Jeff did an outstanding job. Our wooden floors have never looked this good (including when we bought our house). The workmanship is perfect. We left our home open to Jeff while we were out of town. He left our home clean and took the care to further remove closet hardware and doors, taped off entry and exits to protect carpeting to ensure a perfect job. I can't recommend this company enough. I am very impressed and the cost is very reasonable as well.

I had dreaded the prospect of this repair, thinking it was going to be a complicated, messy and expensive project. Jeff with Renewed Hardwood Floors responded quickly, knew exactly what to do, completed the work quickly and returned at a later date with a new wood floor vent stained to match the existing floor perfectly. His charge of $50 for this work was more than reasonable!! He has given me an estimate for refinishing our maple kitchen floor and there is no doubt that I will hire him for this job after the holidays. Highly recommended.

My husband and I liked Jeff from the moment he arrived to bid on the job. It was clear that he is passionate about wood and loves his job. He was flexible to our ever changing schedule, even coming on weekends to make it work. The quality of the wood and refinishing could not be beat. We had heard stories about nicks and swirl marks, our floors look amazing. Jeff was also great with color, working to make the new wood match the old. We were so happy with Renewed Hardwood, I don't think we would trust our floors to anyone else. Thank you Jeff!

On the first day, Ulysses arrived to tell us that the fellow who was scheduled to do our job "no longer worked with the company." Ulysses was working at another site but promised to fit our job in - extending the work about a week out. He was very accommodating and even came on the weekend to finish up on time. After he applied the final coat he closed the door to the hallway and bedrooms and told me it should be dry the next day. Later that day I discovered that one of the dogs was missing and opened the door to find her running back and forth in the hallway. Little footprints running into the bedroom. Not Ulysses fault - we didn't know it either, but the latch on that door doesn't hold - one little push and it opens. Ulysses came back the next day and examined the floor - footprints in the bedroom were no longer showing, but there were plenty of footsteps in the hallway. He sanded a bit and then applied another coat. It looks great. All the floors look beautiful - you would never know how bad they looked beforehand. The new floor in the kitchen matches the older floor beautifully.

Jeff and helper did a great job. Floor repair, sanding and finishing took 4 days, just as Jeff said it would. He was efficient, knowledgeable and answered all my questions in a friendly and straightforward manner (just as I would expect from a guy from North Dakota.) On time and professional. He appeared to be very knowledgeable and efficient. His bid was more than 10% lower than others for the identical work. I am very pleased with the result of this project!

Jeff was amazingly responsive from the bid given in July to a final touch up done a couple of weeks after the floor was finished. His workers were equally friendly and professional. Jeff understood our desire to keep the existing flooring and suggested a transition strip between the kitchen & sun room areas and the new flooring. This consists of a narrow strip of black walnut on both sides of a wider maple strip. The transition strip was also laid around our fireplace hearth and at our entry just off the ceramic tile. The floor itself that was put in is at a 45 degree angle so again it doesn't look like we're trying to match the existing area. Office floor was done in walnut. Jeff and crew carefully taped and put plastic up to minimize dust. They were great about cleaning up as they went. Though I'm glad to be finished with the project, our floors are beautiful!! The cost was far less than bids we had from other companies and much more creative. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Jeff was great from start to finish. He returned my call promptly, came over for to give a quote, started the job on time and when he was done our floors looked great. There was one spot where the poly didn't get spread evenly and we called Jeff to let him know. The next day he came over to fix it - no questions asked.

We bought a 1928 home, and wanted to refinish the hardwood floors on the stairs and second floor that had had carpet covering them for years. We had a short window to do the work prior to moving in. Jeff was flexible in the timing to come out and give us a bid, and was able to meet us the day we closed on the house to start to rip out the carpet. He and his crew scraped and sanded the floors, removed a TON of staples from the stairs, and matched the stain from the first floor. We are so pleased with the results - they are beautiful. Jeff also recommended buffing and re-coating the first floor hardwoods to repair some worn patches, and to give them an even finish. They look great too, and he gave us a very reasonable price. He was done a day early, and came back for the final walk through, and did a few touch ups and even added a missing shoe to the base of the stairs. He is a perfectionist, and takes great pride in his work. He was a pleasure to work with, and we would highly recommend him for any hardwood work required.

This was a very nice experience. Both Jeff, the owner, and the crew were nice to work with. We had an unexpected wood-rot, and they were able to replace the floor promptly. I'll be rehiring them in the near future.

On time for the quote, no dust in the process, very careful in protecting carpet in the area. Very,very satisfied. Would use adain in a minute.

Jeff looked at the floor and told me what I have is a thin veneer on top of something else, and it's not repairable. He showed me one place where the veneer had worn completely through. I apologized for calling him out to my house under the circumstances. He was good-natured about it. As long as he was there, I showed him the solid wood floor in another room, and asked him about what it would cost to refinish that, a job I may want done in the future. It's a small room, maybe 90 sq. feet, and he would have to charge a minimum,. making the cost per sq. foot higher than what he would charge for a larger job. Other than that minimum, the price per sq. foot seemed very reasonable, and I don't blame him for having a minimum. In future, I may decide to have 2 or 3 rooms done, in which case I will call him.

He was wonderful. Timely return of phone calls, final bill equal to original estimate, project even started/finished a day ahead of schedule. I would hire him again in a minute!

We had really high hopes, but were disappointed overall. Initially, we thought everything was okay, in spite of some strange happenings during the work itself. Jeff and his employee got into a major shouting match the last day they were working on our house (which they took outside, shocking our neighbors a bit...), and things went downhill from there. The work was mostly as expected, but the longer we look at the floors, the more issues we see. We felt like they left in a hurry, without making sure that everything was done/done right. We had to call Jeff to get him to come back to finish the spot where the new floor meets the rug in the hallway; they hadn't installed a transition piece, so we just had a raggedy rug edge meeting the unfinished edge wood floor piece. Other things were left hanging, too - they unscrewed a phone jack from a baseboard and didn't reattach it, so now we have this crazy plastic doohicky w/ a bunch of wires hanging from our wall and no idea how to reattach it. We've also found an ~18 x 5 inch strip of the floor that looks like it was not finished, and one spot where it looks like extra finish was spilled. We had initially planned to have Renewed Hardwood Floors work on some other floors in our house, but I think we're going to have to go in another direction for future work. It's just too expensive to have to do a bunch of follow-up work to make sure you get the quality you expected and what you've paid for. If I can figure out how to submit pictures, I will add them to this report.

Jeff did a fantastic job and his price was very competitive. Our floors look awesome! He was professional, came out promptly for a bid, did the work as agreed, and even offered to help us move our furniture back when the job was completed. Highly recommended, and we would definitely use him again.

Jeff was a delight to work with. He kept every appointment made in connection with the project - from time of first appointment through completion - always on schedule. The area being refinished, a kitchen, was sealed off so well that the messy tear out and subsequent sanding did not dirty the remainder of the house. Every aspect of the project was performed beautifully - leaving us with a very beautiful kitchen floor - just what the room needed to complete the rehab project! Thanks Jeff!

We couldn't have been more pleased with the work done. They were very thorough and did their work for thousands less than all other quotes. They obviously knew their job very well. They came back after the work was done to be sure we were satisfied. I have already recommended them to 3 people who have seen our floors and asked for their number.

Jeff and his team are fantastic. Their prices are outstanding and the work was completed on time. The finished product was better than expected and there was absolutely no mess or smell. I will definitely use them again.

We searched high and low for a company to refinish our hardwood floors and we simply liked Jeff the best. As first time home owners, we have never been through this process and we appreciated his willingness to answer questions and can-do attitude. We found it a slight inconvenience that Jeff himself did not perform the service but we understand that most companies operate this way. The only "problem" was that some things we discussed with Jeff got lost in translation with the worker that performed the job. Nothing major, it was just a blip in communication. As a first time homeowner I am still getting used to the idea of people being in my house without me being there. I have to say, we had a great experience and zero problems with people locking up behind themselves. The floors look great and I would recommend this company to anyone!

The floors all look absolutely beautiful! We're really, really happy with the final product. Jeff's estimate was the lowest, and the quality of the work they do is top notch. He was also very responsive to all of our questions; he always responded very promptly and thoroughly. We would definitely recommend and use him again.

Jeff came out to give me an estimate and came in quite a bit lower than his competition. We had two rooms where we'd already removed carpet, staples and tacking strips ourselves. The floors were original redwood oak from when the house was built in the 1930s. Jeff took a look at the floors and gave me an estimate. He was able to schedule for the following week. They sanded, and applied 3 coats of an oil based poly. The work was done on time and the floors look great. There were a few deep stains in the wood, they did the best job they could trying to remove, there's still a bit lingering, but easily covered with an area run. My only advice if you use this provider is to talk to them in advance about any deep stains, I wish I had. They did an excellent job on the edges of the floors and underneath our radiators. For this price, this company is well worth using, many of their competitors are charging double.

Jeff Kroh was very responsive. I talked to him many times to figure out how long the project would take, if we needed to be out of the house during that time, and with questions relating to staining. James was the individual who did most of the work. He worked hard and did a nice job. The floors looked great.

A beautiful job. James completed the job on time and with perfection. He is professional, hardworking and a great communicator. I would use this company again without hesitation.

The company set up a date to refinish the floors on the first call. They finished the floors while we were on vacation. The work was detailed and the house was left secure and clean.

They did a lot of extra work because of the amount of nails in the floor and the floors turned out beautiful. James helped us pick out a cherry stain that looks great with the other woodwork throughout the house. It was a pleasure working with both Jeff and James.

Jeff Kroh met with me the week before to provide the estimate and take actual dimensions. He was there the first day and last day. Two guys completed the sanding on Day 1, and one of the guys came back the next two days to apply the 2nd and 3rd coats of the oil based polyurethane. Everything turned out great. I would highly recommend this contractor. They were the lowest price of the 3 contractors I contacted.
