Customer satisfaction comes from working closely with SAWHILL to define your needs and looking at options to specify exactly what you want. It's even more important to find a service expert that can gently tell you when you are making a bad decision (looks nice but poor quality, high quality but not the right style, etc) and recommend reasonable alternatives. I have worked with Michal Crosby (Michal Crosby Interiors) in three different homes and trust her advice in selecting designs that are timeless and materials that last the test of time. Michal Crosby worked with Sue Palmquist to review the initial designs for the master closet and they made excellent suggestions to optimize the space and ensure an elegant, clean look to the design. Sue really listened to my needs and she translated these needs into the design. Sue was highly responsive in providing updates/options. Those 'do-it-yourself' stores and large showrooms can be overwhelming and it's difficult for consumers to know which product looks good and will last. Michal Crosby and Sue Palmquist were the right experts that helped me to quickly select quality kitchen/bath fixtures that had proven performance at the right price point (not the most expensive ones!) and fit the style of my home. Rick Lyrek (Closets for Life) used the initial master closet measurements and validated them to ensure that the construction and installation of the master closet was perfect. His work quality is outstanding! Rich Leebans is a master carpenter and he was ingenious in finding the most efficient method to adjust ductwork and install a new bath fan while minimizing construction and ensuring that we complied with current building codes. Rich does stellar work and he ensured that all construction areas were pristinely cleaned afterwards. Thank you!

Delays of granite countertops caused them to try to save time by installing tile backsplash first.Tiles installed crooked, and their first attempt to fix was to cut the granite backsplash crooked to match. After complaint by us, tile was removed and reinstalled, and new granite was cut.When plumbing installed in sink, a leak caused water damage to ceiling on lower level.A carelessly applied wash of finish was smeared over the bulk of the cabinet surfaces, leaving a very poor appearance. Difficulties with the refrigerator called to their attention were dismissed and ultimately we paid a significant restocking charge to have the unit replaced.ADDENDUM:We felt the length of time plus the problems we had were completely unexpected by the caliber of company let alone the price we paid for the work done.We felt our situation was misrepresented to the BBB, and asked for reimbursement of about 50% of our estimated out of pocket cost.
