SHAWN'S TILE & REMODELING

Was a nightmare. Shawn Hoese works with his father, Harry Hoese, also operating as Harry's Tile. He did not order materials on time, delaying the project often. Very messy, blowing dust all over even though I asked him repeatedly to seal the area. He walked off job as he was about to be fired. He became sloppier and more disrespectful as he ran further over budget (given what was left). He has the hot and cold on the shower reversed, left areas ungrouted, did not clean grout haze off tiles, left exposed wiring, etc. He was overpaid given what he left unfinished. Found he had double-billed for items. He returned $500 worth of tile he had over-ordered that he never refunded to us. Has returned other items and not refunded money to us. Promised he'd charge us his cost on all materials, yet was extremely defensive when we wanted receipts. He would not provide all of them. Worst experience I've ever had with hired worker. Some quality work, but dealing with him not worth it.
