digital box required a larger cable. The space the cable had to go through was too small. I asked my handyman to fix it, and he told me that the way the house was constructed, it was almost impossible. Well, Stafford did it. It took two of them, and they had to be really creative, but, by the end of the day, the job was done. And it works like a charm. They also wired another room, and figured out how to "cat proof" my wiring in the landing exercise area. I would use them again for anything in a nano second. So professional, and so responsive.

Overall I was very happy with the service. We called on a Friday and they were able to come out Monday morning. I got a call about an hour early asking if it was OK to come over. Chuck came over and listened to my concerns about the many problems we had been having with appliances breaking down in our less than 3 year old house where everything was brand new. He checked the voltage outside along with the panel and stated that our voltage was on the high side. He suggested calling Xcel to monitor it, and also suggested a whole-home surge protection system to avoid future damage from spikes. He was surprised this was not already present. Chuck also suggested several individual surge protectors for high-ticket items. He also checked our grounding wire, which he found was not functioning properly, and was able to reinstall it so that it worked. I kind of knew the going rate for these surge protectors so I knew this wasn't going to be cheap, but was pretty desperate for a solution since we'd been around the block many times with our builder's subcontractors without a satisfactory solution. I didn't ask, but he also didn't offer up an estimate for everything he was going to install. That would be my only critique/suggestion is if you want to know what it's going to cost, ask up front. I wasn't surprised by the total price so it was no big deal to me, but he could have given me a proactive ballpark cost, just to be sure my expectations were aligned. But as I said, I didn't ask and was very happy with the service overall and would definitely recommend.

We were very surprised that the job was done with such profesionalism as to leave the area with nothing out of order. The inspector who came out a few days later was really inperesed by how neat tverything was done.

Concerning the air conditioner work, I did not feel the costs were disclosed to me upfront. I received a higher bill than I originally thought. I called them and even showed a cheaper bid I received from a competitor. He said he would match the price because he wanted to ensure his customers are completely happy. He resolved the complaint and was willing to work with me. I am very happy with their service.

They did a really nice job. When I had problems with the breaker six months later they came out and looked at it. It was faulty breaker and they switched it out for free. The reason I hired this company is they discussed an issue in my garage that I needed to deal with. They also gave potential suggestions. I really liked how they discussed with me potential problems before I hired them to preform the work.

Repaired what was broken and provided expert advice on a product to protect the house in the future.

We had just finished installing new kitchen cabinets and now needed to upgrade the kitchen lighting etc. I couldn't be happier with the results. Two electrical workers showed up on time, 7:30 am and they were very courteous. They worked quickly and never took a break. The work was completed by 1:30, which surprised me because I thought it would take until 4:00 or so. We will call this company again. They also install heating and air conditioning too and I'm sure our old system won't last much longer. This company is a keeper for us.

It was a smooth and easy process throughout. From the initial estimate through the actual installation, everything went perfectly. Both Kris, who gave me the initial estimate, and Steve, who performed the work, were professional, polite, clean, and punctual. I will definitely use Stafford's services in the future.

The Stafford team did a great job. I had an idea in mind on how it should be done but they came out, provided a much better solution and delivered on time and on budget. We even had to reschedule last minute and they were great about it.

When our furnace stopped working (no heat + minnesota + january = BAD), they responded within an hour. They solved the problem and performed a tune-up on our furnace.

The security light wasn't working properly. They came out and replaced the light, which has now lasted me 5 or 6 years now. They have done some interior electrical work for me as well. Their prices are reasonable and I will be using them again.

;Stafford came out to give us an estimate of the work within two days of our call, carefully explaining what was involved in completing the work. They set a date for Dec. 20, but to accomodate our need for the outdoor outlet for holiday decorating, they made an early separate trip to just do that job and did not charge for the extra trip. They arranged with us to come out two days later than originally scheduled for the rest of the work if that was OK for us, and that was fine. Two men arrived promptly to complete all the work. They covered their paths through the house with canvas drop cloths and when the work was completed, they cleaned up and left our house as clean as it was before they came. They seemed very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. After the holidays, a city electrical inspector came out and commented that "they did a great job - they sure knew what they were doing." Alright, mission accomplished and at a price we felt was reasonable relative to other electricians we have dealt with in earlier years.
