Description of Work: Snap was really helpful and did a great job on my roof. I am a first time homeowner and they walked me through everything I needed to know about working with my Insurance company to file a claim (my roof had hail damage), getting a good 0% loan, and helped me right up to the day the roof went on and after. I love my roof and would recommend people in MN ask to work with Dan, who is professional, helpful, and kind.

Description of Work: In August 2013 our neighborhood was demolished by hail then inundated by contractors offering siding and roofing services; one of these was Snap. The rep was personable with a professional appearance, the company checked out legit and the bid was good - we chose Snap to replace our roof and several damaged windows. Snap did a tear-off and new roof. Two years later we had them back to repair part of it. After the roof we focused on the windows. For four low-end window, the Snap rep gave us a bid equal to our insurance settlement. Our settlement was sufficient to replace all 10 damaged windows with high quality windows. When this was pointed out (what the heck?!) the rep didn't blink. When we requested higher quality window samples for our job, he brought samples of much lower quality (i.e. cheaper) than what we requested. Repeatedly. We terminated our relationship with Snap.

Description of Work: Window installation. The experience was horrible. They sent out a crew that were not their employees who did the worst installation imaginable. The exterior trim was literally falling off the house from a slight breeze within 24 hours. After complaining they finally sent out a different crew (still not their employees) to basically re-do the job. Because it went so bad the first time I felt I had no choice but to take off work to stay home and babysit the crew to make sure the job was done properly the second time.

Description of Work: Service provider was a 'no show' for the first meeting when he was to assess cost & give me an estimate. He did show up for the second appointment, then sent me an estimate, but his price was far above my budget.

Description of Work: They workers arrived around 630a on Monday, a day earlier than scheduled, forcing me to cancel a lunch I had scheduled at my home that day. Since they were a day early, when the truck with the supplies arrived around 6am the neighbors cars were in the way and the shingles, etc. had to be placed on the lawn rather than where the driver wanted them. The dumpster had been ordered for the correct day, Tuesday, so wasn't there for them on Monday. It appeared later that day. I was not able to clarify it was the wrong day until around 10a when a crew chief arrived. The workers were excellent workers, working long days. Once the tear off was done, we found it was necessary to replace the decking, which I had thought may be a problem, since the house is over 100 years old. After the roof was completed I had to call twice to have them return to pick up some cardboard and supplies they left in the back yard, although the actual clean up was pretty good. Their billing was odd..I think I just fell through the cracks somehow, which surprised me since they have such a high rating on Angie's List.

Description of Work: Snap replaced the roof and added insulation in the attic. We were very satisfied with the quality and timeliness of the work. We had one small problem which was corrected quickly by the project manager. We would use them again.

Description of Work: The site foreman and workers were excellent; however the reason for my low rating (B) is the manner in which the salesman handled the sale. He was way off in terms of what was needed. The site foreman explained that what was in the original contract was not what I needed and there were items I did need that were not in the original proposal. I would have appreciated an acknowledgement from both the sales rep and the owner that the original proposal was pretty much off-base. I want to thank the site foreman for the time he spent explaining why I didn't need what the sales rep had proposed. I thought the workers were excellent and I want to say that the individual who did the drywall repair did an excellent job. Hopefully the company has dealt with the sales rep I had and if that is so I would hardily recommend this company.

Description of Work: I bought the Snap Construction Big Deal for $89 for a Comprehensive Home Energy Audit, but I misunderstood what was needed in our home. A representative came out and told me I should ask you for a refund of my $89 since what I really need is an evaluation of the exterior of our townhome, not a home energy audit. We were impressed by his honesty and would definitely use Snap if the need arises.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $49 for an attic inspection, plus an insulation and ventilation analysis. The work was not performed - we had so much trouble getting the guy to come out - he didn't show the first time and then was very late the next time. We ended up not using him - he was actually kind of insulting towards us. We went with someone else that we had used in the past and were very happy.

Description of Work: Brian from Snap construction came out to my home as I had requested a home energy audit to determine why there was leaking around windows and outside of siding. He was able to determine the problem without doing energy audit and did not charge me for coming out. He told me to call Angies List and tell them there was no charge. Brian did give an estimate to add insulation and air seal various areas in attic. Signed contract with him today to do necessary improvements in attic.

Description of Work: The gentleman was friendly and professional but we basically paid $29 for a sales call. I wish there was a maybe answer on the question if we'd use the provider in the future... Because I honestly am not sure? I would want to coordinate with other work

Description of Work: Snap sealed and blew in insulation into our attic. Their customer service was very professional and friendly. They came when they said they would and the entire job only took a few hours. Overall, we're satisfied with the work they did and their service.
