Scheftel Construction

I appreciate the skill and responsiveness of Steve Scheftel and his team and have already recommended them to others.

We were searching for a contractor that could think "out of the box" and be creative. Steve rose to the occasion and gave us a beautiful bathroom remodel that exceeded our expectations. We then hired Steve to add on to our two car garage. Steve did a great job and it looks awesome. The most impressive thing about Steve is his loyalty to his clients, and his desire to make them happy. He will stand behind his work. We intend to be clients of his for some time to come.

This was done under their $200 promotion through Angie's List. They came out , they were on time, and left no mess behind. They replaced the missing drywall and completed a first rough coat of drywall compound. It can be difficult to find people for smaller jobs like this and they did exactly what I wanted completed.

I called Steve when another vendor got "too busy". He helped me out with a quick a professional response, Steve did excellent work and a fair price and I will use him again if needed and would recommend Schfetel Construction for anyone needing some good work done.

This was a big deal purchase. That one went just fine. They came out on the day they said they would. I think it was within the next two or three days (after I bought the deal). They did okay. They were on time and did a good job. My interaction with them was real good, we talked and were very cordial to each other. To get a higher grade maybe they could take more time to look at the second item I wanted them to look at, but they did not take much time for that. It only took them an hour or less than an hour. I think their price was a little too high. The quality of their work was very good. They were here on time.

I am extremely pleased with the results on this project. Steve was professional, easy to work with and went above and beyond what I had hoped for with his work. We scheduled the work in advance, and he was willing to work around our crazy schedule. Steve not only fixed what we asked for, but showed us some areas we missed, and came up with some creative solutions to fix them efficiently. When the work was completed - it looks utterly amazing! He blended in the repair work perfectly with the existing structure - you cannot even tell there was work done! It is a perfect match. I'm thrilled we can use the porch (and the windows) now that the weather has turned nice. I would highly recommend Scheftel Construction to anyone.

We had drywall replaced for a kitchen wall. They did a great job and worked quite fast. They were also very clean considering the work that was done as well. They also did some patch work on 3/3/16 that went very well too. Would definitely hire again!

Mark was a very hard worker who started quickly. ( I draped and cleaned up so save money) He repaired bedroom walls with large areas that needed repair. We agreed before he started that this would take more than two hours and I would pay him the extra and he would work until 1pm that day. The sanding is yet to be done by myself or him but time will tell. Would hire him and I have door that needs replacement and would hire him again. Thanks.

We were delighted to get this work done so promptly and with good quality workmanship and with such professionalism. Thank you Steve and Drew. They were able to squeeze our jobs in between other jobs, and they stayed until the work was done. They were personable, professional, tidy, and did good work. We are very pleased and would use them again.

A man showed up and told us it was his first day on the job. He did not have the correct tools so he called his boss. He then sat in our front yard for an hour while waiting for his boss to come explain to him what to do. He finally got started and the boss went to buy materials. When the boss returned he helped a little and they finished the project. It seemed as if the first guy to arrive had no idea what he was doing. They used sub standard materials that weren't designed to be used how they used them. The boards warped within 2 days.

The job was done in about an hour. I was happy enough with the rotting wood being removed and repaired, but he was also able to identify what was happening. He got up on my roof and made a small modification that changed the way water was draining on my roof, preventing it from pooling up and causing the underlying wood to rot.

Steve was fantastic. He worked on our railing for three full days. Always arrived on time and was quick to respond to questions. The railing is solid and beautiful and we couldn't be happier, highly recommend.

Mark came promptly on behalf of the company. He was very nice and courteous! He called the day before to confirm appointment time. This was my first Angie's list purchase. Mark took a quick look at the holes I needed repaired and even spotted a couple more he would fill. He was very reassuring about being able to take care of all of them. I had some sheet rock on hand. Mark brought in his supplies and got right to business! I watched and asked questions, he was very thorough in explaining the steps to me. Again, very courteous and friendly. He filled all the holes, cut the wood for the screws/nails, applied the tape and mudding. Given the time constraint and the fact that mud should dry overnight, i will have to sand and possibly apply one more coat to the larger repairs. This deal was 2 hrs for 99.00, that is $49.50 per hour. He had the tools and the technique, which I needed. He finished repairing 3 larger holes that required wood / sheet rock and 6 smaller ones that only required mud. This was completed in 1 1/2 hrs. He took 10 minutes to load his van and he was done with 20 minutes to spare. He used a sheet to gather most of the debris, however there was quite a mess left. I was happy to have the walls repaired, so I did not mind sweeping, vacuuming and mopping the floor for clean-up! Overall, great experience and I am happy with the results.

It went good. Found out later he sub'd out the final skim coat and would not have used him for taping.

It went very well. He was competent. He got the job done. I would use him again. The price was good. It was fair. The deal covered everything. It was fine.

Steve was very accommodating for my renters, rescheduling and considerate of their needs. He was pleasant and reasonable to work with. The floor is great! I let him choose the floor tile he thought best, renters and I are pleased. Would love to work with him again.

Steve was friendly, professional, flexible and prompt. We had good communication and I would use his services again and recommend to others.

I'm very happy with the results.

He removed the old dry rotted wood and replaced the rotted out facia with new matching fascia board. The whole process took a couple of weeks. It is very quality workmanship and the new fasica matches perfectly - it looks the way the front porch always had looked before the dry rot started. Its even painted to match the rest of the white trim. Excellent work - we would defnintely use Scheftel construction again!

arrived on time and completed work within the purchased time from Angie's list deal. Since I didn't have any paint to match the trim, he painted the work with primer to protect the wood until I had time to paint it. I would hire them again

This purchase went well. They apparently had a large response to the big deal as we had to schedule out several weeks. When the time arrived, they came out and did a good job. The thresholds look great.

I called for a window repair estimate. Steve Scheftel response to me that I just needed to replace the window and that "he didn't have time for this," and then hung up on me. Totally unprofessional. I would recommend that you take your business elsewhere. Steve doesn't deserve your money. I would never consider his service again.
