Wanted to have a broken (cracked-wood) cabinet door repaired. Called River Valley because of Angie's List ratings and business location; left a message. I received a return call within two days. Owner apologetically explained he didn't do that work and couldn't immediately think of someone who might, but would contact me if he did find one. I did not receive a further call, but wasn't expecting one.

I am delighted with my experience with River Valley Woodworks and the outcome. Most cabinet refacers use fronts that they buy from large commercial cabinet shops. Dewey made mine in his shop which allowed me a wide choice of stains and options. He was easy to work with, had good suggestions, and really aimed to please. Because these are custom, and he runs a one man shop, it will take longer to complete the job but I believe it is worth it. With no showroom or sales staff, he is able to offer very good pricing. I saw another kitchen in progress where he built some complete cabinets and hutch - the owner was also a happy customer. I'm sure I'll use him again as I'm in the process of buying a new home although I hate to leave my now beautiful kitchen thanks to the Granite Kings and River Valley Woodworks.
