I walked around the house with him and he was very thorough giving me the how-to fix what needed to be fixed.

Mr. Standish is a true expert and professional. He knows what works and provides excellent, effective service.

Rick Standish is the best. He often comes within 24 hours of getting the call. He is super-professional; he explains what he is doing; he is knowledgeable about environmental questions (and seems to pick the most environmentally-sensitive solutions). Of the problems he has dealt with for me, I have not had a recurrence of the problem. He warranties his work and always says: "If this doesn't disappear completely, call me back." I haven't had to. Definitely recommend him highly.

He was great. I called early afternoon on a Friday and he came the same day (after dinner, so he worked late on Friday). He was professional, experienced and knowledgeable. He took care of both colonies in about 30 minutes and there has been no recurrence at the two sites. His services were about 10% less than other estimates from others on this list. A+ anyway you slice it.

He showed us several potential spots that we need to seal. Very knowledgeable and helpful. We can and will fix the holes oursellf and learned some useful information on how to identify potential entries for mice In the future.

Awkward. I have mice outside and was looking to get rid of them. He told me they have to live someplace. I called again and asked if he did anything to catch them and he told me to go to Home Depot.

I was having some mice in my kitchen cupboards. Richard came out very promptly, the same day I called! He was very informative, and set traps for me, since I'd never done it. The next day, he blocked all possible entry places in the foundation, including under my deck. He was friendly and informative, and seemed very thorough and meticulous. He guarantees his work for 2 years. He inherited this business from his father, and spent childhood summers working with his father and learning about pest control. He does all the work himself; it seems he's found employees to be not sufficiently detail-oriented. Finding service providers like this is why I appreciate Angie's List.

Richard is thorough; we talked on the phone prior to him coming out when setting the appointment about what the problem was. He needs to see the home to make the best determination on what to do, as I had mentioned sealing up some of the cracks. He did just that and used dust and liquid spray to kill the ants. Took the time to explain about the situation and did a thorough job. He was here for 2.5 -3 hours, mainly outside, but inside house, too, on all levels. With 2 more treatments planned this summer, he guarantees the job for 18 months after the final 3rd treatment. I shared my experience I'd had with other more corporate extermination companies and I appreciated his down-to-earth work ethic and absolutely no sales pitch.

This was a while back but we are still extremely satisfied with the service. We had an awful rodent issue. He came and in a few hours he covered all the outside entrances for the rodents. We never had one rodent ever again. Highly recommend them!

The work was completed in about four hours. No mice have been detected since the improvements, but we will be watchful. The work is under warranty for three years The results: So far, so good. The provider, Richard Standish, has been in the pest-control business for many years -- and we are confidant that hiring him was a good choice.

Rick is an honest, hardworking, tell it like it is business owner. Rick quoted us one amount over the phone, but when he arrived and inspected the job he realized it was not nearly as complicated as he thought it would be and adjusted his price accordingly and fairly. I wish we had found Rick and Professional Pest Control the first time around. We will most definitely use him and only him when we move to our new house.

We had been trapping mice in our house for more than a month, so we wanted to have an expert look things over. The inspector arrived on time and did the inspection. he sealed a number of places in our garage and the point where the air conditioner had pipes going into the house. We trapped a couple more mice after that but have not had any mice after that.

Let me preface this with how I feel about mice, etc. I believe every being has a purpose on this earth and deserves life. That being said, I also believe mice deserve life - juuuust not inside my house :) We had mice in the basement. We used motion detection cameras to monitor. We could see exactly where they entered the basement and could easily live trap them and release them back outside. But that wasn't the answer. We needed to find the entry point OUTSIDE and prevent them from entering. I called another company, who suggested I remove the bird feeder and put poison in every corner. Again, that's a stupid idea in that it doesn't prevent them from coming in, which is the real problem. I called Richard and he explained "exclusion" to me. It's exactly what I wanted. Long story short - Richard came out, found all the entry points, and plugged them. He even plugged a hole in the garage that I don't think was an issue, but, as Richard said, could be a future issue. And... NO MORE MICE! We haven't had one mouse in the house. I fill my bird feeders every day. Everything is in harmony. I hopefully won't ever have to hire Richard again, but if need be, I would in a heartbeat! He would be my first recommendation to anyone. Thanks Richard!

It turned out well and Rich took care of the mice, and squrrels. I was very happy with the quality. Rich was great and knew what he was doing, "professional" is a good description for his work. He got the job done in a few hours. The scheduling was easy. I would not hesitate to recommend or call him back. I will not call anyone else except RIch if I do have any more pest problems again.
