Temporary fix, will need a new door in the spring.

I'm going to use a different contractor. They came out and provided a quote but they are not available to do the work in the time that I need.

They came out and provided an estimate for me but I am trying to sell my house and they are unable to do the work in the time frame I need.

It went great from start to finish. I can't recommend Steve and his crew highly enough.

It went well. I had tried this job previously and did not trust my knowledge to do it right. Provider knew what to do and did it. I was able to watch and learn and occasionally assist. I really appreciate the care provider exhibited in keeping work area clean. Provider was clearly knowledgeable, was punctual, and did the job within the pre-paid time block. I am completely satisfied.

We hired Scheftel to hang a door we had on our side porch. The opening is not even or symmetrical so we wanted a skilled carpenter to do the job. We provided the hinges and the door. In St. Paul, older homes often have a slant or slope in areas where the foundation settled. At the start of the job, Steve said he had never done a job like ours before, which was questionable, considering he markets himself as a skilled carpenter.

The process took longer than expected, but the results were worth the wait. Beautiful finished work, looks like the original wood. Spent time making sure all areas around the house were taken care of, even areas that I had not noticed as rotted. Offered to fill in gaps in the foundation with caulk along with the repairs for no extra charge. Took the time to move the patio furniture back in to place after each day they worked. Attention to detail was great!

Steve brought in Kevin and he did a wonderful job. With out a doubt it is now better than new. I have some construction experience myself but it would have taken me a week to do what he did in a couple of days. Obvisously the project took more than the four hour Angieslist special, but the bid was fair for the additional work. There was a lot of rot to cut out and a lot of the new framing had to be ripped to fit in. Keven had a special stud cutter that I have never seen before, and I thought I knew my tools. The final look is great. The original construction never included treated wood, cedar nor redwood (even though I have redwood siding). Kevin used brown/green treated and cedar exclusively. He added some aluminium drip edge too (in multiple places). Had the original design had this I probably wouldn't have ever had a problem. The next home owners should thank me (and Kevin). There was problem over the 4hour deal not getting communicated to Kevin, and thus not included in his bid. But all was made good when Kevin came out the next day to work the four hours on more rot repair work. Initially I told Kevin to save that work for me, but I am glad he did it rather than me. There are reasons why I am not a carpenter. Kevin knows his stuff (and his tools)! I would recommend this outfit and use them again.

I bought the 4 hours of wood rot restoration for $149 package on March 30th. Steve contacted me the day after and we agreed on a date and time a few weeks out. This was fine with me (I am always wary of contractors who have people available the next day!) The guy arrived promptly and I showed him the work that I wanted done. He did a really nice job on all of it and cleaned up very well. I plan on getting in touch with Steve again to have him give me an estimate for a wooden porch overhang that we need to replace an older one that we had to remove.

Went very well. He was done in a very short amount of time. Was able to work with the range hood I bought in spite of it not having the cord included, which I didn't know when I purchased it. He used the cord from the microwave instead.

He had to call an electrician to restore the power to the refrigerator. He did make those arrangements and never requested payment for them. He did not take old fixtures and I had to ask him to clean up and put them in the garage.

The work was done properly and to my satisfaction. The only reason to get a B instead of an A is the delay between purchase and actual work (it was over a month). Steve explained to me that the reason was due to the overwhelming demand for the Deal we purchased, and I understand that, but that is what drops the service from an A to a B. All other aspects of the job were done to my satisfaction and I would consider using his services again.

They were responsive in setting up the appt, came on time and did the work. The cabinets are fine. The owner was quiet and not particularly friendly to work with; his associate was very friendly.

This deal was absolutely worth the price - Steve removed a section of decking that was rotting because it was attached to a raised garden. He hauled away all of the debris. The deck looks much better and the "fix" blends in very well.

Making appointment was easy. Showed up on time. Worked performed very quick. I purchased 4 man hours of the service but they were done in 2 man hours, missed couple spots as they were running out of wood filler. OK to use for some quick minor repairs, but the quality of work is so so.

Steve did a nice job of all the repairs he was hired to do and was open to taking on most any of the jobs I suggested. He repaired my gutters which were leaking by caulking broken seams and screwing in the gutters. The recent heavy rains were a true test to the quality of his work, and they held up beautifully. No more flooding in my basement due to leaky gutters and downspouts. I was very pleased with Steve's work, punctuality, and willingness to repair the various things I asked him to do.

It was very clean, he delivered the staff and put it where its supposed to be and he is coming back tomorrow, there is more work to be done. I am presuming he will work for the rest of the landscaping as well as the wood rot,they get a plus for being very neat and coming on time, they are coming back tomorrow so i will use them in future.

They were very congenial. Neat. Competent. Easy to confer with regarding the best way to solve the decking issues.

Bought Deal for 2 hrs of handyman service - got 2 hours of work, but expected a bit more would be completed within that timeframe. Overall - was OK price for the work completed. I would use again if available at another special price point.

$59 for two hours of handyman services (big deal), plus additional time. Installed 2 new light fixtures, moved another one. Troubleshooting of faulty lighting. Couldn't do it all in 2 hours, so some additional charge. Still very reasonable for the time. Had to schedule out more than a month in advance. Wasn't able to fix faulty recessed lighting, but did a great job with other light fixture installations.

It was good. I have no complaints. He is a nice guy and easy to work with.

He did a good job including priming the wood that was replaced.

That service was fine and it covered basic handyman services. He was thorough and he was gone after about 3.5 hours, but that was okay, because he did what I needed him to do. He replaced an overhead light. He fixed a smoke alarm and repaired and electrical outlet.

They were wonderful to work with. They were prompt and they did a very nice job. We would recommend them.
