Siwek Lumber and Millwork, Inc.

Siwek is a wonderful resource. Everyone I encountered there was very helpful. I've already recommended them liberally amongst my friends who are also doing work on their old houses and look forward to getting up there again for my next project.

My mom and I contracted with Siwek Lumber to make all the replacement woodwork and doors for her 1904 home. Everything was made to match the original samples which had come out of the house. Tom Swiek worked with us for over a year sending out people and even coming out to house and making sure that things were right. I could not have found a better person or company to work with. Most of the work was just trusting that tom would deliver on what was promised. some things like the doors took longer then they should have, but the door were very ornate and did take a lot of workmanship and care to get it right. anything that was not right they fixed and if it could not be fixed they did it over. Thank you Tom Siwek and all the people that work at Siwek Lumber for the awesome service and great doors, windows and woodwork.

I emailed and called several times to get a price quote and delivery time for lumber I needed for a porch remodel. I was told they are very busy, basically mocked because I did not know exacts on material (homeowner not a contractor) and I was told I would be given a return call more than once and never was called. My contractor called and he too was told they would get back to me with a quote and dates. Nothing!! I would never recommend them.

I have a 1925 house, with original, wooden European casement windows. There was water-damaged wood on some of the casement windows. The estimates to replace the whole window were incredibly high and a changing the whole window would have had a negative impact on the appearance of my home. Siwek was able to build a replacement wooden casement panel, based on the damaged original window panel. Siwek produced 4 or 5 panels for me. Their work was excellent. The casement window panels looked great and the price was reasonable, and I preserved the look of my 1925 home. Siwek didn't offer installation services. I used a handyman who works well with wood to do the installation.

I brought in the window frames for new screens, and the next day they were finished.

THEY WERE MADE SO I COULD HAVE THE WOOD INSIDE. THE OUTSIDE IS VINYL. THE WORKMANSHIP WAS FINE. THE PAINTING AND VARNISHING WAS DELAYED THOUGH. INSTALLATION WAS ALSO FINE.
