Description of Work: Installed crown molding in our dining room. Contractor showed up on time and only took a half day.

Description of Work: he fixed some bathroom cabinetry to go around new plumbing. he did an great job and I plan to have him back!!

Description of Work: I needed plaster repair to a ceiling. Instead of plaster worker installed sheet rock, which I could have done. When I asked about matching texture he slapped some mud on which was do bad I had to sand it off. I also needed to work on tapering an obvious seam.

Description of Work: Steve replaced sheetrock damaged by a leak. He arrived on time, and completed the work I needed. He was personable, answering my questions and providing advice on related repairs. I was very pleased and would call on his services again.

Description of Work: Steve Scheftel repaired two areas of sheetrock in two different rooms in our house. Because it was an extremely cold day and one wall was an outside wall the drying process took longer than he expected it would. He briefly left to allow it more time to dry, returned and finished the work. I expected to pay more as it took longer but he did not charge more. He was quiet, diligent and all around professional. I learned he does general contracting and woodworking and will definitely use him again in the future.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for dry rot repair. Initially, the repair looked to be okay. Although the rotted area was very small, I had to purchase supplies which cost $90 in addition to the cost of the Big Deal. But that said, I was satisfied. A few days later it rained and the repaired areas sagged and pulled away from the soffit. He cheerfully and promptly returned to redo the repair but I think it should have been done correctly the first time.

Description of Work: Mike was able to repair a wall patch that was opened for a plumbing issue. He worked quickly and professionally and did a great job. Time did not allow for multiple skim coats to be applied so I opted to do that portion myself. He did offer to come back in a few hours though. Very pleased with the repair.

Description of Work: We needed some sheetrock retaped & some cracks repaired.They arrived,looked at it,got to work & did the job--including cleanup.Would use them again for sure!

Description of Work: 4 hours of handyman services. I had him replace 4 light fixture and remove 2 towel bars and patch the walls where they were removed. He did everything I asked and even though the time ran over some he did not charge me extra. If I was rating him for the light fixture replacements he would have had a straight A rating. He did remove the towel bars and patch the walls as I requested, but what I had to do after-the-fact is what dropped the rating. The patching was not dry when he left so I had to sand it down, which would normally not be a problem, but what he used to patch the walls was a problem. Before he left he told me that when I start sanding it will create a fine mist in the air, that will go everywhere, so I'll want to wear protective gear over my eyes and mouth and cover everything. What? I did just that, and I held up a vacuum as I was doing it, and I still had to wash every inch of the bathroom - the walls, floors, sink, toilet, tub, shower, doors, baseboards, and light fixture. I was not pleased. I would use him again, because I believe he is quite knowledgeable, but I don't know why he used what he used to patch a couple of spots on the wall.

Description of Work: They shored up siding that we were having problems with; they did a great job but it took awhile for the first appointment. I would use them again
