Jeff did a great job on the floors. The most complicated part of the job was matching the refinished floor with the part of the floor that was simply re-coated; the seam between the two parts of the job ran through the middle of the dining room, and we had never been happy with the previous staining job (done by another company approx. 7 years ago)--the seam was really obvious. Now the floors all match really well and the finish is perfect. Jeff was very easy to work with, had a good price, his employees who we met the morning the job started seemed great, etc. He also gave us very practical advice about re-coating the portions of the floor that are high traffic like the kitchen every 3 years. We chose Jeff over another company with an identical rating after a complete read of all their respective reviews--Jeff had virtually no negatives, while the other guy had numerous comments about how something bad happened but he stepped right up and fixed it. This was the right call.

Renewed did an excellent job re-finishing our hardwood floors. We found Jim to be very responsive to our initial and follow-up calls; they did the re-finishing job with minimal dust; and the end result was great. We would highly recommend Renewed Hardwood Floors to anyone needing to re-finish their hardwood floors.

Jeff Kroh, the owner, came out quickly and provided us with a very reasonable estimate of the work and an explanation of each step of the process. He was very professional, personable, and knowledgeable in answering all of our questions and provided helpful suggestions and options. Jeff and his team completed their work on time with minimal interruption to our schedule. We were pleasantly surprised at how careful they were to minimize the amount of dust during installation and they cleaned everything up and removed all debris at the end of the job. Jeff even made a special trip back out to install a wood vent under the kitchen cabinet we forgot about and he did it at no additional cost. Bottomline, we love our new hardwood floors and they look beautiful!! Jeff and his team did a great job and we highly recommend them to our friends and would definitely work with them again.

I got several bids to refinish 513 sq ft of floors and stairs (13 risers and landing) in my 1909 house. Jeff's bid was comparable with other bids ($3/sq ft). I went with him because when he came to the house to do the on site bid he told me right off the bat not to do the stair risers. He said he could match the treads to the risers and it would save us money. He also told me not to worry about moving the kitchen appliances out. He could work around them. And he could accommodate our schedule. The actual work was done by his employee James, who was prompt, courteous, and skilled. I am more than satisfied with the work. We had just had the walls painted and Jeff assured me that there would be no sanding dust on the walls. He was right. Work performed was excellent. Jeff also accurately estimated how long the work would take. He told me 4-5 days and I was back in the house on the 5th day. I appreciate Renewed Hardwood Floors professionalism.

The job went wonderfully! Jeff bid the job, but Brandon performed the actual work. Originally, they had planned on 3 coats of the high traffic finish, but Brandon called me once the third coat was on and explained a portion of the floor didn't turn out the way he wanted. He said he would like to come back out in a week and put a fourth coat on so that the floor would meet his own standards of a job well done. Brandon kept his word and came back a week later to place that 4th coat. Now that the floor has been sanded, sealed, and finished in place as one whole unit, it cleans up with just a flick of a duster. There are no more cracks to hold dirt and grime! Its like a different floor now and I'm so glad I didn't tear it out! For just slightly more than the cost of tearing it out, Jeff and Brandon not only saved my floor, they made it better than it ever was to begin with!

Great. They were flexible and accommodating in setting up a schedule that suited our plans. The work done was excellent and the clean-up was also outstanding. We had agreed on a price, but in the mean time they advertised a $50 discount -- which they applied to our price even though we hadn't made the request.

Jeff responded quickly to our initial inquiry and visited the next night, after work hours to provide estimate. He was able to provide estimate very quickly, in about 5 minutes, and offered a few suggestions on improving the look of the floor (what type of sheen to use, how to fill cracks between boards). We immediately got the impression that Jeff knew what he was talking about. There was no sales pitch on fancy poly's, etc. to use. He was straight forward and fair with the pricing and gave responses to all of our questions. You could tell he was not going to 'nickle and dime' us for the work. We liked this quite a bit. Jeff had the best bid, so we asked him if we could do the work the next week (we were going out of town). He worked within our schedule, and picked up the key on a Saturday morning. We returned a week later and we almost cried because the floors were so beautiful. Everything was clean, there was no dust or residue. I would give Jeff a strong recommendation.

I can't rave enough about Jeff's work. The actual sanding of the 65-year-old red oak floors was done by Doug. And he made an excellent job of turning a very sad-looking, stained, marked floor into a work of art. With 3 coats of polyurethane to finish. Jeff had a carpenter build the stairs, and the job was done in a day, and very nicely. Jeff came back after the rest of the job was done to add reducers around the fireplace and in doorways, and the result is fabulous. In addition, Jeff is a very nice guy to work with, punctual, hard-working and flexible. I'd hire him again in an instant.

Jeff is great. This is the second Job that renewed has done for us. He was able to put us on his schedule when it was good for us. He always showed up on time, and the crews left the place as neat as they found it.

He recommended tearing out the existing floor and replacing with new because there was so much water damage. We thought the price for new flooring was fair, but decided to go with another type of flooring instead.

Our phone call for an estimate was returned promptly and the appointment was set up for the next day which was great; we wanted to gather all of our quotes in a timely manner so we could make a decision on the flooring in the kitchen. The visit was very quick, 10 minutes at the most. The estimate was very competitive but it was a little unnerving because the visit was so quick. However, we would have chosen this company had we decided to put in the floor based on the price and other reviews that had been written on Angie's List.

Prompt response to calls. Did the work when scheduled. Floors look great. Very little dust.

We're very pleased with the work Renewed did. Jeff gave an accurate and informed estimate, and the crew he sent to do the work was on time and very professional. The floors all look beautiful.

Jeff was on time, very polite and reasonably priced but I ended up going with a company that had done work in my house previously, and had given me a better price.

He assessed the floor and decided it should not be sanded, the water invaded the wood too and caused some initial warping, and would eventually get worse. He said his company does sanding and refinishing, and replacing (custom) floating flooring is not something his company does very often. He thought we should get a specialist. He took a pass on the job. He was very professional, very nice, and honest.

Jeff and his crew were so nice to work with. Work was done at my Mother's home. She has been there 61 yrs. and these floors had not been done since the house was built in 1947. In some rooms we removed carpeting and tile prior to the work being done. I was surprised that Jeff was able to remove tar left by the old tiles and also black paint in another room. He also replaced some boards at no extra charge. These floors are absolutely beautiful! Jeff and his crew arrived on time and were very courteous to my mother. Jeff comes Highly recommended!

They were on time for the appointment to estimate the work. They were able to schedule the work within two weeks from when they did the estimate. They showed up on time each of the three days they were working in my home. They were easy to have around.

Prompt and comprehensive first visit to give quote. Their price was 25% better than my contractor had quoted. They arrived on time each day (three total). Very courteous and neat crew. They did a wonderful job. It looks great! No complaints. Plus they did a terrific job of keeping the dust contained and cleaned up. I gave the crew a tip at the end because I was so pleased.
