Their bid was $1,000 more than the other companies, so we decided not to use them.

The asphalt work itself and the preparation for it was excellent. The steps maybe weren't exactly what I wanted. I had drawn up a plan for what I wanted it to look like. It is quality work though. They did leave some mess behind in the lawn also. The guy who started the work for the driveway was really a great guy.

On time, fast, perfect results, excellent clean up after words, no damage to surrounding property on plants, excellent per job adviser.

Tim worked with the homeowners and their landscape designer/installer to get a functional driveway that drained away from the house and new hardscape. Tim staked out driveway elevations in the fall of 2007 and installed new driveway in the spring of 2008, accommodating the home owner's personal calendar.

Tom made very accurate measurements of the driveway. He also recommended we replace a sidewalk that was sunken that we had not noticed before. We appreciated his advice but decided to go with a lower bid.

John was pleasant and professional even though he responded to my request a couple of days later. He measured the driveway and sent me via mail a detailed estimate. However, his estimate is higher than two other companies.

Was told it would be 2 weeks before starting. 2 days later, I was called at 7:15 a.m. and was told excavation would start in 1 hour. I hadn't even gotten the mail from them describing the process, but had checked their web side. Excavation was done well. Estimate had included replacement cap blocks since we had a couple depressed areas at the top of driveway, but upon excavation the blocks were fine. Then got a call Sunday evening that paving would be Monday, so I had to empty front part of garage and get hose set up. Asked about cap blocks and was told they would be deducted. Paving job was done very well. I had requested the black finish on the AsphaltEdge, but they brought regular aluminum finish. Went ahead and had it installed - owner called me and apologized for the mix-up. Final bill still had cap blocks on, so had to call and again and got an apology and was told to ignore that cost. High quality job, but not great communication on timing or some details. $150 neighbor discount

They did an excellent job in all they did. They paid attention to minutest detail and were friendly, courteous and even came back to fix a chipped piece of concrete that I discovered after the work was done.

They were absolutely fantastic! Notified the utility to locate the underground utitilies for me. Did an excellent job excavating the old concrete drive which was a big job. Upfront about all of the expenses that could be involved. Graded the driveway before laying the blacktop and did a beautiful job putting down the new asphalt. The crew was attentive and courteous. I felt like I was getting very personal attention and that they cared about my project. They also were very good about keeping on schedule.

The estimator came out on time, was very friendly, helpful in describing the work they would do, and offered a couple different options. We decided to go with another company for a concrete apron.

Excellent quality of work. The company worked with the city regarding a confusing required set-back where 4 properties came together. Also helped us solve some very tricky drainage questions.

They did a very nice job. I was perfect. I said I couldn't refer them because they brought a child to the job. That was not a safe environment for a child.

MY INITIAL CALL WAS PLEASANT. A REP CAME OUT AND I ASKED FOR AN ESTIMATE FOR AN ALLEY DRIVEWAY THAT PRESENTLY HAS SOME CLASS 5 MATERIAL AND WEEDS. I ALSO ASKED ABOUT WHETHER AS ANOTHER OPTION THEY WOULD DIG IT OUT, FILL WITH CLASS 5 AND A GRAVEL OF MY CHOICE. HE GAVE AN ESTIMATE OF 1995 FOR THE ASPHALT AND 750 + 150 FOR A TRUCK AND GRAVEL. I DECIDED TO DO THE ASPHALT AND CALLED HIS CELL TO ASK FOR THE COST ABOUT A STRIP THAT WAS PART OF MY NEIGHBOR'S PROPERTY BUT THE CALL HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED. IT'S NOW BEEN 2 DAYS. IF THE CALL ISN'T RETURNED BY TOMORROW, I WILL HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY.

WE RECEIVED A VERY COMPETITIVE BID FROM DAN, BUT WERE A BIT UNEASY WITH HIS PROPOSAL FOR WHERE TO SEND RAIN RUNOFF (I.E., INTO BACK NEIGHBOR'S YARD). IN THE END, WE WENT WITH A COMPETITOR WHOSE PROPOSAL PROVIDED A MORE ATTRACTIVE SOLUTION-THOUGH ADMITTEDLY ONE THAT RICHFIELD PROBABLY COULDN'T HAVE PERFORMED ANYWAY: IT INVOLVED SOME NON-ASPHALT LANDSCAPING. DAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND PUNCTUAL.

VERY RESPONSIVE. CAME BACK A SECOND TIME FOR A DIFFERENT BID WITH NO COMPLAINTS. GOT THE JOB DONE IN 3 DAYS!! AMAZING. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. THEY DID 3 OTHER DRIVEWAYS IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD.
