Signature Electric & Signature Landscape Lighting

I did a search for ceiling fan coupons and Signature Electric & Signature Landscape Lighting had a $25 off Ceiling fan service call, so I sent them a message with three proposed dates as directed by Angie's List and explained my need. The following day I received this message: "I have to pass". As a customer, I am offended. A more detailed message (i.e. we're booked solid, only doing outdoor work, etc.) would be a more professional response. The callous reply seems to indicate that my business is not desired. That being said, I will never do business with them and have rated them as such. Response was fair but professionalism was lousy....

I've used Signature in the past for a number of things, and have always been very happy with their work. I this case, I'm about to commence a bathroom remodel which was going to require the addition of 2 circuits. As my existing (original, 40 year old) panel was full, it was time to upgrade the panel. I got an estimate from the remodeler's electrical contractor, but really wanted to use Signature again, so I called them for an estimate as well. Scott did a site survey, we agreed on a panel size and added work (rebonding the ground would be required, and as long as we were pulling wire along that path I opted to add a dedicated circuit for the freezer). Scott had me an estimate within the day (fair and competitive - not the cheapest, but appropriate for the work), and we were able to schedule within a week. Day of, the two electricians showed up exactly on time, fully prepared to get things done - no forgotten parts, no interruptions for other projects, just efficient and relaxed. Speaking as somebody who project manages very large jobs in my professional life, it was a joy to watch the guys work - and they do really quality, detail oriented work. Ran into a couple of minor issues in the existing panel (the previous homeowner had doubled up some circuits onto single breakers.......which is not to code and not good practice). The guys had arrived ready to cover things like that, so after a very brief conversation (they did a great job of keeping me informed as the went) we added the necessary breakers. Job was done well within the estimated time, for the original estimate - and they even cleaned up after themselves! Very happy with the work - will be calling them again (and again, and again!)

I'm completely satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of this company. This was an expensive job. I don't know completely for sure that Signature's price was the best I could have gotten, but after consulting with several companies, Signature was the only one that was unambiguously willing to tackle it. This job was clearly not your average electrician's idea of a good time, but they took the job and took the time to do it right. The ceiling looks great now. I actually did hire them again for a much more minor job more recently, and that went well also.

Troy came and evaluated the project. Alfred and Max came later and did the actual work. They arrived exactly on time, worked quietly and efficiently, and cleaned up before leaving. They were professional and pleasant. This is the third time we've used Signatire and will use them again.

This is the second time I've used this company for small electrical jobs in my home. Both experiences were great and I now consider them "my electricians." In this case, I had an old floor outlet for my freestanding range. I replaced the range (the old one was original to the house - 1980!) and the cavity in the back of the new range didn't accommodate the position of the floor outlet. Signature Electric came out and were able to move the outlet into the wall, allowing me to scoot the range back as far as possible. The electrician was punctual, curteous, and I felt completely comfortable working from home while he did his thing. He was sure to put down cloths to keep things clean and left no trace when he left (except, of course, for moving the outlet!). Moreover, Scott's cost estimate was $1 off of the actual amount I was charged. I'll absolutely use Signature Electric again!!!!

They arrived on-time and diagnosed a bad wall control. I chose to use the remote-only for now, they got my fan up and running again in just a couple minutes.

Signature electric was very easy to work with and execute the work as expected. Ryan, the electrician, is incredibly considerate and easy to work with. Scott and Ryan are very good at setting expectations, explaining the best way to do the work while taking my thoughts and ideas into consideration. This is the 4th or 5th time that I have worked with Signature Electric and will continue to use them in the future for all of my electrical work.

Scott is very professional and a pleasure to work with. He returned my initial phone call promptly and set a time to come give us an estimate. He completed the work on time and as we requested. Would happily do business with Scott again. Highly recommended.

We had bought some decorative hardware instead of a swag hook and he was angrily telling us that it wouldn't work (even though it would). He claimed he had been doing this for 20 years and angrily gestured and said he wasn't going to "sit and argue". Instead of calmly discussing what we wanted done, he became infuriated. Beware of this provider.

We're in the process of getting our house ready to sell, and this was one of the necessary projects. In addition we recently installed an automatic garage door and needed to add wiring to connect it to the lighting in the garage. The work was well done, and the workman took care to explain all the areas that needed GFI protectors (more areas than we were aware of!) He was very thorough in his work.

We had Signature Electric pull out all of the old knob & tube wiring last summer. We thought, at the time, that they did an OK job considering all of the circumstances. They put at least a dozen holes in the walls which we have had to patch, and we discovered that 2 of the outlets they re-wired did not have power going to them when we were planning some additional work. We brought this up at the time of scheduling...as well as during the quote appointment. Not only was there no apology, they were going to charge us full price to re-wire them again! After having several other service providers out to give quotes, it became apparent that Signature either just hurried through the job or did not know what they were doing. All 3 contractors agreed that the holes were not necessary! We also discovered that they left a dummy switch instead of taking the time to change out to a single switch... The provider who did the service had more reasonable rates...left no holes, and actually cleaned up after themselves!

I could not be more pleased! Signature Electric (SE), did a fantastic job. First, Scott came and estimated the job. It was and expensive job and he was more than understanding, if not kind, about the cost and burden on my bank account. He offered to do the job in parts, if I wanted. He told me it would cost between $7k and $12, with the range dependent on what they found as they began work. (This is fair: I've come to appreciate how difficult it is to rewire old houses.) I got other bids, some a little less expensive, but my gut said SE was the best value and that I could trust them. We scheduled a start date and an 8:00 am time. Chris and Steve arrived at the start date at 8:00 sharp. They arrived in new professional-looking service vehicles and had all the tools and parts necessary to complete the work. Chris and Steve could not have been more professional. I was perfectly comfortable leaving them in my home all day, while I went to work. There were some tough problems to solve as my house is obviously old and has a remarkably low roof-line, which meant working in the attic was difficult. I think many electricians would have taken the easy out and cut up my walls in all kinds of places. But Chris, especially, is a master, and they actually only needed to make one whole in the wall (I easily patched and painted it). I remain sincerely impressed with their creativity and craftsmanship. To be fair, I don't think electricians like re-wiring old houses: it's dirty, difficult, and unrewarding work. But SE's team did a superb job. When the work was done Scott contacted me for the inspection, which he scheduled around my schedule, with a 30-minute window. Best of all, the bill was $20 lower than the lower-end of SE's initial bid. (I'm not sure one should expect this. I got lucky with some stuff. My point is, SE could have milked the job a bit but they did not). I HIGHLY recommend Signature Electric for your electrical needs. Especially the removal of knob & tube wiring in old houses (Sorry, Chris, I know it's not fun, but you are "that good.").

Signature was right - this was a utility issue. They had it fixed within a couple hours and it saved me $s for a service call.

Signature was extremely punctual. Jason was the electrician he was extremely clean, polite, and educational. I would recommend Signature to anybody that is in need of an electrician.

There were recessed and conventional lights as well as a series of electrical and cable outlets The electricians did an excellent job.

A previous homeowner had done a lot of handyman wiring in a detached garage/workshop on a property I purchased. The switchboxes were a rats nest of wires. I'd had an electrician out on a special two hour deal and he barely got one switch (of four) wired before quitting. The guys from Signature arrived right on time spend an hour figuring where everything went and then 45 minutes fixing absolutely everything. All switches work, switch plates back on, clean, tidy - just a really great experience with some personable, knowledgeable guys. First rate all the way. He made me feel better by saying he's "seen worse." Hard to imagine. You can't do better than Signature.

These guys are awesome! It's so hard to find a business that actually cares and takes pride in their work! Scott went above and behind, moving their schedule around to accommodate ours. All their guys are extremely professional and a joy to work with. Pricing was better than fair. Thanks for the piece of mind, guys!

Mike was on time, knew what he was doing, & took care of this problem in a very timely fashion. He was courteous, knowledgeable, & also spent time answering our questions re other electrical matters in our house. Would not hesitate to use this company again.

Excellent company. I have had a lot of work done with Signature, and I have always had a great experience. A+
