They were very polite on the phone, and came out within 2 days to give us an estimate. Dan worked with us to decide what colors and type of finish we would like to use. There was a delay getting the work done, but that was entirely due to a very wet October. As soon as the weather was clear for a couple of days to dry out the deck, they got the work done.

Todd came out and gave an estimate on the spot which was very helpful as we had another bid coming in as well. Todd's bid came in several hundred dollars below the other one. His team came in the following week and completed the job in two days. They were efficient, clean, respectful and friendly. We did a final walk through and were encouraged to call if we noticed anything after they were gone. We haven't needed to do that but appreciated the continued customer service anyway. Thanks to Todd and this team!

It was a very good experience for us. The painters were friendly and efficient. They arrived when they said they would and even worked on Saturday to accommodate our schedule.

Notwithstanding the fact that the weather did not cooperate, the company effectively used the dry days to complete the work in time to permit a different company to install new storm windows. The preparation was thorough, the colors were as promised, and the owner and crew were courteous and diligent. The quality of the work was excellent.

I was under a lot of time pressure to get my house ready to sell. Shelton Painting was very responsive with a visit to my home and a clear, detailed description of work that would and would not be included in the bid. Once the work was agreed to, Todd mobilized a large crew to get the job done correctly yet quickly to beat the bad weather that was coming in. The job was done as Todd described. When I had questions or concerns during the final "walk-around," Todd responded very well to each issue so that all details were taken care of. Will definitely hire them again.

It went very well. They gave a careful estimate, showed up on time, did excellent work, and were friendly and generally a delight to work with. They were also very good at cleaning up when they left each day and at the end of the job. They took less time to complete the work than we anticipated.

Their quote was punctual and competitive. When I requested the use of a specific brand of paint (that I found on Consumer Reports) they readily agreed even though they had only used it once before. The start of their painting was delayed by the completion of a large roof repair project we had due to hail damage. They were able to put on about 10 people at once on the job to get it done before the weather got too cold. Their workman were careful and courteous. I asked them to were special shoes (Cougar Paws) when they walked on the new roof to paint adjacent walls and they readily agreed. Now, almost one year later the paint job looks great!

Crew leader Zack was professional, knowledgeable and provided top-notch service throughout the project--as did the entire crew. We needed this project turned around quickly. Todd actually took time to give me an estimate on a Sunday, they started working on Tuesday and were completely finished on Thursday. Plus, Todd was able to help me select the correct paint match and put me in touch with an associate at the paint supply store. I had doubts we could pull it off in the time frame, but it all worked and exceeded my expectations. All good stuff. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them.

We were very pleased with the customer service and the work performed. Initially, Todd came out to work out the estimate. Dan was our contact once we were ready for painting to begin. Both were very good about responding to our calls and coordinating with us. That was wonderful since we had the estimate done in the Spring, but then were not able to pull it all together on our end to schedule with them until late in the Summer. The weather cooperated, repairs were completed, the power washing was done, and then a few days later the crew was able to start painting. The crew of two were very hard working and particular about their tasks. They behaved professionally and were tidy with their equipment and the work area. They worked like the boss was around all the time, but Dan would stop by anyway during the day and check in on them about details. The job took 2 days. It looked -and still looks- great. They really did a nice job. It made it easy for us to write out the payment check when the quality of work was so good. Now we wish that we would've picked them to paint our house a few years ago...guess we'll have to have them back.

I was able to set up a good estimate time within a week. Todd Shelton listened and explained well as I brought him through the project areas. He did suggest fuller / fullest repair and repainting of textured ceilings, which are in all the rooms-- I was unsure of how much I wanted done. After our walk-through, it slightly stunned me that he wrote up an estimate within a minute while standing in the hallway. The price was good for the amount of work and quality of materials, but we did go with another highly Angie's List painter for cost considerations. I would have Shelton bid on four future projects. I must mention Todd gave a free, helpful tip about our front door-- not part of the bid nor a solicitation for more work, which was much appreciated.

The original estimate was given by Todd who is very knowledgeable and focused on proper prepping and quality paint. Dan came out to over see the project and was also very knowledgeable about the products and performance. The outdoor deck was prepped exactly the way it should be then it was painted meticulously by brush. Every nook and cranny was painted. The 1/2 bath wallpaper removal went well. Initially, Pro Mar 200 paint was used to get a lower luster matte finish than Duration paint but I did not like the way the paint looked after being splashed with water. They came out and repainted the whole bathroom with Duration paint without hesitation when I complained. Both owners are extremely professional and customer service oriented. I have never rated a company as worth more $ than I paid but I think this company deserves that status.

They did an excellent job, I will never call anyone else. Todd is super responsive and all his painters are very professional in attitude and the work they perform. They arrived on time and cleaned up well after they were finished. They also had me check over everything to make sure I was completely satisfied. An awesome company.

I had three very different projects involving panting. I called Todd Shelton for an estimate and reached him personally. Todd came out to give me an estimate the next day. I was impressed with Todd's "No problem!" approach to projects (that would have been problems for me!) as well as his genuine interest in my projects and professional, no obligation, suggestions for how to best approach each project. The work was started within the week. The textured ceiling in my garage has been a problem for years with patches of the texture falling in random spots. Todd recommended scraping the entire ceiling, priming it and retexturing it. His crew did an incredible job of reigning in a very messy job and completely renewing the ceiling. It looks wonderful The exterior of our intricately carved, wooden door had become so badly weathered that I worried it may be beyond repair. The door was sanded, restained and varnished to a beautiful sheen! This was an amazing restoration that has brought out the beauty of a previously under-appreciated door! The most creative and labor-intense job was to repaint our painted deck. Todd expressed his interest in a new product that is touted as weathering very well, with the admission that he hasn't used this product before. I appreciated that he asked if we'd be interested in trying it or if we'd prefer to stick with products he has used. We agreed to try the new product. Todd explained that he wouldn't start to paint the deck until it was thoroughly dry from the preliminary power-washing. Since we had some very warm days the deck dried quickly. After two coats of paint, attesting to their professionalism and their pride in their work, the crew was not happy with the shade of paint. They offered to have the paint re-tinted and to paint one more coat so the deck would match the rest of the house trim better! Dillon put in a 12 hour day repainting the deck by hand! This is one amazing company!

Todd stopped out and gave us a very thorough and on the spot bid for the job. He was very professional, knowledgeable and asked all of the right questions. Shelton Painting's bid was right in line with the other quote we recd, and it essentially came down to a coin flip type decision, I would not hesitate in recommending this company based on my experience.

They arrived when they said they would, completed the job on time, and did a very good job of cleaning up. The paint job looks very good and I would recommend them.

They were on time and got the job done in two days - well under what they had estimated! There was an unrelated glitch that came up with some piping in the bathroom and they had a handyman that they use come out, within an hour, to help us with that!

They did an excellent job the first time they came and that’s why I asked them to paint the exteriors as well. They have got great prices, finished the job on time and were excellent overall. I got to know about them through Angie’s list. They were very personable, straight forward and easy to talk to. They also gave good necessary advice. They have good eye for painting and they did a great job. They also fixed things around the house.

Went Fantastic. Skilled craftsmen. Hardworking. Respectful. Painted virtually entire main floor of a 900 sf house including ceilings, woodwork and doors. in three days. Also stained the frame on a new window so that it matched existing woodwork perfectly. These guys are professionals. Wish that I had known that if you let Todd buy the paint then Sherwin Williams will provide a FREE color consultant!!!I missed out.

They had to redo some of the work because they didn’t do it properly. They seemed to take responsibility for it, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. They tried to cut corners and it didn’t work out. They were nice guys, but I didn’t expect to tell them how to do their job. I wouldn't recommend them to others.

They were on time and the work they did was very good. They also came back and took care of anything that needed to be done. They were professional, responsive and punctual.

It had been 9 years since our house was painted and it really needed it - the paint was peeling in some places. They did a good job sanding, priming and painting the wood. They were thorough and careful. We've owned our home for almost 25 years and this is the best the trim has looked.

There's no way I can say enough good things about Shelton Painting. I was extremely pleased from start to finish. I felt the estimate Todd gave me was quite reasonable considering the work I needed done and he stayed within that estimate. They started when they said they would and finished sooner than I expected. They provided a color expert free of charge and Amber had some wonderful ideas that we went with. (She knows her stuff!) The fellows who did the work from Dan(a partner) to Dylan and Carlos far exceeded my expectations. They were all so polite, respectful and professional. I really enjoyed having them here and was actually kind of sad to see them go, but so excited to see the finished product. I absolutely love what they did!!! I am a customer for life and will use them for some interior painting I need done as well. A huge THANK YOU to all of you!!!!

The workers at Shelton were great. They were good all around. I was very satisfied with them. They had a great crew and they communicated very well to me. I have no complaints about them and I would use them again in the future.

Shelton Painting did a great job. They gave me an accurate estimate, arrived on the date and time promised and did a professional job of washing and staining the decks. The crew was courteous and was careful of plants close to the deck. Everything looks great and was finished on time for the amount quoted. We couldn't ask for anything more and would use Shelton Painting again and recommend them to our friends.
