Their bid was OK. We didnt hire them because they were not interested in antiquing the kitchen cabinets.

Todd returned our call quickly and came immediately to give an estimate. He said that he would be at our home at 8 am and on the stroke of 8 he was there. He gave me a quote immediately and stuck to it. He also gives a discount for Angie's List referrals, but you need to ask for it. There were several crew members who did the painting. All were very professional and precise. The paint job was beautiful. The estimate was for 5 days, but the work was done in 3 days because of good weather. They cleaned up as they went. All in all we are very happy with the entire crew and their work. I have already referred several friends and neighbors to this company. The cost made it affordable and made me plan on having them come back to do the main floor of our house.

Excellent experience. We hired Todd a few years ago to paint our staircase/hallway area and didn't hesitate to call him back. He's reliable, fair, and a pleasure to work with. His crew works hard. He was able to accommodate our construction schedule (which went faster than expected) starting the job the day after Thanksgiving with short notice. When the crew ran into difficulty with one part of the ceiling they ended up staying late to finish the job. Of note, we did feel compelled to get one other estimate (also from Angie's List) and that guy bid about twice Todd's estimate and was really dour, which made Todd's pleasant personality seem all the more refreshing.

Crew was on time, exceptional job, clean up was such that, other than having new colors on the wall, you wouldn't know they had been there. When we determined we wanted a different color for living room Todd was very cooperative in arranging for crew to come out a second time. Crew was polite and gracious.

Todd Shelton scheduled an appointment to provide me with a quote two days after I called, coming on a Saturday morning. He was prompt, and helpful, providing suggestions for the one room that I hadn't purchased paint for yet, and letting me know how they would go about re-doing my bathroom. The best part was that, because of Thanksgiving he had no job for the next week, so he offered to come out the following Monday and said it would be done by Wednesday. In actuality, he came out with four guys, started at 8:30, and was done by 4:15 the same day. The house was left spotless, and Todd called me at work to give me a full, enthusiastic report. Coming home that day was like coming to a new house, and I love my red bathroom!

Dan arrived promptly for the estimate. He told us how he would repair the ceiling, that he would skim coat the walls, what materials he would use, and estimated a 3 to 5 day project. He gave us the estimate right there. When I called him back with a few questions, he was patient and clear. He finished the work in 3 days. I was very pleased with the results. Dan had not given us the Angies List discount. When I called him, he apologized and dropped a check in our mailbox the same day.

It's getting late in the season to be painting new exterior shutters and a new window, but we had no choice; we didn't want to go through the winter with just a prime coat. Todd suggested they paint them in our garage before we installed them; inspired thinking! He even good-humorously went the extra mile for us, by picking up the window from our installer's location. Dan did a wonderful job of painting; everything looks great. I will definitely hire them again.

Todd went above expectations in all aspects of service. He even went to a neighbor's house who, graciously, gave him the paint color I admired, after I had tried about 10 colors on my own. His crew came back until they got everything ''right''. Phone calls were answered promptly, they cleaned up their messes, and hauled away the trash. They were the highest bidder and worth it as Todd is very professional.

Our walls had been wallpapered for years. We wanted to go with a textured paint finish for the ceiling and walls. Todd worked with us to arrive on a finish. The ceiling and walls were prepped very well, the new surface was applied, and the painting was completed in less than three days. The crew was extremely neat and clean. They arrived on time and took care to protect the rest of the house from this messy work. The completed work was 100% satisfactory. We know we will hire Shelton Painting again.

Called Shelton on a Saturday and Todd returned my call in one hour. He was able to give a lot of information over the phone, explained it would take at least 2 trips. He met me 2 days later to look at door and finalize the quote. I was given a schedule date and I requested morning. Because I needed a morning, we actually moved the date out one day. Todd and Jim completed the door in 3 trips on 3 consecutive days. They were very knowledgeable and conscientious about the staining and did not leave any residue or stain on the wood floors in our foyer. Jim was extremely patient and worked hard even with some "distractions" at our house! He was also very considerate about the safety of our house and not leaving the door unlocked when he left on all 3 days. Again, the door is beautiful and I could not ask for a better outcome. I was quoted $200 and the final price was $200. A great bargain with 3 trips.

VERY well, the crew was courteous and clean. They did the job promptly. The job was done very well. They even fixed defects from a previous painting job without additional cost.

I decided not to go with this company because their bid for the kitchen/cabinets was too high. It was also a timing issue. They were really booked. He was such a nice guy though.

They painted 3 rooms, plastered, and painted the ceilings. The crew worked diligently through the day to finish the job. The finished job looks beautiful! The cleanup was excellent.

Once again, Todd and his crew did a fantastic job for us. He was able to fit us into his busy schedule and performed the work thoroughly and professionally.

Dan Shelton was quick to return my call and came over the next day for an estimate, which he provided in writing on the spot. I had gotten two other quotes, one was about the same and the other was much higher. I decided to go with Shelton because I liked Dan and his fast response. Surprisingly, because of a schedule change, Shelton could begin my job the next day! They did an excellent job while we were on a brief trip, so we came home to a beautifully updated home. Very positive experience - they did a great job painting and cleaning up afterward.

Todd returned my call promptly and met me soon after to give an estimate. I was very impressed with Todd and the two gentlemen that work for him (sorry, I don t remember the names). They gave me sound advice and the quality of their work was excellent. I would definitely hire them again.

Not sure what happened, but took 3 days to return initial phone inquiry. Then they never showed up for scheduled estimate. We went with Johnson's Paint Service instead and were very happy!

They were exceptional. They were able to get the job done in a sufficient time. High quality and personable. They were very adaptive too.

Work was thorough, neat, very well done and completed in a timely manner. Painters were very nice and accommodating as was Todd, the company owner.

Todd is a gem to work with. He was very responsive with phone calls. The subcontractors he had do the painting were very nice and respectful. Work was done very nice. I would hire again.

The room was so clean when they left that you would not have known they had painted. There were two issues after the paint dried: nicotine bled through the sealer/primer, leaving a yellow spot on the paint, and the stripes were still visible. Todd Shelton came back out and re-did the yellowed section. The only way to resolve the stripe issue would have been to scrape the entire ceiling, which I had declined. I'll live with the stripes. Todd was honest about what he could do, and what issues I might find. I expected him to balk at redoing the ceiling, but he did it politely, expeditiously, and without complaint.

Initially we were very pleased with the work Shelton did. The crew was fast and everything looked good. Upon closer inspection though there were several corners and edges that were sloppy. They also put some large gouges in our hardwood floors. Todd was willing to pay to have the floors repaired, but after our floor guy took a look at the damage he said he couldn't fix the spots without re-sanding everything because the repairs would show. We're unhappy that more care wasn't taken to avoid the damage to our floors. Todd reassured us that he'll have his crews use carpet squares in the future but now we're stuck with some big scratches on what were very well maintained floors.

Todd promptly came to give me an estimate after I phoned, and his crew arrived exactly as promised. We couldn't be more pleased. The care they take when preparing the rooms for painting is meticulous. There was not a spot of paint anywhere it shouldn't have been. It was a great job, and we will use them again when we paint the rest of the house.
