I got a bid. He ran a bit late, but did try to call (had my number wrong). Still, we got in touch and he let me know he was running late. He walked me through what work he would do, which was great. The bid was just a bit high for me.

Amazing paint job, great service, friendly and simply awesome speed. All around very fair pricing. They quoted me for two days but finished in a day! Was very impressed with Shelton Painting and would hire again!

Todd and his crew showed up on time and finished the job in the expected time frame. They were friendly, professional and did a beautiful job. I would recommend them to anyone!

Loved them !!!!!!! I would hire them again in a second. Clean, quick, and done beautifully. The crew moved furniture, covered everything, and moved furniture back when they were done. They left everything spotless. Also very impressive they did everything in ONE day. The crew asked if it would be OK with us to stay until 7pm and we said OF COURSE. So that's patching, sanding and two coats of paint. WOW A big thank you.

Shelton's crew is made up of painting angels. They were on time every day, did such a beautiful job on preparation, were very pleasant to deal with, and all the painting jobs came out beautifully. They were fast and efficient, and the owner, Todd, was friendly, conscientious, and so nice to interact with. We would recommend them with an A+++! Why can't every business be this nice?! PS We'd tried getting a few estimates from other companies. It was a complicated job and they didn't seem interested - one just never got back to us, another one changed his mind after initially accepting. That made the experience with Shelton even more remarkable - great follow through.

Another great job by Shelton painting. We have had them before for some backsplash repair and so happy that Jessie came again! He is an artist with repair work. There were some holes left from new can lights being installed and there is no way to tell where they were. Superb painting as well, looks great. Can’t go wrong with Shelton.

We are very happy with Shelton's work. We had a newly finished basement room that needed painting. I was going to do it myself but kept putting it off and finally decided to hire someone to do it so that it would get done. We had several rooms painted: walls, two windows, four doors and the ceiling. The painters were punctual, polite, and professional. Care was taken to seal off rooms to reduce any paint odors, which we appreciated. We are very pleased with the end result--it looks like the work of professionals and so much better than if I had done it myself. We would not hesitate to hire them again!

Dan and his crew were in when they said they would be, and out when they said they would be very professional, kept me updated on how the job was going. The house was very clean after they were all done which was amazing considering how much of the house they had done, no spills, no paint anywhere it wasn’t suppose to be. I’ll be calling them again for exterior work. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Fast and efficient, really great communication. Didn’t leave us with any touch-up paint, left spackle on many surfaces, left a wall slightly damaged when doing the ceiling work (from tape). Overall good, but didn’t meet my expectations fully.

Todd and his team were very responsive! I was able to arrange a quote the day after my inquiry and they started work later that week. The whole process took about 10 days from inquiry to job completion. Before painting, the crew did a great job filling holes and tidying up old (bad) patches so that the finished product would look as good as possible. I was considering having the trim painted as well, but Todd suggested that he could have the trim paint matched and they would just touch up where needed. This creative idea saved time and a lot of money. I appreciate Shelton's expertise and quality work.

We needed our 3/4 bathroom painted when we were selling our home. We were on a tight timeline because we needed it completed before the inspection. Shelton had someone out to do an estimate right away. And, they were able to schedule the work to be done on a short time line. The finished work was beautifully done, including repairs due to water damage along the shower stall. We'll be repainting in the house in 2018 and will definitely be calling Shelton!

Amazing job. Highly professional. Can't say enough good stuff about them. They were very professional and timely. We decided mid-project we didn't like our color choices and they were able to repaint and still get us into our house on time. The paint looks amazing-perfectly neat and professional. All of the employees that we worked with were great and readily answered our questions and were even patient with our children!

I can't say enough about how professional and thorough Todd's team completed my painting needs. They were meticulous and paid attention to small details, some that were unexpected. At the beginning of the project, 3 men completely covered the carpeting with brown paper and then hung plastic for more protection. In one day, all the ceilings were patched and sprayed and the 2nd day 2 coats of wall paint were applied. They worked diligently and cleaned up all debris from the project. Wish I had more work for them to do for me!

His price was 3x more the next highest bid and 7x more than the company selected.

I couldn't be happier. From the first time I met with Todd, the owner, I knew he knew what he was talking about and would do a good job without taking any short cuts. I have always done my own painting up until this point and am fairly knowledgeable about paint and had done my research. The process he described for sealing the raw wood ceiling and walls with an oil based primer, while costly and smelly, was what was needed to make sure this job was done right and will last now that the basement is water tight. I had decided to paint the ceiling matte black and the walls a pale eggshell finish gray and that was done with latex. The job will be finished be a another contractor installing a gunmetal dark gray metallic epoxy floor. The entire basement is now clean, dry and very pleasant to be in. Todd and his crew were wonderful from first to last. Todd responded right away to my request for an estimate. When we scheduled the job he called the day before to confirm. The crew arrived on time everyday. They were very careful to mask off my stairs and anything that had to be left in the basement, as well as the entire basement floor (even though it was going to be resurfaced). Todd warned me about the smell of the primer and I arranged to stay with my son for that night. Either Todd or his partner came twice each day to check on the progress of the work. The job initially looked like it would take 3 days but ended up taking 4 because the paint was drying slowly between coats and they wanted to be sure it was done right and I got two complete coats on all the walls. They did a great job of cleaning up when they were through, left me with additional paint for future use should I need it and assured me I need only call them if I noticed anything that needed touching up. I highly recommend them. You can get a cheaper price but you will get what you pay for.

The painting crew were professional, friendly and very productive. They did an absolutely perfect and flawless job. I would hire Sheldon painting again without any other bids. They know what they are doing and want the customers to be happy and satisfied.

Had to come back next day to fix minor problems. But in the end everything was goof

This is Steve leaving this review (husband of Michelle, the Angie's List account holder)... Absolutely first-class process from start to finish and it is the outcome that matters, obviously. We were so pleased with that outcome — our kitchen and master bathroom cabinet enameling — that we couldn't be more delighted! Todd's estimate was spot-on, the crew was very diligent, careful and trustworthy, and they all truly went the extra mile to make certain we were happy with the work and that the enameling outcome was top-notch and professionally done. Yes, it's disruptive to have a "paint booth" in one's garage for several days and people in the house and while everything in the kitchen and master bath was taped off, but there is no other way to accomplish this type of work. For us, that disruption was especially acute since both my wife and I office out of our home. But Todd was there often as he was closely supervising the process and the crew was so diligent, accommodating and pleasant that it made it possible to co-exist and get our work done. As Todd informed us before the project began, there was the inevitable sanding dust over things in the family room (near the kitchen), but one of Todd's crew did a great job of cleaning it all up, as did everyone else within their respective areas, so we didn't have much to clean up after they left. One other thing: I've also done a fair amount of painting in the house myself (and have over the years and intend to do some more over the Labor Day weekend). Todd *could have* tried to push me to hire them to do that painting which I'll be doing myself (wall painting is something I *can* do well) but instead he graciously gave me some tips on how to get to the results my wife and I are hoping to achieve and even gave me a lead on how to get a couple of chips in our granite countertop fixed. Now THAT is the definition of a classy businessman who balances driving his business while being customer-focused. Because of our project's excellent outcome, Todd's willingness to dig-in and help us get to the outcome we desired, his first-rate crew and how they worked so closely with us, Shelton Painting has earned our trust and we already have two other couples who are interested in coming over to our house to see the work they did since they want to do something similar! We'll tell them that we'd hire Shelton Painting again in a heartbeat and they should too.

Todd is very punctual to his estimate. He is also very responsive and timely. His employee that did the work was also punctual, professional, and timely. They gave me an estimated deadline for start date and amount of time it would take, and they were good to their word on both aspects. Professionally taped off surfaces, covered appliances/carpet, and cleaned up after himself, too! I did not receive an Angie's List discount.

Todd and his team did a fantastic job. Todd came out very quickly to give a quote and I was able to schedule quickly to help keep my project moving. In terms of the service, Todd came out with his team and walked through everything again to be sure we were aligned. His team then worked quickly and took great care to prep and protect the my house. The final product looked great- I will definitely contact Todd next time I have painting needs.
