Tim Shelton came out to give me an estimate and, later, called to schedule the work within 4 days. They were on time, personable and professional. The company was a pleasant surprise from my past dealings with contractors.

We had a problem during the job because the previous owner of the house had not primed the ceiling, so the whole job Shelton did fell off overnight, and this wasn't their fault. They came back and worked so hard to get it fixed.

They were prompt, did a good job and they even came back and put up the basketball backboard. They were professional and I heard about them on Angie's list.

While the condition of some of the walls was worse than expected, and required additional patching, there was no additional charge. I was impressed with their speed and thoroughness.

They were great. The working crew was very professional and very respectful to each other as they worked. They were a very trustworthy group. I would recommend them to anyone.

I wanted to use another company, but they were too busy. This company was able to do the work when I needed them to. They came to my house to show me paint samples and we agreed on a color. They were contentious of containing any mess. Unfortunately, the spots that they spackled and painted has started to crack again. I was hoping that that fix would have lasted longer. All in all, I thought that they did a job.

With 17 contractors scheduled to fix up my dad s house in 2 weeks, Todd Shelton was the most helpful and flexible of all our contractors. Todd was always available evenings and weekends he answers his own phone or calls back quickly if not able to take a call. When our front door installer fell through Todd arranged for his carpenter who did a great job. When the hardwood floor contractor needed one day more than expected to remove a sub floor, Todd tried re-arranging the paint schedule best he could to accommodate, but in the end shifted most of the job into the next week (by switching our job with another) at the last minute. When we ran out of time and could not possibly get the garage painted before leaving town Todd agreed to add it on to the original job. He also painted a set of cabinets in the utility room at no extra cost. While I know I could have gotten a lower bid on this job I chose Shelton Painting because I knew they would do it right (based on neighbor s recommendation and reviews from Angie s List). The house had been fairly neglected for 30 years and there was a lot of work to be done. Since the work was done after we left town I have not seen it, and will not see it until the real estate photos are posted, but I am extremely happy with the reports I have received from our neighbor and Real Estate agent, and have no doubt that the house looks great.

Service was great. I received 3 estimates and while Shelton Painting was not the cheapest, it was very competitive with the lowest bid and Dan's professionalism and the responsiveness from Dan and the crew at the office made it an easy choice. They were very clear about the process and what we would need to do (which wasn't much) right off the bat. They were prompt and punctual, gave an estimate on the spot and were very flexible about adding or subtracting rooms, etc. They were accommodating with our schedule and on the first day they showed up on time and ready to go. The work was done quickly and professionally. No mess when they left, the quality of the work was very high and they were able to make a few changes on the fly after the job started. The final cost was exactly the bid amount, even though I think the wallpaper removal and wall repair was a little more extensive/time consuming than had been originally estimated. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I would recommend Dan and Todd and their crew and will use them again if and when the need arises.

Todd quickly scheduled an estimate and the crew began work when promised. I selected the paint at the Sherwin Williams store and Todd picked it up. No problems with color or selections. They did a fantastic job covering lots of DARK colors (rust, blue, and red) with a light toupe color. Todd recommended a high grade of paint and I am very pleased. From start to finish they made the process easy, reasonable and stress free. Many thanks guys! I'll have you back.

I thought that they did a superb job. I was in a time crunch, and they worked with my schedule. They were flexible and easy to work with. I chose them because they had great reviews on Angie's List and they were in my area.

I was very pleased with Shelton Painting Inc. The 2 men came promptly at 9am, as scheduled, and worked all day, then came back to finish up the work the next day. They moved all items, and put them back upon completion. Covered ALL stationary and movable items with plastic so as to not drip paint on them. Fixed any dry wall holes, dents, etc. All I had to do was to make sure the breakables/pictures on wall were down and put away. They even took sometime to fix a small water spot on a ceiling for me with no charge. I got 2 estimates for this job, and Shelton Painting was half the price of the other companies estimate.

Todd Shelton came over to give me an estimate of my project. I needed the bathroom painted. The previous owners had stripped off wallpaper and painted the bathroom without removing the wallpaper paste so the paint was peeling off the walls. I also needed the bathroom ceiling painted and it was the popcorn variety. It was a 2 day project. The walls had to be sanded down, patched, primed and painted. The ceiling had to be scraped, prepped and they did a knocked-down ceiling. The young men came over when they were scheduled to and did a great job. Todd stopped over several time to check on the work and make sure everything was good. It turned out great. I love it and am so glad I hired Shelton Painting to do the job. I plan on hiring them again in the future.

He was on time to do the job. He was professional while working. He was courteous and kind with my family. The quality of his work was good. His responsiveness was not good.

They did a great job. It looks beautiful and I was amazed that they did all this work in four days. I called Todd, he came over the same day and gave me an estimate. I got 4 bids and went with Shelton because the bid made sense, he seemed to know what he was doing and high ratings on Angie's List. I contracted for Shelton to do the job while I was on vacation. When he gave me the bid, he went over what needed to be done before they began; trim work and electric. Met with Todd before I left and went over the entire job. While I was away, checked in and there were no problems. Todd did warn me that when I returned, I would find a lot of drywall dust, and there was! Not sure why, it was all over the house, even in the closets and drawers. It took two deep cleaning days to get it all out. Previous renovation projects; a new kitchen and complete basement remodel did not result in such widespread dust. And the stuff is fine and ubiquitous! I would budget some funds for cleaning just in case! Except for that, it was a good experience. They came back to fix some minor things, they are very nice people and Todd is a pleasure to work with. And they did a first class job.

Professional and did a good job. There were a couple minor things they forgot to do after painting, like putting the light fixtures back; other than that they did a good job.

Having found Shelton Painting via Angie's List, we contacted Todd Shelton, the owner, for a preliminary appointment. He arrived on the appointed date, and was on time. Todd inspected the designated area, helped us choose suitable colors, and provided an estimate. We accepted the offer and established a project date with Todd. We needed to adjust the date and Todd graciously rearranged his calendar. His team arrived on time and his employees got right down to business. The project took two days and it was completed in a very professional manner. The workmanship was very good and the upstairs interior now looks very lush. The whole team performed in an outstanding manner. We'd like to extend special kudos to Zach, the crew chief. And, Todd Shelton, although involved with other jobs, stopped by often to check on the job's status. We highly recommend Shelton Painting to all Angie's List members and we will consider Todd for future work.

He gave me a prompt estimate and was sympathetic about the graffiti. In the end, I did not use him because I used the city's contractor for graffiti removal. But from the small amount of interaction I had with this company, I was impressed by their professionalism and I would definitely contact them again in the future. Estimated cost was $200.

Todd returned my phone call within a matter of hours, and made an appointment the next day to provide an estimate. He was available to begin work in a week and a half and the work was completed beautifully within two days. There was absolutely no mess left for me to clean up. I had to leave the doors open for the painters when I left for work, and they made sure that everything was secure when they left. Todd was extremely pleasant to work with and explained everything to be done in advance. His employees were very polite and conscientious about their work.

Todd arrived on a Saturday to go over what we wanted and we received his estimate early the following week. Todd had walked us through how each day would go beforehand and it went exactly as planned. He arrived with Randy, the construction sub-contractor on Monday morning. My husband was home each morning, but didn't need to stay around any longer than to open the door and let them in. I called Todd one day for an update, and he knew exactly what was going on and what was going to happen over the next day. He had originally said it would cover a four day period (allowing for drying time), and that's exactly what it took. We were very pleased to get our basement back together after having it a mess for almost 2 months.

Workers showed up when scheduled and did an excellent job of containing the dust from scraping the old texture off and applying new knockdown texture. Workmanship was excellent and the cost was per the estimate provided. I really liked the fact that Shelton Painting did not use subs for any part of the job. Small crew but very talented. Highly recommend and will use again in the future.

This was a large, complex project that had to be coordinated with new carpet installed right before the painting (a choice that worked well). I had spent a year worrying about how this could all happen in tight spaces without much room to move and store heavy furniture, and I wish I had found and called Todd and Dan much sooner. They were outstanding! Their attention to detail is incredible, far beyond what you would expect from painters. They are very well-organized--first day, they arrived on-time with a crew of 7, each one knowing what his specialized job was, and they got to work immediately. Based on other Angie's reports, I was confident in leaving town for 5 days with Dan in charge of the house. At one point, our furnace unfortunately failed, losing heat on a sub-zero day; Dan consulted with us in Wisconsin and helped arrange for the repair. The quality of their work was spectacular, and their experience, care, energy and accessibility were wonderful!

This is the 3rd project that Shelton painting has done for us. They always provide a high level of quality. They also thoroughly clean up, and respect the fact that they are working in our home. They cleaned up the bathroom every night so that we could continue to use it, despite the fact that they had to re-prep the next day to continue working.

Very well. The team was courteous, punctual, very hard working, they hung plastic on walls, and covered floor and furniture with plastic sheets, they cleaned up the work area every day, and they did an excellent job on the ceilings. We were so impressed with their first work, that we had them come back to do three more rooms.
