Description of Work: I used them to replace a furnace in my old house - had competitively bid and they were not only the lowest but also didn't try to upsell or use scare tactics. I subsequently called them when I needed to replace my AC unit in that home and a furnace in my new home. I will never call anyone else!

It went very well. I called on a Thursday, received free on site estimate the following Monday and work was completed Wednesday. All contacts were very courteous, professional and cost-conscious. They performed small extras, such as adding additional pipe strapping as they saw fit, asked good questions.
Description of Work: Raised gas line from gas meter to water heater to above bottom of basement joists and added strapping supports, strapped existing gas line to joists from meter to furnace, added on copper gas line to new gas dryer and hooked up to dryer. Checked all piping for leaks.

I contacted George Welter to provide us with an estimate for replacing our old furnace, A/C unit and air exchanger. I initially heard ads for this company on the radio and then checked Angie's List. George is quite a character. He arrived on time to provide the estimate for replacing the above items. He discussed thoroughly the pros and cons of the 85%, 92% and 95% efficiency heating systems (and also provided estimates for each). The crew arrived promptly on the day of installation. We had many service people coming in and out of the house all day. Drop cloths were placed on all carpets and all debris was cleaned up. The operation of all of the products was explained. George also took care of the paperwork for the rebates.
Description of Work: Removed old furnace, A/C unit and air exchanger and replaced with new Trane and RenewAire products.

This company was very responsive and came the day after I called about my broken central air. They were able to fix the problem quickly and cheaply and did not try to sell me a new unit like many other service providers.

The salesman and contractors were very good. They really did a fine job. They didn't overcharge me and I have used them before and will use them again.

Outstanding! These were some of the most professional people I have ever dealt with in any situation. They provided the best service, they had the best brand (they use Trane products) and they had one of the lower estimates.

The service couldn't have been better. I called this morning and the owner said he'd call around 1:30 and he did. He said when the gentleman was going to be there and he was. He said it should take about an hour and it did. The estimate was $254 and the bill was for $250.

Overall, I was very impressed with the work completed by Welter Heating & A/C. They were prompt & courteous, & cleaned up after themselves. I plan on having them come out to do some more work with the HVAC system.
Description of Work: Due to a remodel, we needed to change some duct runs & added new runs. George Welter came out right away to give us an estimate. He was the only HVAC company to actually come out to give us an estimate. The price seemed reasonable for the amount of work done, so we had them do the work. After the work was completed, I had an issue with how one of the runs was routed. George came out right away to review the work & agreed that the run needed to be changed. However, they never came out to re-work the run & we were on a tight schedule as we were having the space insulated with foam. So, I completed the work myself. George called about a month later to discuss why I hadn't paid yet. I apologized for the delay in paying & explained the reason why. George apologized for not having the tech come out & we reached an agreement regarding the ductwork issue.

THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME FOR THE ESTIMATE. THE DAY THE WORK WAS DONE EVERYONE SHOWED UP WHEN SCHEDULED. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES INCLUDING SWEEPING THE FLOOR. ALL THE WORKERS WERE COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL.

MY FURNACE (A TRANE) WAS BEING FLAKY AND NOT HEATING PROPERLY. I BOUGHT THIS HOUSE A YEAR AGO BUT SAW THAT WELTER HAD INSTALLED THE FURNACE 13 YEARS AGO. WHEN I CALLED WELTER THEY SENT OUT A TECH WITHIN HOURS THAT SAME DAY. THE FURNACE DID NOT ACT UP DURING THE ORIGINAL SERVICE CALL, BUT THE SERVICE MAN CLEANED UP SOME POTENTIAL ISSUES AND EDUCATED ME ON MY FURNACE (VERY GRATEFUL). THE NEXT DAY THE CHRONIC ISSUE GOT WORSE AND ONCE AGAIN WELTER''S SENT OUT A TECH WITHIN HOURS. THIS TIME THEY REPLACED THE ELECTRIC CONTROL UNIT AND EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY.
