+ -1 moreExcellent service.. Called in the AM - Phone rep was polite and couteous. Time was set for early afternoon. Service Tech arrived in early AM - Courteous, polite, and professional Problem was fixed within 1 hour. Cost was reasonable and well explained. This is the third time I have used Stafford for various projects. You may find someone cheaper but I doubt you will find anybody better. I have also requested a proposal to replace my 25 year old central air unit. The technician checked everything out and I am awating the proposal. Stafford is high on my list of contractors that I would trust to install a new unit.

+ -1 moreI called for a radiator that wasn't filling and ended up needing a gas valve as the CO levels were too high. The service person made sure things worked and were safe for me during the week we had to wait for the part to come in. They were able to schedule another visit promptly and around my schedule. Their service person also gave me a refresher tutorial about how to adjust the pressure in my boiler and made notes for me to follow--that was most appreciated!

It took four people to complete the job in total from the initial consultation until the finished job, and it took just one day. What did I think they did really well? Just the assessment of what the problem was and trying to find ways to troubleshoot to see if it could be solved by a lesser fee. And then when they came to do the work it was just done very well, very clean, very professional

My concern is that they did not catch a lot of things that were wrong with the furnace and then caused us problems down the road. A couple months after the tune-up the furnace stopped igniting entirely. We later found out about some other issues after having another contractor come out and evaluate the system.

They do what they say they're going to do, they're always on time, and they're one of the most professional organizations I've ever worked with. + -1 moreWe had a really good experience with them. We have an older furnace in our house. We thought the entire furnace was going to have to be replaced. The man who came and helped us out, looked at it and said no. He very well could've told us that and we would've had to buy a new one. He didn't take advantage of us. He was willing to help us repair what needed to be repaired. He gave us recommendations on what to do to keep it safely working for the next few years and extend it's lifespan.

I called and discussed the project and they said they would be happy to come out and do an estimate for free, but gave me a ballpark estimate and I just asked if they could just schedule the install. They were fine with that and I got on the schedule for the following week. They gave me a time window of 7-8:00 AM and the tech arrived early in the window. He was very courteous, explained the project, discussed options, and we chose a Panasonic 0.3 Sone fan that he had in his own home. He put on booties and covered the site with drop cloths and quickly and efficiently did the work. It took around an hour total and the fan is perfect in every way: it is quiet, cosmetically it's a perfect installation, and moves a lot of air. He took the old fan away and cleaned everything up. They charged about $400 for the fan and installation (it is a high end model) but I also had to pay a $127 fee for the permit and inspection my municipality requires (that's out of Stafford's control). I was thrilled by the prompt and efficient, friendly service and will definitely call Stafford again. A GREAT experience in every way.
