Having Jeff and his crew work with us was great. We had gotten a bid from him in the winter over 3 months ago and although we were not able to complete the work until the start of June, he still honored the bid. This job was also a lot more intensive than installing regular wood since some of the pieces were not milled well since the wood itself was reclaimed. We all found this out once the job had already started. Yet, he still respected the price quoted, even though it was more work than anticipated. The job was not as messy and dusty as I had assumed, either. They used vacuums and sanders with bags to catch all the dust and sawdust. Jeff put on an extra coat of the oil coating since the wood absorbed much more than anticipated (perhaps from being old barn wood) at no extra charge. In the end, it is a very elegant looking rustic reclaimed floor, even more striking than anticipated!

Our experience with them was really good. They did a really good job. I would use them again.

It went very well. They came to our house and gave us a quote right away. There quote was slightly cheaper than the others that we had recieved. They were very careful to match the finish with the hardwood floors that we had in the hall way. They kept the work space very clean. Other than the slight odor of the oil based finish (which is completely unavoidable) we couldn't even tell they had been in our house. I was a bit worried about dust being throughout our home, but they did a great job and I didn't notice any dust anywhere. Great job.

Renewed Hardwood Floors did an excellent job and were able to seamlessly fit their work within the schedules of other contractors doing work in the same rooms. Jeff was responsive to our questions about expected color and appearance and worked to allay concerns we expressed. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

Jeff did a great job; he came quickly for an estimate and the turnaround time to actually do the work was just a couple of weeks. He did it in a schedule which was when I was out of town and all the pets were boarded. The floors look fabulous, better than I had even anticipated. I just keep looking down on them because they are so smooth and beautiful. The grain in the wood is just amazing. The other thing he gets credit for is that I was expecting to come home to a place full of dust and I have not found much, if any; maybe just a teensy bit but it is just fabulous so excellent job; I would highly recommend Jeff at Hardwood Floors to anyone.

After receiving the quote I called them and setup the install for 03/20/12. They informed me that they would drop off the wood on 03/16/12 so it would acclimate to my house. They showed up on 03/16/12 with the wood as promised. However, when they showed up they informed me that they had to increase the price of the job. The total was now going to be $1260. This is over twice the original quote. They informed me that the wood was more than expected at about $2.70 per square foot. That is somewhat understandable and I did not have a written estimate for that. But they they also wanted to increase the labor cost to $900 (double the original) even though I had a written quote from them for $450. I offered to pay them a total of $900 (which I think is still wrong but I wanted to get the work done). They would not do it for less than $1260. They had no reason to double the price of the labor two weeks after giving me the written quote. I refused the service and am now trying to find a new company to install the floors. I would recommend staying away from this company. There seems to be communication problems between the employees and they do not stick to their word.

Jeff was very professional and did great work. He gave good suggestions for completion. It was done on schedule which we appreciated. We would definitely hire him again. We have more hardwood floors to be re-finished and he is the person that will we call.

Renewed Hardwood Floors is a great company. They were on schedule and did a great job. My new hardwood floors look great! I would recommend them to anyone. One minus is that they did not haul away the old carpet and even left bags of wood bits and pieces for us to trash which was inconvenient. Also it was not clearly discussed in the beginning so my expectation was for them to take their trash.

Jeff did our floors over Christmas holiday so we were not home. When we did get home, there was very very little dust. I was surprised at how clean our house was!

The owner's name is Jeff Kroh. I got an Angie's List discount. I liked the services. He was very straightforward. He gave a good estimate. It came exactly what his estimate was. All the timeframe he set for the sanding project was exactly on the timeframe for how it was. The workers cleaned up nicely. They did a very good job. They were very competitive with their bid. I had two other bids, and he was the lowest.

Jeff arrived on time for the estimate and was informative and professional. His bid was 15-25% under the other 2 bids I got. Was flexible on a start date to allow for other work to be completed first. Took the expected 3 days, results were great and Jeff installed a custom threshold between 2 uneven surfaces, I will recommend and use Jeff in the future.

Overall Renewed was very responsive, skilled in replacing and easy to deal with. Their prices were better than I expected, and they were efficient, clean and good to have around.

They did an excellent job, my floors look fantastic. We signed a contract and decided on the start date, which was out a few weeks. They showed up on the agreed to date at the exact time. That for me was the start of a great working relationship. Everyday they showed up for work at the agreed to time. They made sure to install barriers around the area they were working to reduce the amount of dust going to other areas of the house. They cleaned up every day before leaving. Jeff told me what to expect as far as noise, dust or smells. They completed the project within the agreed to timeline. On the final day we did a walk through and it was very obvious that Jeff takes great pride in his work and it shows in the results. I got three estimates for this job, all from Angie list companies. Renewed gave me the best price. I am glad I selected them and would highly recommend them.

Jeff was great! Responsive to my phone contact, prompt about returning calls. Showed up when he said he would, explained everything well. We planned to prepare the floor for him, to minimize our costs, by removing the existing carpet and tacks. We were unpleasantly surprised at how difficult some of the residue under the carpet was to remove, and we could not remove it all as we had planned so we were concerned about increased costs. Jeff was not phased. He offered to cover the extra work he had not bid on by applying our Angie's List discount, which we thought was quite fair. He very pleasant and professional and the job went very smoothly! Our new floors are glorious!

Very good. From original estimate to finished product, B & R delivered a very professional product. When the carpet was removed, they found significant areas that required repair. The repairs were excellent and are impossible to distinguish from the original floors unless you know where the problems were before repair. I highly recommend their work.

High quality of work. Very thorough and attention to details. Easy to work with (anwered all questions and quick response). High quality for a fair price.

This is the second time I used Jeff for patching and refinishing hardwood floors. Another company was going to charge me $1300. You won't find anyone that will beat Jeff's prices and do the quality work that his crew does. The floors turned out amazing. You would have never thought they could turn out so well. I was redoing my kitchen - gutted the entire room and the floors were probably the worst thing that needed to be done. My friends and family all commented that they looked brand new.

They arrived on time. They did what they said they would do. The floors look amazing. I was impressed with their attention to quality, they did a good job cleaning up and demonstrated a strong understanding of what's important when refinishing wood.

Jeff is a great craftsman to work with. Knowledgeable, efficient, dependable and flexible. He refinished our floors and repaired some areas that were not too attractive. We left town for a few days and he worked over the weekend so we could return for a COMPLETE job. We admire the work, (as do others), every time we see it. You make a mistake if you don't let him at least look at your project!

Excellent. Jeff takes great pride in his work and it shows. He's a perfectionist and actually took an extra day to inspect and touch up a couple areas on his own time. He also did some extra work such as removing 3/4 rounds throughout the area being resurfaced with no additional charges. The finished work was exceptional, everything he had promised. the crew came out and I explained to them that I wanted certain boards replaced because there was damage to the floor boards from previous owners. The crew members explained that it would add $15 for each board because of the extra labor. I told them I would rather have them do it then fill in the holes. I left for two days and when I came back they just filled the holes instead of replacing them! I was furious because there was no real way to remedy the situation with out it look bad (the owner told me this himself). They knocked a little off the price but It's not what I wanted! The owner kept repeating "I don't want this to affect me getting paid.". Maybe they should worry more about listening to what their customers want then getting paid.

Jeff did a top quality job re-coating our American cherry flooring using a dustless system and applying a satin, oil based finish. He was super responsive and helpful from start to finish. He was right on time for an appointment to assess the job and provide an estimate. He agreed to do the work while we were on vacation and came shortly before we left to get a house key. He also willingly agreed to move a few large pieces of furniture out of the room-- and back in a few days after the work was completed---at no charge. I interviewed several flooring companies. I chose Jeff because of his professionalism, clear understanding of the work I needed done, cooperative nature, and price. The finished product was everything I had hoped for. The floor looks wonderful! I will definitely use him for any future flooring work.

I spent $1100 on the job. The job went very well. I was 100% satisfied with the job. They did a very job. I had an issue with the time. So, they worked over the weekend. They did an excellent job and did a few extra things that were not originally part of the job description. They did not charge me much for those jobs. I was not disappointed with them; I was very happy with their work. They will be the first company I call if I need any work done in the future.
