Great. They we very knowledgable and professional. We live in my grandmother's old house. She had them put in a furnace for her 30 years ago (thats one we just replaced) and we were thrilled to see the company was still family owned and to give them our business again.

The bid on the project was just a bit lower than the bid from another contractor that uses the same brands. However, the other contractor quoted higher base prices, then used their company's discounts to bring down the price. Welter had no such gimmicks. The crew arrived early and got right to work. They respected our home, protecting the floors with tarps and sweeping up when they were done. They were willing to explain what they were doing and were very professional

George Welter looked over our equipment and the set up of our system and told us that we did not, in fact, need the expensive replacement recommended by the competitor. In his opinion, everything is working well at this time. He spent a lot of time explaining how the heating and AC systems work, showed us some ways to use our current equipment more effectively and efficiently, and advised us about what to change when we undergo a planned remodeling project and in the end, told us to update equipment at that time if we really want to do that. George Welter just saved us from getting taken for about $9,000 in service and equipment that we do not need. In all my life I have never met a more honest, thorough, or knowledgable service person. This level of honesty and customer concern is unheard of in this day and age and it is both refreshing and reassuring. They will get all of our business in the future and I will tell everyone I know to call Ray N. Welter heating Company for any heating or AC problem.

Welter worked with us and the sellers of our new home to upgrade the old gravity furnace to a new forced air furnace. It was a tricky situation, with so many people involved in the process. Rick worked with all of us, and did a great job on the install of the new furnace.

It took a number of phone calls and one failed show after they had scheduled afternoon service. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and called them again. While no apology was extended, they did send someone out the next day and the repair was done to my satisfaction.

They were really good. They were reasonable, they came on time and they explained things.

They were thorough and explained everything well. It only took about 45 minutes total to complete the job.

Everything went smoothly on the day of installation. The system was up and running by around 3 pm. AC was not tested because it was November and too cold out. When the city inspector came out, he found that Welter had not done the tests required before he could finish inspection, so he told me to contact them to have the testing done and then send him the results by email. When Welter's guy came out to test, he found the two stage furnace was not set up to run at high fire, and the setting for the AC capacity was wrong. He corrected everything and gave me the test results to send to the city inspector. He also neatened up some exposed wiring on the external AC condenser that was bugging me. After maybe a week I noticed a problem with the PVC exhaust flue. It was not sloped correctly for drainage. I called Welter and they sent out the original installer who fixed the slope. However, after he left, I discovered that there was a leak in the flue and it was letting exhaust gas into my basement. I called Welter again and they sent out a guy who re-did the pipe joint that had come apart due to sloppy workmanship on the original install. Overall, I was pleased with their responsiveness to these problems, but wished they had done a more professional job to begin with.

I had some contact with them. I thought they were good. They're an old company. I would hire them anytime again.

Price was as quoted. They showed up on time and were professional. They told me what shape my furnace was in, approx how much longer it would last, and what I might want to replace in the next year. Very trustworthy!

They did an awesome job replacing our dryer vent. Much of it was behind a wall/in a ceiling and I know it was not easy to get in there properly. I was impressed with the speed and overall quality of the work done and would definitely hire them again. My only complaint is very minor – there were pieces cut out from inside our wall and left for us to clean up. I understand some people want scraps, but these were fairly small and unusable and it would have been great if they had just disposed of them instead of leaving them in a pile for us.

They did a good job. They came and took care of a problem I was having for months so I was pretty thankful that they were willing to come out. They were also quick. It was the next day they came out. They had to do it in 2-3 trips. It was a priority, so ultimately they got rid of my issue I was having in a short period of time. The only issue that hasn't been resolved because I did pay them, but I'm hoping to get some money back because it was a warranty issue.

I called at 8am the next morning and was greeted by a very friendly woman who scheduled me for the afternoon. Greg called 30 minutes prior as agreed upon. I met him there. He was super nice and helpful. He answered all my questions and taught me quite a few things I did not know. He also checked the other furnace in the building while I was there as to prevent the same issue. He diagnosed it quickly and was done within the hour. They will be the first ones I call for any other furnace issues in the future.

Don't waste your time and money with their offer. The offer DOES NOT INCUDE important safety checks such as the condition of the heat exchanger and testing for unsafe levels of carbon monoxide (CO). Why pay $99 for someone to vacuum your furnace when you could spend a little more and get a comprehensive furnace safety inspection from a qualified company. There's more if you have time to read on... I did stop by the Ray N. Welter office to ask about a replacement furnace. At that time I expressed my concern that since my existing furnace was 24 years old I thought it should have a safety inspection. The person I talked to said their cleaning special also included a safety inspection. Ok I thought. But when their employee came out to look at my furnace I was told he didn't have the equipment to test for unsafe levels of carbon monoxide. We both agreed another employee should come out the next day and do a complete safety inspection. Well, the next day no one came out. Ray N. Welters didn't even bother to call me to explain or apologize for missing the second scheduled appointment .

It went fine. They responded quicker than anyone else and got out to the house fast. They had the air running in a short time and it was during a hot stretch. They said it wasn't guaranteed to stop the leak and the Freon could leak out again over time. which it did. Because of the route charge that doesn't get applied to the bill I didn't go with them when I needed to replace the air condition in August.

Jason checked the unit and explained how to keep it running efficiently. I used an Angie's List promotion and the transaction went smoothly.

Excellent! I would highly recommend. Friendly tech was all about doing the right thing for me. He helped me balance cost vs reliability. My AC unit is getting old and he fully discussed all my options and what he would recommend. I have dealt with several different HVAC companies in the past and always got the feeling that I was not getting a fair deal. Highly recommend these guys.

We had something several years done wrong not by them but by someone else and they corrected it and it's amazing how much more efficient our air conditioning is. Too much of the air was going was going down stairs and not upstairs. They had to have some new paths made and it made a lot of difference on our air conditioning. They've been a company that has been around for a long time. I think they actually installed our new furnace and maybe like 50 years ago, the same company, when we built a new home back in the 60's mid 60's, they had done the work on it. It's not a great big company but big enough to take care of us whenever we need something done. We definitely would use them again.

Great experience. The team was very nice, on time and helped correct existing air flow issues that other companies overlooked. Could not have been nicer or easier to work with, and did the work for a good price. I would highly recommend Ray Welter.

A great experience. I called mid-day on Monday and I received a call later that day to set a time for first thing in the morning. The tech showed up bright and early and quickly determined that I was low on freon. He topped it up and checked my other unit (I have separate units for up and downstairs on former duplex). We discussed things I could do to keep my units running well. Very reasonable with Angie's List coupon.
