Description of Work: After repeated calls and being told they where two weeks out and never hearing from them again I called another contractor who said I didn't need anything done and he couldn't understand why I was told I did. I would not trust Snap Construction again.

Description of Work: Snapp worked very hard with our insurance company to get us some money for hail damage, they were the only company, of the 4 that I get estimates from to suggest hail damage. We were very please with the men from Snapp that we worked with. They were 2 guys short on the project the first day so it took two days, which was OK with us. Description of Work: They never did schedule an appointment to provide the roof maintenance service. Was made to feel that this service was an afterthought and would only be scheduled on an evening or weekend since this was not "real" work. Not responsive and never did perform the prepaid roof maintenance package. | |I can provide the messages sent via the Angie's List My Messages section to show the dates and specific content of our correspondences if this will help. | |I believe I was trying to be more than accommodating to their potential scheduling issues (lots of heavy snow and ice dams last winter) but do not feel that they have tried to accommodate me since they had larger jobs to keep then busy. At this point would just like my money refunded since I do not trust them to inspect or work on my roof now.

Description of Work: The services provided were professional, and the person who came to do the roof inspection was prompt and courteous. It did take a bit of time to get the appointment, but I suppose it was the busy season. There was one bit of follow up that needed taking care of, and that did take some time to get arranged as well, but the work that they did I had no complaints.

Description of Work: I purchased the coupon over 5 mo. ago in March. I was assigned to someone named Mike, who made and canceled multiple appts., in one case just didn't show, etc. Finally I spoke with a prod. mgr. named Dan, who admitted they'd had problems with Mike. We also discussed the height of my house, pitch of my roof, and age of my roof, and Dan advised me it would be better for me to just get a refund, which he said Snap would fully support.

Description of Work: I bought a deal coupon for a roof inspection. The person who came out didn't have a ladder tall enough to get to the peak where I needed some flashing replaced. He did inspect one corner of the roof where we had a known problem and indicated what was wrong and what would be needed to fix it. He was going to send me a recommendation of a soffit gutter company but did not. I sent a note and made a call asking for the referral and did not get anything in return. The coupon was for a whole roof inspection which I did not get at all. Perhaps miss communication on my part as well. I don't know what happened.

Description of Work: Helped find leak in roof. Filled in some areas. Leaked next day, called them, they never came back out. The deal was they would do some basic maint. He walked the roof and said everything looked fine. He did not do anything in regards to maint. What did I pay for?

Description of Work: They checkout out an extra attic space in my garage, in additional to the original one. They didn't try to sell me additional services.

Description of Work: They replaced our roof, replaced siding on two sides of our house, and installed a new patio door. They helped us work with the insurance company and were very helpful at matching our exact siding. It took a long time to get the work done, however that was due to the number of homes in our area needing work (major hail storm) as well as the weather at times of installation.

Description of Work: Contacted company multiple times. Spoke with them twice and they noted that they were very busy and would contact me at a later date.

Description of Work: Did an insulation and ventilation inspection. Was very informative and gave me a good idea of what I can do to prevent ice dams like I had last winter. I now have a much better idea of how the whole house works together as a system. I will certainly getting what they recommended done prior to winter.

Description of Work: Had estimate done June 2013 for exterior house painting, gutters replacement, chimney cement work/repair. Was told work was to start with in the month. Had estimator come back to quote additional work on the front steps and wrote a check to a separate company. After no contact from Snap for over a month I contacted Snap and asked for the estimator, Snap had no idea where he was, nor any idea I had written a check for extra work. Weeks later a painter finally arrived and started to prep for painting by power washing the house. No attempt was made to contain debris so paint thrown into two neighbor's yards with no attempt to clean until I complained. Clean up took many calls and never completed. On day 2 of paint prep, painter's helper was dropped off to finish prep work and was forgotten to be picked up by the painter so I had to take the person home. Paint prep was incomplete. Nothing more than power washing was done. Painting took weeks to complete. Paint on shutters started pealing within months. Gutters were removed by painter and left sitting in my backyard for weeks. Gutters finally installed weeks later. Old gutter hangers were just cut and not removed leaving some shingles raised and direct access to under the shingles for water to leak into the roof and walls. It did causing damage to internal walls. Additionally water damaged fascia was to be replaced before gutters were installed, gutters installed over rotten woodwork. Cement work on chimney started and completed on a Saturday morning around 8am with the workers loudly throwing/assembling equipment waking neighbors. Once work was completed no cleanup was done. Fist size pieces of cement were left in yard and found in gutters. Worker cleaned their tools in the front yard and left their debris without any attempt to remove. Months later snap sent a bill for final payment, when I told them I thought they just walked away from this disaster and I had no intention of paying. Weeks later after I made calls to them another group of subcontractors came out and inspected the work. They seemed surprised with the mistakes that were made and or not done. I received an email stating what was to be done to fix these problems and that is the last contact from Snap that was made. Worst experience ever with a company!

The company responded right away and asked me to choose three dates to make an appointment for them to come to my home to do the attic inspection. I gave them three dates that would work for me and I never heard from them again. It seems a bit unprofessional to accept the money for the deal and then not follow through. A phone call to me with an explanation for not following through would have been nice. I would not hire them for any reason.

Description of Work: Fixed a leak in the roof after having ice damage a month before. We had another roof guy try to stop the leek, but after 3 attempts, we decided to call Snap. In 1 hour, he found the leak and plugged it, no issues since then.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for $299 for an Unlimited Winterization Home Package. They did a good job.

Description of Work: The company was exceptionally accommodating. They had a lot of calls due to special offer, however when I mentioned my hubby was concerned because the roof was leaking, our appointment date was changed from 6 weeks to the next day!! Fixed temporarily until full repair to be made next month.

Description of Work: Replaced two windows, 20+ screens, and gutters from hail damage. Very responsive, worked helpfully with our insurance company, and quality of work was great. our primary contact was always available for questions.

Description of Work: I purchased a Angie's Big deal to assess insulation in our home. It was found that the insulation was adequate, but it was suggested that whirlybirds be installed instead of the vents that were previously installed. A thorough explanation of the ventilation in my attic, including a possible cause for ice dams, was explained. The reason I was more impressed with Jim and SNAP was because he actually took the time to assess all of the possible ventilation issues that might be occurring in the attic. I was impressed that he took the time to notice the gable ventilation that might be a source of non-moving air in the attic. | |The communication with Jim was excellent, I have to use email during my normal business hours and he was right on top of it. The times that I did contact him by phone I had a response within a few hours. | |The work was done quickly, in one day. I reviewed the installations and was especially impressed with the work done on my gable vents. | |It was not preferred that we use a credit card to pay for the work, but we did push for it since we were about to leave on a trip overseas and it was just easier for us. And of course, the credit card that we used did not allow large 1 day transactions, so they unfortunately didn't get paid. Despite this, Jim and the rest of the SNAP staff were still congenial about the matter and I resolved it by writing a check when I arrived back in the US. | |I would recommend SNAP to anybody. The quality of the work was apparent and I always appreciate a good explanation of the issues. Jim was knowledgeable, communicative, and was also flexible with our schedule. | |
