Very well. They identified what was needed, and found an access hatch to the area that we were unaware of, so no additional access needed to be built in when we were replacing the ceiling. Very pleased with them.

It went AMAZING!!! Nothing so much as a hiccup. Matt was amazing with his follow through and keeping us up to date with all the installations. I would recommend them and also refer them to whomever needed a new roof.

easy to schedule, spoke with Brian who also came to the house. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and he explained everything clearly as he went along. what was even more impressive is that I paid $29 for an energy audit on an angie's list deal, and the house came up as super efficient and no need for adding insulation. Of course, companies don't make money on the up front inspection and it would have been easy/common to rush to finish the job after the circulation test shows ~3 cycles per hour. Brian was super friendly and thorough even after it was apparent I wouldn't be spending more money. He pointed out a few spots where I can make minor fixes and provided value well above the price of the service.

I do construction management for a living and I can confidently say that I would highly recommend Snap construction for your next residential project. I was mostly impressed with the communication and professionalism that the individuals had. I actually went through the process of bidding out 3 different contractors for my attic insulation. While I will admit that snap was not the lowest bid (marginal difference), they were by far the most complete and comprehensive bid I saw. I knew what I was paying for and what I would get out of it. That is what you have to be careful of, contractors give you a vague scope at a low price, then jack up their rates on "changes". Not the case with Snap. Another really nice thing was that they fill out the rebate paperwork so all I had to do was sign on the line and send it it. Very simple and they actually maximized the rebate I received, something the other contractors didn't offer. Field guys were extremely nice and professional. Both guys introduced themselves and told me what they were going to do and what they needed from me. Long story short, give them a fair shot and have them quote your next project. Check their bid against competition and I'm confident in the end you will follow in the same path I did and choose Snap construction. The knowledge and upfront honesty is what I look for in my contractors both for work and my personal house. I will most certainly be using Snap in the future and hope you choose to also.

It went very well. They came and set up. They covered their work area and cleaned up well after they were done. They were professional and communicated well about the work being done.

After inquiring on a consultation on Friday, Snap sent Mike out to our house on Tuesday. Mike ran scans through out the first and second stories of our house along with climbing into the attic. Having prior bad experiences on house repairs I feared the worse, however Mike was up front and honest on what I could do to save time/cost and what should be repaired by a professional. Ended up spending a fifth of what I anticipated thankfully to fix the water issue.

From beginning to end, Snap was really snappy! They were responsive, resonable and they helped me navigate the convoluted insurance process. Once the work was scheduled, they were on-time, amazingly fast and incredibly respectful of the rest of my property (including my landscaping and deck plants). They cleaned up every spec of debris and the new roof looked great! I don't know that I could have asked for a better process.

(Jump to the end for the rating) I experienced minor hailstorm damage last year and my neighbors suggested I work with their roofer to see if I experienced damage. Their roofer said there was some damage and suggested to take out an insurance claim with my insurance company, which is Farmers. Farmers were going to only cover approximately half my roof. I learned a little bit more about the storm chasers and I decided not to sign with them although their pricing was fair. I went with one other referral who was also shady, talked to Roofs R Us and Snap Construction. I went with Snap Construction because they answered my phone calls, were prompt, and relatively up front. Even though Roofs R Us provided a better offer compared to Snap Construction, Roofs R Us was late to their appointment with me by over an hour. I contacted the office and they didn't know when the person who arrive to my place while I waited. Once I received a solid bid and offered a relatively good deal on more expensive shingle TruDefinition Duration Storm by Owen Corning but Snap Construction essentially matched it. The more I learned about the Duration Storm shingle, the more I liked because they make it sound dead simple to install. We also postponed construction until the following year and I placed $1,000 initial deposit. When Spring came, I paid $4,000 to pay for half of the cost, a few weeks later, the crew arrived on time and finished the job in one day. They cleaned up their mess and had no issues with their installation. Once the second check came from Farmers, I paid off the remaining half in June. We experienced several storms so far this summer and there appears to be no leaks. The new shingles also help isolate noise upstairs from wind and storms easily. I gave them a C overall. They respond quickly and the quality was great. Unfortunately, their initial bid was extremely overpriced. I was given a BS answer on how it does not apply to insurance claims yet other providers are more than willing to provide Angie's List Buy it Now deals. When they billed my insurance for the line items due to the cost of everything, they double charged dumpster removal. Matt claims it is a separate cost but the insurance company saw it differently. I am stuck with an unjustified cost of about $500. When I came in to pay the remaining balance, the remaining balance was incorrectly calculated by neglecting my initial $1,000 deposit the previous year. It was resolved quickly when I realized it was too high but thankfully I caught it before I finished writing the check. If you go with Snap Construction, make sure Matt provides a detailed itemized list to justify their price and then check with your insurance company if they will cover the items before you agree with Snap Construction. If there is an error, I imagine you will have it removed from the estimate before you agree taking on the cost of anything the insurance decides not to cover. Do not expect any sort of Angie's List member's discount and verify they charged you properly. They will overcharge you if you are not diligent. Update - 09/26/2016 I did not intend to write a follow up but I wanted to dispute the cost savings mentioned by the contractor. A competitor gave me an estimate for the cheapest shingle at $7,500 and Snap Construction did not note in their initial estimate the type of shingle at $12,000. I believe at the time it was the same type of shingle that was on my roof. That would place that type of shingle at $7,500. The most expensive shingle from a competitor was $9,980. As I liked Snap Construction's responsiveness, I asked them to match the most expensive shingle at $10,000 and they agreed. The larger portion of my cost savings came from me. Snap construction's claim of saving me money on their own behalf came at approximately 2%. When comparing the two initial estimates of the cheapest shingle, Snap Construction was 62.5% more expensive. If each of these incidences dealing with money were isolated incidences, I would have written it off. After the $1,000 billing miscalculation, I cannot ignore their pricing and accounting practices and it should be known to Angie's List members. I am glad I caught the mistake early as I do not want to experience waiting for a $1,000 check to arrive in the mail from them. From beginning of communication and up to the final bill, I appreciated Snap Construction's responsiveness. I cannot in good conscience of letting other Angie's List members getting competing offers because mine resulted in a 62.5% price difference from a well reviewed competitor.

My 1992 roof suffered wind damage in 2015. I knew some shingles went missing on one section of the roof but I thought the underlayment still looked good. Boy was I wrong! Late autumn rains started and my upstairs started to leak. I contacted SNAP Construction because I had seen they re-roofed a house in the next block and the job looked really good. Matt Thomes contacted me the same day I called and came out the next day to have a look. He had someone come over and do an emergency repair on the affected area before the next rain. He told me the roofing repair job might be covered by insurance.--I checked and it was. Matt was fantastic with my insurance company and eventually got them to agree to having half of the roof being redone. My house is an old victorian consisting of four steep gables so this was the entire east side of the house (4 of the 8 angles). Since the emergency repair was holding , we decided to wait until spring to do the re-roofing when the temperature was warm enough. His crew came and removed the old shingles, put on plywood (which my roof had never had put on before) the proper underlayment, matching shingles and new roof vents and cleanup--all in one day. I never found one nail in the yard or outside the dumpster. They were impressively organized. Last, but not least, Matt never once pressured or brought up redoing the other half of the roof. Being a woman, I really appreciated that. He was friendly, courteous, and still completely professional. Any and all messages to him throughout this project were returned promptly. Even though the project grew from the original one angle of the roof to four angles, he assured me I would only need to pay my insurance deductible. No hidden costs whatever.

We decided to get an energy efficiency audit because we had two different window replacement bids that were astronomical. We reached out to Snap Construction about this and Brian actually came to the house twice to conduct the energy audit because the first time the temperature on the inside and outside of the house was pretty similar. Both times he came out he explained what he was doing and walked through the whole house with me. He looked at every window, the insulation, the can lights in the ceiling, and everything. I appreciated his candor and that he was trying to help instead of focusing on selling us something. He gave us some advice and tips about how to move forward to make our house more energy efficient (e.g. insulation around the lights in the ceiling, what to look for to see if our windows need replacing in the future, good insulation in the ceiling, etc.). There was no pushy sales pitch. Instead he just mentioned to call when we need something. At the end of the audit Brian said, "clearly we don't need to talk about replacing your windows". We will definitely be using them again!
