Excellent experience with Stafford H.S. The tech was actually 20 minutes early (he called to make sure it was OK, of course.) Quickly serviced the furnace and walked me through the findings, answered a few additional questions, and everything looks good! Good experience. They even worked hard to fit in my service before leaving for the holidays (although there was some confusion, in the end it all worked out fine.)

Great! He did not seem rushed, answered all my questions and helped me come up with a reasonable resolution.

I have Stafford perform annual maintenance on my AC and my boiler. During the most recent boiler tune up, it was clear I needed a new boiler installed and Stafford did a great job. After a few adjustments, it's working wonderfully. I also used Stafford for an electrical project on exterior outlets and that went really well too. I recommend Stafford for the service, and high level of workmanship.

I decided to hire a local company instead of this one. I did not even speak to this company on the phone or contact in any other way. I merely looked at information for this company on Angie's list. I have no idea why Angie's List keeps asking me for a review when I DID NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

They were able to get access to the wiring with a surprisingly small hole in the wall, and they even patched it for us. So, we were very happy with how things looked after the work was done. The work they did was great quality and has worked well for almost a year now. Also, they were prompt and the work was done pretty fast.

This was the second time we hired Stafford to put in recessed lighting. They are thorough professionals and quite good at what they do. Will hire them again if the need ever arose for any electrical work.

The repairmen were fast and efficient. The office was very helpful. The bill was fair. The only problem we had was with XCEL trying to get the power restored and Stafford's office helped with that as well. We would definitely call them again.

i need a bathroom fan installed and noticed that Stafford Home Service was offering this for $850 through Angie's List. Before I bought the deal, I called them because I had some questions. In fact, I called them twice and left voicemail messages for Peggy, telling her I was interested in having a fan installed. No one called me back. I don't think there is ever any excuse to not return a phone call. It must be nice to have so much business that you can just blow off prospective customers.

We had another person out to look at the outlet and they wanted $500 to fix the outlet and strongly suggested our replacing the existing panel for $3000. The guy from Stafford troubleshooted the issue and it only cost $300 and said our panel was fine; old, but fine. Saving us a lot of money.

Had bathroom ceiling fan installed. Great scheduling, good work, but had an issue with the price. Originally quoted us around $925 for complete install of fan and roof vent. This was the high end of the price. It was discovered that our roofers already put a vent in for the bathroom we had work in, so it wasn't necessary to cut a hole in the roof, put a vent in, and install flashing. Only discounted $50 for the additional work that didn't need to be done. Clearly, we feel ripped off for a straightforward job and won't use them again.

Two Stafford electricians came to my home to take care of the scheduled service. A representative had already come to my home to inspect and discuss the work to be done. A quote was provided within 24 hours. I was able to schedule for a day and time frame convenient to me. They called the night before to confirm and the primary electrician called about 30 minutes before arriving to give a friendly "heads up" ETA. They were very professional and courteous. Wore disposable booties to avoid tracking anything in my home. They had to deal with a number of obstructions in this older home but thought it through and implemented a game plan that avoided any damage or alterations to the visible surfaces along the path. They were efficient and effective. The end result was exactly as I had hoped for. They even were very concerned about leaving no mess behind. They cleaned wherever they worked. You couldn't tell anyone had just spent 3 hours working in my home when they left. The price was exactly what the quote said. No surprises! Very clean, professional, efficient and came through at the quoted price. I plan to use them again when I need any electrical work done.

Superb. Terrific. Highly competent. They did exactly what they said they would do. They did it well and quickly. They explained various options. They also honored the $25 Angie's list discount coupon. I strongly recommend these folks. I was hesitant to call them because they look like a large company given more than 500 reviews. But they deserve an A+

We needed a new electrical line from our electrical panel to the opposite end of the house for a 50 amp kiln. Since there were no open circuits on our panel to do this, we needed a sub-panel plus the new line and a special outlet. I received three bids from different companies. Our first bid came from an Angie’s list company that recommended a solution that turned out to be against local code. The other two companies had similar proposals for the work that followed local code. Of the two, the Stafford representative looked at the situation more carefully and did a better job of explaining what needed to be done. He was on time for the appointment and was professional in the way he conducted the bid, sending us a written copy shortly after. The amount for the two bids was about the same. The work was done by an electrician named Dave. Before doing any work, he walked through the house with me to check on details for the installation. He took note of my concerns about damaging certain things along the wiring route and did an excellent job of installing the electrical line. He did the work efficiently and neatly. Some contractors do things in a way that looks jury-rigged. One doesn’t have to be a professional to recognize work that has been slapped together. Stafford, in contrast, did a good job with everything. The sub-panel, electrical line, wall conduit, and outlet all look professionally done. Most importantly, everything works—including some circuits that had to be moved around in the main panel to accommodate the sub-panel. It was a relief to find a company that can do the job right the first time. Stafford also has a friendly and attentive receptionist who did the scheduling. Perhaps I am a bit old-fashioned, but I really like working with companies who have someone to speak with during working hours—especially someone who can get the necessary information down quickly and accurately. The same person also contacted us after the work to help schedule the local inspector. If you have ever tried working with city inspectors, you know what a valuable service Stafford offers in this regard. It can take days to talk with people in city government. All in all, I enjoyed working with Stafford and will call them for future electrical work.

Excellent, installer was a seasoned professional, he replaced a worn overheat light at no extra charge

The electrician that came to the house, and the apprentice who helped, were both excellent. Easy to talk to, and the services performed were done cleanly and in an efficient manner. I had a couple of issues with the cost of the work, the specific issues are not pertinent. The response to those issues, however, are pertinent, and was professional and impressive compared to other companies I have encountered in the past.

Our 19 year old furnace was giving us trouble and we knew it was time to have it replaced. We received bids from two companies from Angie's list and besides the price being a lot better we felt more comfortable with the Stafford agent that assisted us (Jason). The only downside is that we had to wait almost a month to have the service done. But we don't regret it. The new furnace and wifi thermostats work wonderfully. What a difference! They also cleaned the air ducts. Thanks for a great service!

I called them to get a quote, they were very professional and followed up on the job. I changed my mind on several things and they were very responsive offering different options. Even on the day of the work, they figured out ways to save me money.
