Five painters arrived in timely manner on a Monday morning - some pulled down wallpaper (it was not an easy job), others taped and draped and painted. They moved furniture as needed. Two coats were applied. The entire job was completed be early Wednesday afternoon. They were professional, fast and did a very good job.

Todd promptly set an appointment the day I called him. He explained everything he would do, which paint he would use (Sherwin Williams), and how he intended to patch the texture in a couple of spots. We scheduled the job for the following week, but days later he offered to move the job up if it was convenient with me. It was. He sent a man to scrape and patch the "scar" in the ceiling, and the next day he came with his crew of four. They taped everything quietly and efficiently. The patched area was re-textured; the result is seamless. The painting (with a sprayer) was the quickest part of the whole job. Todd returned twice during the day to bring the paint, inspect the work, and then to return my receipt and shake hands. I had his cell phone in case something came up during the times he was absent. Cleanup was excellent, and they were gone by 4:00pm the same day. The result looks brand new, making the room feel bright and clean.

It went really well. I dealt w/ mainly Dan, and he was super. He was very responsive, punctual, and very nice to deal with in general. I think they did a great job. I asked Dan to touch up a few details, and he came back the next day and handled it all w/ no extra charge. I would highly recommend Shelton Painting, and use them again. Also, I had movers coming on Friday, and asked if there was any way they could paint before the movers got there, and they moved a few things around in their schedule to accommodate me, which was great.

The crew arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time, early on a Monday morning. Todd had warned us that it might take up to 5 days to complete the job in phases. By the time I came home from work that evening, the entire main floor had been taped, and the oak floor protected with thick paper. It was a little bit tricky keeping the dust and debris from spreading to other floors, because we have an open staircase, but they did it! Partway through the project, we decided to simplify the painting of the doors to one solid color, rather than two-color as planned. Todd cheerfully adapted to the new plan and tossed in the painting of our front door (on another floor) in exchange. The 4 workers stayed on the job from 8:30 to 5:30-6:00 for three days, leaving the house clean, replacing all furniture without damaging the floors. It was a happy experience, with courteous workers respectful of our time and belongings, especially the grand piano.

We got the bid at the end of September. They told me they would not be able to fit us in the schedule until the Spring. They were also the highest bid, so we went with another company.

Easy quick estimate, helpful advice, excellent work done.

"Total bid amount" on the estimate form does NOT equal "actual cost." Very misleading form. "Power washing" and "detached garage painting" were additional costs. Very poor communication. Further touch up painting request, due to window re-install, at approx 20 sq. ft., would apparently cost me more than half ($300; denied) what I paid to paint my entire garage (single car, detached: $500 (paid). Storm windows were re-installed INSIDE OUT. Request to have this corrected was met with the reply "well, I don't know how THAT happened." (This was fixed.) Blocked roof drain nevertheless got downspout unnecessarily re-attached; other working downspouts ignored. Lots of garbage left in my garage. Clean up poor.

Fantastic job. The bid was straightforward. Although they did not want to make promises about start and end times since we were at the end of the season, they started right when they said they would. The crew was larger than I expected, which was great because it meant they finished really really fast. We added the garage on the day the job started. They were unfazed, just added to the bid and did the work. I picked this company because of all the good reviews and then meeting Tod during the bid sealed the deal. He knows what he's doing and cares about doing a good job. The bid was not the lowest, but it wasn't the highest and, given the top-quality paint they used, the size of the work crew, and the guarantee, it was a great value. They were able to direct us to a house they just finished with the same color scheme we were considering. This company gets good reviews for good reason. They are great.

The company motto must be, "We don't want to become your house guests." I heard that same phrase several times from different workmen, and they lived up to their claim. The painting day arrived, two crews began prepping, paint arrived, one coat on inside, half the outside done; lunch! Second coat on, exterior painting done; by dinnertime, ALL the painting was completed. Todd's crews were polite, good humored, neat, hard-working, and very talented. They dealt with my "color choice angst" with skill and patience. I would highly recommend Shelton Painting!

Came out - was maybe a little high on price. He was punctual, he was helpful. Gave me free estimate, didn't try to oversell me. I told him I was getting estimates from other companies as well.

Todd gave us an estimate and helpful advice on ordering storm windows and an interior paint job we will be doing ourselves. Dan managed our project. He was very courteous and easy to work with. Their team did excellent work and an impressive job on some very old windows. We did have some mis-communication about the color we wanted the garage door painted, but Dan and Todd took care of this right away and the garage door was re-painted immediately. We were very happy with their workmanship and service.

We had used them in the past. They did a great job. They sprayed and then brush painted as a second coat. They were very thorough.

Great. The painting team did a wonderful job and were very respectful of our home during the process. They took a lot of pride in their workmanship and spent the time to do the job right. They also cleaned up and reassembled our rooms to our satisfaction.

Very well. We had scraped part of the ceilings, but let Shelton finish the scraping and do all the rest. It was a difficult job, working a two-story foyer, and hot and humid weather to contend with. They arrived as scheduled and finished in two days instead of the allotted three. The workers were all polite and hard working, we felt comfortable to have them in our home. Quality was very good.

Overall very professional, very accommodating and did a very nice job. Todd was very flexible to come out and give an estimate and then scheduled the work to be done pretty soon after I committed to him to do the work. The crew he had was courteous and were neat with their work.

They did a good job and I would use them again.

All and all it went well. Todd was easy to work with as where his crew members.

I am putting my house up for sale, had planned on having them do more work, but recommended what they thought was worth the money (pressure washing fence) and what we would probably be disappointed by (pressure washing stucco). They did an excellent job, very quick and clean, recommended less expensive alternatives and didn't try and pressure us into extra work that wasn't needed.

This painting job was amazing. They did a great job. We were supposed to get two painters, but because it was raining they sent 7 people and got done in one day. They patched all the walls, moved all the furniture and cleaned up. They also matched the colors to perfection. I would recommend them to anyone.

Outstanding, professional job. Although they were booking out 3-4 weeks, we wanted it done sooner and they fit us in within 2 days due to another client's cancellation, which was great. They made sure we were satisfied and touched up a few small areas until they were "perfect." They take down all wall sconces and protect every surface very carefully. They even worked around our movers.

I called Todd Shelton, the owner, and told him about two bathrooms that I needed finished, meaning painting the walls, then painting trim and doors white. I had tried to stain the base and trim myself prior, and it didn't turn out well, so they had some work to do to make it look nice. He came over for an estimate within a day and gave me a very fair quote. We scheduled the work for 2 weeks out, and his guys (Jim and Steve) showed up promptly. They were very nice and professional. They prepped the areas to be worked on very well, and were meticulous with the work. After 2 days, Jim had to come back to finish for another 1/2 day, and went above and beyond to make the rooms look great. He even listened to me when I asked him to redo some areas that were either missed, or needed to be re-skimmed. Great experience...great work, easy to work with, and would highly recommend. I will use them again.

Todd and his crew are the best! The job entailed painting a dining room, living room with cathedral ceilings, 2 story foyer and stairway as well as loft. This included painting the ceilings and the walls. The crew was punctual, courteous and asked all the right questions. They did a wonderful job of taping areas off and protecting the flooring. Todd personally helped me "tweak" the wall color so that the paint that came out of the can was exactly what I wanted. The job was quoted as a 2 day job and sure enough, it was completed to my satisfaction in 2 days. I would definitely use them again.

Fantastic-they did beautiful work with quality materials. They were on time and completed their work quickly. I would call them again for any painting job.
