Signature Electric & Signature Landscape Lighting

Excellent. I especially like that Signature Electric thinks "outside the box". They always look for ways to prevent another call for a similar problem. They can be trusted.

They were unresponsive, then they seemed not to be interested. They were busy, and said they would get back and never did.

It was awesome!!! I have an older home in Minneapolis so adding outlets is never fun due to plaster walls & a cramped attic. Scott came in & ran a new cable line from one room, up into the attic & down into the next room. They finished the work faster then expected & my estimate actually came in lower. Very happy with the outlet & will definitely call Scott again.

When I called, I was able to get someone to come out and get an estimate on the job. I explained we are considering selling our home within two years and wanted to bring our 1960 home up to code. We've had some problems with breakers shutting off when using a blow dryer and then having to wait a few hours to get power back to the areas the breaker was connected to. We believe the panel that we had was the original so it needed to be updated to todays electrical demands. They looked to see what other areas needed to be brought up to code and submitted a detailed proposal outlining the job and the price for each item. After getting 3 quotes I went with Signature because of the thorough check for what needed to be brought up to code, the detailed proposal and their price which was in the middle of the 3 quotes. Scheduling the job was quick and thorough in letting me know about the permits and how the inspection would take place. It was a day and one-half job. The crew was one time, walked through with me what they were going to do and then worked in a timely manner. They were respectful of our property, cleaning up after themselves. The job passed inspection and the inspector commented that they are a good company in that they do good work.

Very punctual and professional, I'm very pleased with the service provided by Signature Electric and will definitely contact them again for future projects.

Chris was on time. I was gone when he left later that day, but I got to say the job was really well done. We're looking to buy another house, and our city requires the service connection to be at a certain height (I forget how much). Our service connection was not code and I knew eventually when I sold my home we would have to deal with getting it newly installed. But while I looked for another home in the area I noticed the service connections of other homes looked pretty shoddy. Some were up to code but the electricians never even bothered to replace the old piping. Just sloppy work. But I was very impressed with Chris's work. Not only was it code, it was just very professionally done. The old piping was gone and a sleek new one was in its place. And there's something I noticed when I put my home up for sale in the past: If something in your house has been replaced or repaired, buyers want it to look like a professional did it. I've hired Signature Electric in the past for all my electrical needs. I don't even shop around anymore.ison

The response to my inquiry was very fast. The electrician was very polite, made sure drop clothes were used when needed. He explained everything clearly. Very happy with the result and I will use them again.

The crew was very quick, professional, and informative. They showed up on time. They made sure to clean up the area upon completion of the job and showed the updates that were completed. You can hardly tell a trench was dug through the backyard. I would highly recommend Scott and his team in the future!

Chris showed up on time. Originally, it was only to install one light fixture in the kitchen ceiling. When he arrived, I asked if he could squeeze two more. No problem. He efficient and did his work quickly. Picked up all materials when done. Would definitely use them again

They were great. The first phase took two days. Was very loud and messy work but they left the place looking great. Second time out was to run the cable and mount the tv. They are my go-to electricians now.

They arrived early in morning fifteen minutes prior to stated time ready to get going on the job. They were very friendly and asked what it was that needed to be done. We have all hardwood floors in pour home and getting cords to each of the locations would be very difficult. But they went to work and found ways to get to the various locations using long line feeders and even in one case going up into the attic so a cord could be dropped to the correct location in the wall. They also replaced several outlets in the kitchen and were honest about the fact that not all outlets needed to be replaced. They were very neat about doing the work: cleaning up after they were done. To get to another furniture component they had to drill a hole in the lower level ceiling but covered it with a neat cap maintaining the ceilings appearance. When they were done, I asked if they could look at my stereo system to see if I made all the right connections. They gladly went over to the unit and got it working and did not charge me for this extra time. All in all they did an excellent job and I would most certainly use them again!!! Signature Electric was prompt, courteous and effective. We felt we were in good hands and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for good electrical work.

I purchased a small condo unit in Richfield and, to fully utilize space, I am creating a den/studio from what were two back-to-back closets. No electrical to the area, or to the larger area outside the closets, so Signature pulled a permit for the work, installed a new circuit breaker just for this area, and installed a new overhead light and switch, and 5 outlets - 3 in the "studio/den", and 2 outside the public wall. Existing sheetrock had to be cut to install the work, and I thought there would be holes to fill and patch when I got home. Nope! The installer had carefully cut rectangular access areas in the sheetrock, then re-installed them so it was all ready for me to tape and plaster! Any garbage was removed or put in the box the overhead light fixture came in. All tidy and nicely done. Not only that, but Scott was always very responsive to my questions, easily changed the date and time when I needed to, and they showed up exactly on time! I have used Signature before, will again, and recommend them highly!

If I am able to work outside of my timeframe I will call Signature back to do my work.

We had no electricity in our bathroom, so I was hoping to get someone right away, but we chose to wait for Signature Electric for 6 days, including weekend. Two guys came & took care of everything on our list with no muss & no fuss. Everyone was very professional from Scott who made the appointment to the guys who came and the woman who had to deal with a mistake we made on the check we gave.

Very impressed with the service. Scott returned my call on the same day and had availability for the following day. Michael arrived the next day at the arranged time, was very pleasant, and completed the work before noon. He left the room clean and the chandelier looks beautiful and works perfectly. What more could I ask for? I can't comment on the price, because this is the first electrical work I've needed. I will definitely call them again.

Signature gave me the lowest price of 3 providers. They arrived on time, performed the work and added a GFI in my kitchen for only $20. They were courteous, efficient and experts. They carefully labeled the breakers as per our scribbled list. I LOVE these guys! When the inspector from Minneapolis came the next day to check it out, he said, "Oh, yeah, they're a good company." And everything checked out, no problems. I would strongly recommend this company.

I had some 12V low voltage recessed can lights which were not working properly, and I called Signature to come look at them. Ryan was able to come out within a few days and look at them. He determined that there was too much heat up in the insulated boxes around the transformer which was cooking the transformers and noted that these types of low voltage lights have lots of issues. After talking to the owner Scott, we determined that switching out the low voltage cans for some 5 inch IC rated lights was the best course of action. Scott suggested trying some LED bulbs in the current lights which weren't defective yet first to see if that would reduce heat and solve the problem. However that didn't work. So I scheduled at time for them to come out and replace all the lights. Scott sent out two of his guys who crawled up in the attic and tore out the insulated boxes around the old lights and replaced all the old lights with new cans which involved cutting larger holes in the ceiling as the old lights were only 4 inch. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with Scott's and his team's responsiveness and professionalism and wouldn't hesitate to use him again. I found his pricing to be in line with other electricians that I trust in the area.

I was scheduled to install a new dishwasher today with the company I bought the appliance from, but when they arrived they told me that my current elctrical box was not up to code. They told me I needed to get an electrician to install a new outlet. The current dishwasher was hard wired into the electrical box without a plugin. I called Scott at Signature Electric because they had previously done some electrical work for our basement remodel. Scott was able to send one of his electricians (Ryan) out right away. Ryan arrived and installed the new box. Ryan was very courteous and did an excellent job. Now I am finally ready for the dishwasher to be installed.

We are very happy with Signature Electric. We hired them due to their experience with old house wiring (ours was built in 1926). Scot and his crew did a great job adding a new box in the basement and getting the bathroom wiring up to code. They installed a bathroom exhaust fan/heater unit, new lights and outlets and replaced old wiring wherever possible. Several weeks after the rough-in, we mistakenly cut an old knob-and-tube wire in the floor, and Scott promptly sent a guy out to fix it so we were able to continue the floor finish without delay. We recommend Signature highly to anyone with old house wiring issues.

I contacted Scott on Tuesday June 17th to ask to get a quote to get bathroom fans installed. We set up an appointment for Sunday (June 22nd) afternoon since he said he was going in the area. On June 21st at 9:19pm I get a text message stating ?Sunday will not work for me to stop out at noon. We will have to look at next week.? Which is unprofessional because it was at 9:19pm and he texted. The on Monday June 23th at 9:32am he texted again asking ?Is there a day and time that works this week for you?? I reply saying Thurs at 5:45pm or 6pm will work, he replies with ?Yes? On Tuesday June 24th at 2:47 pm he texts me to cancel again ?My Son?s baseball team won their tournament game last night and now they have a baseball dame this Thursday at 6pm. Can we do tomorrow or Sunday. I have nothing going on Sunday for sure. We could even do tomorrow morning as early as you need if you want. Sorry for the scheduling issue? I totally understand so I said ?Sunday around 6:30 or 7pm?? He replies with ?Yes. 6:30? The Sunday June 29th rolls around and I text him telling him I am running late so can I meet him at 7? He says ?Probably not. Sorry? So then I ask him how long would it take for them to do the inspection? And that he can go at 6:30 and ill just let the tenant let him in. He tells me it would take 5-10 mins. Then we leave it at that. I was actually able to get to the house at 6:30 and he didn?t show til 6:45. I meet this guy and asked him if he was Scott and he said No. This is an issue because he had said he would be free and instead he sends someone else. Then today on July 2nd, he sends me a text stating the following ?I?m gonna pass on your project. We are now booked out 5 weeks. FYI I figure your job would around $2000. Sorry we cannot be of help at this time? So basically all in all he was very unprofessional and didn?t even end up doing the job because he?s too booked. He didn?t even ask if the 5 weeks out would be ok. I will never do business with this company and would suggest others to do the same. This is the worst service i have ever gotten.

Outstanding! Electrician was on time. He completed the task quickly and correctly. The price was very reasonable. Will now be "my electrician"!

Scott and his crew were fantastic. They came on time, worked diligently, did exactly what was asked, finished in just a few hours, returned after Xcel connected to the pole to finish, and returned again to program the wireless lighting switches. They also cleaned up the work site after they were done. We couldn't have been happier with their work, their professionalism, their punctuality and their pride in their work.

They had all the right equipment and did an excellent job!
