I've been trying to reach Shelton Painting for over a week. I've left 2 messages, called on 4 different days and none of my calls were returned. What else needs to be said? The business that does not respect customer's time is not worth doing business with. Painting is not rocket science. Do yourself a favor and find someone who is responsive and professional.

Todd came out to give us a quote the day after I called. He seemed to know what we wanted before we even said it (don't paint any of our old woodwork that isn't already painted), and asked questions about all of the rest (exposed pipes, radiators, built ins, etc). He gave us an honest assessment of our plaster over concrete basement wall that has mineral deposits (they may come back in a couple of years after being sanded and painted). The quote was very reasonable, given the size of the project and the work involved in scraping and sanding our old woodwork. He was able to fit the project in soon after we called to hire them. Todd did a thorough walk through with the whole crew and us before they started the work. The whole crew was courteous, professional, and seemed to really care about the quality of their work. They cleaned up after themselves, and were very careful with our furniture and hardwood floors. Everything came out looking perfect! The lines on the trim are crisp, and the walls look fantastic! We were extremely impressed with not only the quality and speed of work that Todd's crew performed, but also the attention to detail that many contractors miss.

Todd was easy to work with, and also was able to locate a color consultant which none of the local paint suppliers were able to do. Jhaun Cole, Jamie Lopez, and Steve Laitinen all showed up the first day on time with Todd, and returned the next two days exactly when they promised, to complete the work for us. They all were extremely cheerful and did an excellent job. We plan to use them again when we complete the other rooms. We were extremely happy with the entire job.

They arrived when they said they would. And Finished when they said they would.

I've used Shelton's for two projects now. Todd is outstanding to work with. He's very professional and easy going. He gives great feedback and makes helpful suggestions. He's always been very prompt but I have to give him props for helping me out of a big bind. I had a rental tenant moving in that week and I called first thing Monday morning. He met me at 10:30 that day, sent a crew the following day, and they left my apartment beautifully painted and perfect Tuesday night. The guys did an OUTSTANDING job and they helped me out of a big bind with short notice. I will definitely hire this company again. These guys demonstrate a rare trait among most professionals I've worked with: Pride. Not only was the work outstanding, they guys were very professional, showed up on time, did more than what was asked (they even painted behind the refrigerator!!!), charged a fair price, tackled all the loose ends (even ones they didn't create) and even cleaned up after themselves. I got more than my money's worth and you can't say that about every contractor these days. These guys went the extra mile for me and they've earned my business for as long as I have work to be done.

They were SO FAST. SO DATAILED. We are definitely having them back!

Ok. They just walked out the door. This company is a class act! They breezed in promptly on Monday (the 11th) morning. It wasn't until 2:00 on Tuesday that the colors were finalized. Tuesday night our kitchen and master bed/bath were done. They had a crew of 2-6 people working at a time. They walked out of here on the 14th at 1 pm.. They did a beautiful job, the crew was pleasant and polite. They cleaned up very well after themselves. I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN and will recommend to friends and neighbors. I used a color consultant from from Sherwin Williams (Karen) who also was wonderful.

They were quick and very professional. They were neat and very courteous. They were very nice people to work with. They were very accommodating. The quality was about 120%. They did very, very nice work. I plan to use them again.

I would say they did just an ok job. They were nice to work with and on time, but the quality and attention to detail was not what I had hoped. I had to have them back to finish up work that was subpar. They did come back and were nice about it but then you have to spend time picking out every little thing they missed which I would have expected a quality painter to get the first time around. I felt like they needed a little more quality control from supervisors rather than make the customer do that work. I can't recommend them for that reason.

I called Todds cell phone he suggested I call the office to schedule an appointment, I was suprised at this but I did it and Dan was able to come out a few days later. Dan gave me some pointers on the drywall job that was just finished and we agreed some more finishing work was likely required, so I ask him to quote this he felt they could make it right. I got another quote as well and though they were not the lowest quote we got we went with Shelton due to past experience with them. They booked the work out a week or two, and came and did the work in two days or so. I inspected the work and showed a few small areas that were missed and Dan took care of it. Overall good experience.

Our experience with Shelton Painting was fantastic. The crew was very conscientious and professional. The project was finished in much less time than I expected. I will hire them for any painting projects I have.

I was told when I first rang, that should I accept a bid from them, it would be a few months delay (before the work would start) due to previous bookings. The bid was acceptable (plus I got an Angies list discount ), and they started work about 4 1/2 months later. Once they started, the crew were very prompt and finished in a little over a week. Each day the crew left the job site neat and picked up. The prep work was very thorough. Dan the foreman was great to work with. The finished job is excellent. I am very pleased with all aspects of working with this company and have no hesitation in recommending them to my neighbors.

Todd was very easy to work with. He gave me an estimate on the spot, and price wise it was very reasonable, and allowed us to add a few things here and there. I worked with Dan and the team after that. The team was very experienced, extremely professional, approachable and friendly. They were very punctual too! Arrived everyday at 8.30 and left on time. They kept to the deadline, and everything I asked for was done perfectly. They take great pains to tape everything off, use miles of plastic on the floors, and move the furniture themselves. They also patched a couple of holes in my ceiling for free! Overall, they were very efficient and we LOVE the way our rooms have turned out. Great job!

They were prompt with the estimate and the final price was within the estimate. In the end, the work they did was good, but it took longer than I expected. Initially, they were going to do the repair work on the first day (2-3 hours) and then come back the next day for the painting (2-3 hours). My husband planned to stay home from work the first day and I would stay home the second day. They decided to go ahead and do it all the first day without consulting my husband (who as a result ended up staying home all day). Then a day or so later, we noticed cracking in the work that had been done. As a result, they had to come back out a second day. If they had done as they had originally planned, there wouldn't have been problems. He felt bad about the situation and rectified it promptly, but I think if they hadn't been in a hurry the first day, it would have been better.

Very professional service. Took 4 months from signed contract to painting (which he warned us about prior to doing the bid). As we got closer to painting date, they came out and power-washed the house. The week of painting, they had a large crew so it was completed in 4 days. Sprayed then brushed all the paint, with two coats everywhere. Cleaned up well each night, and at job's end. House looks great! Would highly recommend them.

We had a lot of cracks and things, and they did a great job patching it all up. They did all the work in about 2 days. They were very professional. They also cleaned everything up really well.

I don't usually write reviews, but I think Shelton Painting deserves one. My house and detached garage is 107 years old and really needed some TLC. From the carpenters, to the power washer, to the great stripping and painting crew, they were a pleasure to have around. All were professional and pleasant. And I have never seen crews work so hard! Shelton Painting should be proud of their workers. My house looks beautiful again - thanks so much to everyone.

Overall we were very satisfied with the work. Todd responded to come out an give an estimate very quickly and he provided an estimate on the spot. The painting was done in a day and a half a few weeks later. His crew was punctual, very professional, and very neat. They moved items they needed to move and put them back when done and the house was left clean. The painting looked great. Price was a bit higher than one other bid we got (which took around 2 weeks just to get the bid), but Todd was much more responsive and we got a better 'vibe' from him so we decided the extra $ was probably worth it in reliability and workmanship. We do not regret the decision in the end.

The painters were very professional. They had to move some boxes out of the way and they did not complain. We had a last minute change where they had to remove something off the wall - they did it quickly and it looked seamless when they were done. The job was done in less time than expected and looks great! We would definitely use Shelton Painting again and would highly recommend them.

Todd came out to look over the areas to be painted and provided an estimate; we were able to schedule their time within three weeks. Todd's crew was right on time each day, very professional and personable, and quite obviously took pride in what they do! They moved furniture, taped up all the wood trim on base boards, stair cases, door frames, windows, and the cat-walk raillings, covered the furniture as well as the newly refinished hardwood floors. They filled and sanded (and filled and sanded) nail holes and settling cracks/nail pops. When finished, we were asked to walk through and see if there was anything missed or needing additional attention; they vaccuumed, cleaned, and moved all the furniture back into place. With the size and height of the walls they were painting, we're extremely pleased with the results - not only the painting expertise, but the patchwork underneath as well. Todd is very easy to work with, his crew does an excellent job, and we would recommend Shelton Painting to anyone looking for painting services.

I'd hired Shelton Painting to do some work for me last year, and I liked them, so I got an estimate only from them. Todd called me back right away to set up an appointment for the estimate, and was at my house very promptly to talk about what I wanted done. Besides giving me quotes about the work I wanted completed, he also gave me helpful advice on painting jobs that I was completing myself, which was appreciated. I scheduled the work for August 14, 15 and 16, and again the crew was here exactly when they said they would be. Todd came in to get his crew of 4 men started, double-checking everything with me. The crew wrapped EVERYTHING in plastic: the large pieces of furniture that I couldn't move out of the area; the walls; and the floor. They spent a lot of time and care on prep work, which I also appreciated. Over the 3 days that they were here, one guy painted my hallway and bathroom, while the other 3 scraped, sanded and applied mud to my ceilings. Messy job, but they kept it pretty self-contained, and they warned me repeatedly that it was going to be messy. They then all helped to paint the living room/dining room. Todd stopped in a couple times each day, bringing more paint, and checking in with me to make sure I was happy with what was being done. On the evening of their second day of painting, I realized that I really did not like the color I had chosen to have them paint my bathroom (which was already finished at that time). I called Todd and told him that I had made a mistake in choosing a color, and asked if they would be able to re-paint the bathroom another color the next day. For a small fee, they painted my bathroom a second color. They were very flexible and patient with me. Upon completion, they cleaned up after themselves very carefully. They removed all the tape, unwrapped all of my furniture, removed all of the plastic from the floors, vacuumed and swept and mopped, replaced my rugs, and moved all the furniture back to where it had been. A day or two after the job was completed, I noticed that my ceiling was streaky and had some small areas of white still showing through the yellow paint. I could see lines running along the ceiling where they had sprayed on the paint and not rolled it in. I called Todd and told him that I wasn't completely happy with the ceiling. He instantly apologized without getting at all defensive, and sent a crew member over to fix the problem the very next business day. The crew member agreed with me about the ceiling and also apologized, and then he prepped the entire room again with plastic, etc. He rolled another coat of paint onto the entire ceiling, and then had me inspect it to make sure I was happy with the work. Todd also came over to ensure that my ceiling looked good before his crew member left. I really appreciated their responsiveness and their willingness to make things right, no questions asked. I liked that they stand behind their work. I would definitely use Shelton Painting again, and would recommend them to others as well. I really like my freshly painted rooms.

The painters were professional and did an excellent job in painting and cleaning up. Would use them again without hesitation.

From the get go, the experience with Todd and his crew was exceptional. Todd was very responsive to coming out and giving me a bid.He was professional and puntual. The crew showed up on time the day the job started and everyone was very polite, professional and respectful in my home. They taped up everything and put down floor protectors to make sure they would protect all areas.They completed all the bedrooms first so we were not put out of our beds for the night.Upon completion of the job, they put all the furniture back in place and cleaned up nicely (vacuumed and swept).I felt his prices were very reasonable and in line with other bids. I have also gotten an estimate from him to paint the exterior of ourhome and it was considerably less than 2 other bids. Overall good experience, but have to say, I was most comfortable with Todds many number of years and experience in the painting business..
