Description of Work: Installed insulation, they still need to install new vents once the snow melts off the roof.

Description of Work: They redid/corrected the insulation in my attic in an old 1 1/2 story house. This included removing insulation that was not properly installed, installing door gaskets on two doors, sealing, venting correctly, blowing insulation in, and providing an air loss test to see how well the insulation works. The gentlemen who came out to do the work were on time, very professional, and did a great job. It took them longer then planned and they stuck with it and made sure everything was right before they left. I thought the price was a bit high but got a $500 rebate for having the work done so made it reasonable. The office staff were hard to get a hold of and didn't respond to emails. It also took them a long time to come out and complete the air loss check (work done on 12/4, check done on February 5th) and I had to call and ask for it to be done. So the workers get an A, administration gets a C for an overall grade of B. I would use them again but go into it knowing I need to be proactive.

Description of Work: We took advantage of an Angie's list offer, and were very pleased with Snap Construction. They added insulation to our attic, gave us the Angie's credit, and also took care of submitting the papers for an energy efficiency rebate. The installers were efficient, and cleaned up extremely well after the work!

Description of Work: One year ago we utilized a "deal" from Angie's list to have our insulation checked and at that time discussed a problem we were having with condensation forming on an inside wall during the coldest months of the winter. Our insulation level turned out to be good so we decided to wait and see what would happen the following year. Again, condensation was noted. I called Snap Construction and the same individual returned to our home, checked the walls with an infrared tester, and found everything to okay. He suggested we were keeping the humidity level too high in the winter and to lower the amount of humidity in the home during the winter months. He was absolutely correct! No more problems. He did not charge us for his inspection or advice. Snap Construction certainly earned our trust and we would use them again. Thanks, Snap!!! |

Description of Work: They repaired multiple missing shingles from our roof. Although they did need to bring a crew in, which added to the original cost, they were so professional and NEAT that I feel that it was more than worth it. Strongly recommend!

Description of Work: Had to call minimum 3 times to set up a date for him to look at the job. I've made minimum 4 calls to receive the quote, with promises we would receive it the next day--still have not received it. Now Angie's List has our $99 for some future purchase. Not happy.

Description of Work: SNAP has provided rubber and asphalt roofing for our 100 properties for 3 years. There labor, craftsmanship and warranties make it easy to choose them every time they bid. They really know what they are doing and bend backwards to make sure we are safe, to code and satisfied.

Description of Work: Our 1960's two story home always felt chilly on the 2nd floor. Since Centerpoint Energy was offering insulation rebates we called Snap Construction to check how much was in the attic. We set an appointment and they came in a few days and found we only had a few inches of insulation and had to seal around electrical, etc. They completed the job a week later. It took roughly 3 hours. They were neat and clean, wore booties over shoes, professional when explaining procedures and showed me photos of the attic of what they did. They also tested out home before and after for air sealing. I really notice the difference already in the temperature. Their office is handling all the paperwork on the rebate too. Great job guys! I'd use them again in the future!

Description of Work: The repair was areas around the chimney and deck support worn shingles separated and left gaps. Wasn't home during repair appears to have gone ok

Description of Work: I had previous ice dam remediation done, was worried it needed updating. This gentleman came, looked, and said that everything was still fine. He even called back to suggest I ask Angie's list for a refund since he couldn't help me currently.

Description of Work: After 3 months of visits(and 3 missed appointments),many phone calls, Snap has finally said they cannot do the job. They only have a 40 ft ladder and altho they said they were locating their roofer colleague with a longer ladder, he too is unable to procure one. Is this not information they should have had in the first one or two weeks? Now it's winter so how can I get a decent roof inspection from someone else? I want a refund.

Description of Work: Got an estimate for air sealing and insulation of attic. Decided to get a second opinion from a highly-rated company on Angie's List. The owner of the other company came to our house and did a free inspection for an estimate (regretting purchasing the $49 Angie's List inspection "deal" from Snap) The second company has way more experience and actually was asked by Snap if they had anyone they could use as subcontractors. Well, they don't, because the owner and one other employee do all of the work themselves. And, the quote was half of what Snap's quote was. Needless to say I'm not going to pay double for work done by subcontractors with way less experience.
