Excellent! Our phone call was answered by a real person and we were able to be scheduled within a few days. The serviceman came within the time frame specified, called before arriving, was dressed professionally and came in a company vehicle. He got right to work and when he had difficulty repairing the shower mixer, tried several different things until it was just right. Cleaned up and left everything in proper order. Would most definitely hire this company again.

The plumber was on time for this job and explained what needed to be done. He gave me several options about dealing with the leaky valve because he was able to tighten it so it wouldn't leak; however it was old and would likely need to be replaced sooner rather than later. The whole thing took about 45 minutes. I have also used these plumbers for a new water heater, replacing a toilet, and twice for repairs of leaking situations.

It went well. project was a bit more complex than expected but in end I was satisfied with the work. I agreed with plumber to update some of the work and did not feel he was trying to "sell" me more than was necessary.

They did a great job! Overall, it was an excellent experience. The price was very reasonable. They provided much additional information on how to avoid the problem in the future.

They did the work very quickly, well, and I didn't have any complaints. We have had no problems with any of the work they have done in the last 3 years, so it went good. I thought they did a good job and I would hire them again for plumbing work.

I discovered water leaking from the kitchen faucet Sunday, water was pooled under the sink. I called and left a message Sunday afternoon. I got a call from the scheduler at 7:47 the following morning. The scheduler promised a plumber would show up between 10-2 and he would call before he came. He called at about 11:30, was there 15 minutes later, spent about 10 minutes to fix the problem, then showed me what the problem was and what I can do if it happens again. He was nice, professional and tolerant of my curious cat. I believe the problem was resolved within about 12 hours of my original call, and I didn't even request emergency or priority service. I was very happy with how it went!

They replaced a faucet the same day I called them. I was an urgent matter. They even came back later when I thought there was a problem, but there wasn't. I would highly recommend them. They did what they said they would in a very timely manner.

Typical response from this provider. Always on-time and does it right the first time (there was one instance a couple of years ago when they had to return, but then fixed it without complaining). I ALWAYS use this provider when I need plumbing fixed. You should too.

I called Randy Lane Plumbing and explained that we had a leaky outdoor faucet that needed to be replaced and possibly the inside valve also. I explained that the inside valve was in a tight space above a built-in bookcase. We set a date and time for a plumber to replace the faucet. Al arrived at the scheduled time. It was a difficult job but he was able to remove a shelf in order to get to the pipe he had to replace. I thought the price was fair as it included the faucet and other parts and it involved additional labor to get to the inside water pipe. Al was professional and friendly and I was very satisfied with his work. I would definitely recommend them and will hire them again.

The plumber arrived on time and was able to get the appliance installed in a couple of hours.

I should learn to see estimates in writing before letting anyone do work! Again, a plumber has come in and done work, then once the job was finished was charged more than I thought we agreed upon. Their base charge is 100 pre HALF hour, then $35 for every 15 minutes. I could have sworn he said $100 for the first HOUR. I was charged $200 for and hour and a quarter instead of the $100 I thought we'd agreed upon. His prices were pre-printed very clearly in the bill though, which I should have asked to see beforehand. Live and learn...and warn people to listen very carefully, just in case. As for the work...it seems fine. He cleared the drain, the pop-up is working, and all within three hours of my call. Excellent on that count.

They fixed everything. They showed up on time and did the job, everything is still working well.

Scheduling went quick. They came when they promised. The plumber was clean, quick and explained everything.

I have used Randy Lane Plumbing in the past and have generally been satisfied and do recommend them to others. This time, we had a problem in getting the necessary repair parts that went on for almost two months. Probably not Randy Lane's fault - blame the wholesaler and Delta Faucets. But I had to keep calling to check up on where the p[arts were and when they would be supplied so that the work could be completed. Randy Lane's office did not seem to be on top of that. After the parts were in, the repairs were done very well by "Al", the plumber sent out to do this job. He is quite capable and [professional. My only concern became how shockingly expensive it was to fix a few faucets. I have a lake home up north and a winter home in AZ am in a position to compare what plumbers charge there. Twin Cities plumbers are way more expensive - far more than the work seems to require, especially in the time of recession where so many plumbers are unemployed due to the collapse of the construction market.

Great! We were able to schedule the plumber to come the same day as the irrigation installation so that the plumber could talk directly with the irrigation installer. The plumber was on time, friendly, and good at explaining the work he was about to do. The work was done in less than an hour. He showed me what was done and also checked it with the irrigation folks to make sure it met the requirements and then showed me what had been done. A week or so later, the friendly staff from the office called to schedule the City inspection for the work. Again, the plumber showed up on time, was friendly, and--of course--the work was approved by the inspector.

All went well but still cannot pin point the source of drain odor. I have had them out 3 times for this and still not resolved.

I am very glad that I hired Randy Lane Plumbing. Brian assessed the project and created the estimate and Travis did the plumbing work. Brian was my initial contact from Randy Lane and was on-time, clear, polite and friendly. Travis was the master plumber who did all of the demolition, design, installation, clean up, and follow-up communication. Travis was very professional and easy to communicate with to answer my questions. The work he did was top-notch and I was very happy with the final result. The office staff was also always friendly and helpful. This was a big job; roughing in a basement bathroom, including breaking the concrete floor to install drainage, installing venting, and running waterlines for a shower, toilet and sink, coordinating the inspection, replacing the cement and cleaning up. I obtained another estimate from a different highly-rated Angie?s List plumber, and Randy Lane?s price was significantly lower. So to summarize: they had the best price, they did excellent work, they were professional and always respectful of our family; they did what they said they would when they said they would do it. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone. I would hire them again if their cost was higher than the competition.

On each visit they did a quick fix which worked for a while then failed. When we decided to do a serious fix, their price was far higher than I thought appropriate and we found someone else who did the job for half of the price quoted by Randy Lane & Sons. In the past they've given good service at a reasonable price and always been pleasant on the phone and very prompt. Maybe this job was an exception, but now we've found a different plumber from the list who, for this job, was excellent.

I reported this before but I got a bill from them. It turned out they sent journeyman plumber and apprentice but charged with two master plumber rate. I asked them certificates of competency and they sent one with right person's name and one that I never saw. They are lying in front of client's face and don't know that was wrong. I called up my plumber friend who has been business long time and he mentioned that this company is doing this unethical practice all the time. I don't want to pay $100 hour for some apprentice who does not have any skills nor experience. Randy Lane and sons shall not charge this amount to any clients in this area. They are corrupted and I don't understand why they got this rating in this site. Make me suspicious what they do to improve reputation here since they are cheaters. I filed a claim at BBB and seeking disciplinary action through licensing board. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 2-3 more with apprentice. They got caught at the city of Minneapolis sending only apprentices at the job which is illegal.

It went very well. They understood what I wanted and gave me some options that improved upon my ideas. They were very professional and they worked quickly. I will hire them again.

It went great. We have had them to our house for two projects. We love Randy Lane. They are very efficient, fair, knowledgeable, and helpful. They stand by their work. We would definitely hire them again for any of our plumbing needs.

Great job, very punctual and reasonably priced. I felt like he wasn't there to take advantage of a bad situation. He just did his job quickly and was very professional and pleasant with us.

I've used Randy Lane a couple times in the past for minor leaks or clogs and was always happy with their work. I was a little disappointed by this latest experience and it was only for an estimate. I was more than a little annoyed that Brian showed up 45 minutes before his scheduled appointment time - especially since I still had another provider at the house providing an estimate. He spent less than 10 minutes looking at the plumbing, didn't take any measurements and spent more time writing up the estimate than he did looking at the existing plumbing. His estimate was more than a $1,000 over the other three estimates I received - perhaps if he'd spent more time asking me questions or reviewing the existing plumbing he would have been able to provide an estimate closer to the other three we got.
