From start to finish our experience with Steve and his crew was wonderful. Steve was friendly and really seemed to care just as much about the quality of work done as the crew’s wellbeing. The work was done when they said it would be. I would 100% recommend Royal Restoration’s Inc for any of your roofing/gutter needs.

One night we were in bed asleep and heard a big boom, a tree limb had broken off and crashed onto our roof. The tree company we had used recommended Royal Restorations because they work well with the insurance companies. When the insurance person came out to examine the roof Royal Restorations was there to concur or tell what else was needed to fix things. The insurance company and Royal Restorations worked well together to come to an agreement on what was going to be paid for by the insurance company and what was covered on our end. They did an excellent job. We had to wait a little bit to get the gutters done but it was worth the wait. It worked out very nicely. It wasn't a rushed job or a botched job. It took a month to a month and a half to get everything done but when it was done it was worth the wait. They always used the best team to do that job.
Description of Work: Complete re-roofing, gutters, and downspouts. They did the house and the garage. They also put a new skylight in the garage because they could not re-use the old one.

Steve is amazingly detail-oriented and professional. When he provided an estimate it was hands-down the most detailed of the 6 quotes that we got and he made a point of going through everything with us. When it came time to do the job he was in touch every day giving constant updates. When issues were identified during the job, he communicated promptly and attended to the issues personally. His team was just as dedicated as they worked on the roof from 8 AM until it was too dark to work any more. They even came on a Saturday to finish up a few last things. It took a little over 2 days and looks great. The clean up was thorough (haven't found a single nail) and Steve took care of the warranty submission and inspection seamlessly. I would definitely use Royal Restoration again!

The crew showed up on time as scheduled and the dumpster and roofing materials had been delivered the prior day. Steve Gahm (owner) kept us informed throughout the process as to what to expect and was there both days to provide general supervision of the project. The crew doing the actual work had their own supervisor and we were amazed at the efficiency and professionalism of the entire crew. As unforseen problems were encountered Steve discussed with us the issue and the solution. We knew going in that there were likely decking issues and in the final analysis most of the decking was replaced as the original decking was delaminating and was only 3/8and quot; as opposed to 1/2and quot; which was used as a replacment. Several rafters needed to be shored up as well. Consequently, the project was more costly than we would have liked but the price was fair based on what needed to be done. Steve gave us the option on replacing the decking and we opted to spend the additional funds to correct the deficiencies in the roof. The original quote had a provision for replacing decking (on a per sheet basis). Before entering into a contract, Steve spent quite a bit of time with us discussing the options for a new roof and assisted us in submitting a class action settlement claim for a roof that was installed in 1998 and which failed miserably. I am a retired finance professional so am detailed beyond belief and Steve and the installation crew met, or exceeded, my expectations. I only rated price as and quot;goodand quot; as I'm sure we could have obtained a cheaper bid but the old saying applies: and quot;you get what you pay forand quot;. In the final analysis I suppose the price is and quot;excellentand quot; because of the end result. As an added note, approximately $3,200 of the project related to decking replacement and carpentry work.

Do - We shopped around and got bids for the work from no less than seven contractors. This enabled us to pick the best contractor for the job we needed to have down.
Description of Work: Royal Restoration tore off the old roof, repaired damage to the roof, closed off old vent holes, and re-set nails, or added nails where needed, to ensure that the plywood was down and properly fastened. After repairing the plywood they laid an ice and water shield six feet up from the edge. After passing the first building inspection (required in Apple Valley) they commence to finish the 30# felt (tar paper) the rest of the roof. They began to lay the shingles (6 nails per) and moved up the roof from the four corners at a quick pace. When they got to the peak of the roof they made the cuts to install the ridge vent. Royal Restoration replaced all of the flashing and edging, and the fairings around the stacks and vents. The last thing they did was to install proper chutes in the attic to ensure the proper flow of air from the soffit to the ridge vent. They cleaned up very well and in the months since the project was completed we have found less than a handful of roofing debris. We are very pleased with the finished job and have had no issues with the roof. We would have them back in a moment to work on our roof.

Steve Gahm (owner) walked me through all of the options needed to update my newly purchased 1956 rambler home. I had been renting for the past 25 years, so had little experience with all the choices that had to made, starting with a dual fireplace chimney and its spalling bricks. I had the chimney rebuilt from the roof line up by another firm and Royal Restoration was there two days later to replace the roof and install the chimney flashing. The chimney guys were familiar with this sequence and had installed temporary flashing for weather protection. The Marvin windows were ordered and Royal Restoration had arranged to have the wood interiors pre-finished to my specifications prior to delivery. Upon delivery of the windows, the siding crew arrived and removed the old siding and began installing the builders felt (my preference over plastic) housewrap. The windows crew arrived and followed the siding crew around the house removing the old windows and installing the new windows as the housewrap was installed. The windows and doors were installed within two days. Each window/door was removed and replaced before moving on to the next window/door. The siding crew had some serious snow and cold weather that delayed the siding/soffit/fascia installation for a few days, but the house wrapping was completed regardless of the weather. Once the siding crew completed its work, the seamless gutters and downspouts were installed in matter of hours. It’s only been one year, but the oversized gutters (2 and frac34;”) are large enough that leaves, twigs, etc. wash right out and down. I went up this fall (we had some severe winds this summer) to see how much cleaning was going to be needed and found that all the storm debris on my roof hadn’t gathered in my gutters. They were clean as a whistle. Steve was here daily to check on progress during the entire process. He called frequently to answer any questions I might have and/or to discuss any issues that developed as the work progressed. Steve always returned my calls promptly when I had questions or requests. There were no surprises, the finished costs were exactly as quoted even though Royal Restoration made several enhancements at my request including some border bands that enhanced the appearance of the interface between the lap siding and the board and batten siding. Royal Restoration has stopped by several times since the work was completed to ensure my satisfaction with the work and to ensure that there are no problems that I might fail to detect. All in all, Steve and Royal Restoration did an excellent job. My house looks wonderful, I get lots of compliments from my friends and neighbors and I’ll have very little if any exterior maintenance for the next decade or two.
