He called me back within a hour or so of when I called and was available the next day to come out to the house. He sprayed to get rid of our ants, was helpful and informative.

Richard is terrific. We initially called him because we had bats in the attic that were making their way into our basement. He came out within a few days of our initial phone conversation and began the process of bat proofing our house. While he was here we asked him if he could help us with our mouse problem as well. We didn't expect that he would be able to take care of it right away, but he came back the next day! He is very professional and he guarantees his work. We highly recommend him.

It is the 19th and so far I haven't found evidence of mice in the places where I found the original droppings. He said that the complete effect should be evident in a few weeks and if I find mice it will be because they have been shut into the house. If I find mice in the next two years, I can call Mr. Standish. I definitely recommend him to those of us who are squeamish about hunting mice on our own.

Wonderful. Really wonderful. Rick promptly returned our call to inquire about the mouse exclusion services and answered our questions clearly and completely. He then scheduled an appointment for the same day (that made me SO happy, I was very tired of mice!) and showed up right on time. When performing the mouse exclusion service, Rick took us around the house and showed us the entry points mice had been using, then went around & sealed up everything--even crawling under the deck & the porch to make sure he got everything. His work was done neatly and everything looked great when he was done. Plus this was done about 3 weeks ago and we haven't seen any sign of mice since. We also don't have poison in our house anymore, which is a good thing. Yeah! He also offers a 2-year guarantee, which I like. Found a mouse in the basement and immediately signed on to Angies List and saw Richard Standish, Professional Pest Control, Inc., had very good reviews. I called Rich on Monday, he answered the telephone, and made an appointment for Wednesday the same week. He arrived on time, assessed the situation outside the house and explained everything in detail to me. He had all the materials he needed to complete the job that day and was done in approximately 90 min. I feel confident the problem is solved. Rich was knowledgeable, polite and very thorough. I recommend his company.

Richard did a great job! He responded promptly and gave a thorough explanation of what he was going to do and how that would keep the bats from returning. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We thought we would have to paint the screening he put over the louvers, but he matched the screening with the trim on the house so no touch-ups were necessary. We have not seen a bat since Richard completed his work two months ago and trust that the problem has been solved. But, if not, we have Richard's guarantee of no bats in the attic or house for five years.

Our call to request help with ants in our garage was answered quickly, and Rich was able to come out the next day. He diagnosed and explained the problem, answering all our questions thoroughly and patiently. He was professional and pleasant. Would definitely recommend this company for pest control services.

A simple job, some delta dust was used, but Mr. Standish is very punctual, neat and explains the job well.

I called Rick Wed morning around 7 am. He returned my call within the hour and we scheduled a time later in the morning when he could dust the hornets' nest by our front door. He called to let me know he had a job running longer than expected, and gave a me a time later that day to expect him. He was here when he said he'd be here, explained what he was going to do, and how long it would be until the next "quieted down" (ie the hornets were dead and gone). The one dusting took care of the nest just like Rick said it would and we are able to use the front door (and collect our mail) without fear of being stung!

Very responsive, was done in no time and service was effective as advertised. No sign of ants since service was performed.

After spraying carefully in a few locations the ants were coming out of the wall on the outside of the house. Richard gave us an 18 month warranty that they won't come back.

Richard looked for possible entries made by the carpenter ants and took care of the problem at each area. Days later more dead ants are appearing, so I know the extermination worked.

The owner promptly returned my initial call, arrived promptly when he said he would, told me his plan and quoted the price (including 10% Angie's List discount, which he volunteered -- I did not know about it and did not ask for it but certainly appreciate it). He did exactly what he said he would and kept me informed. I thought I would have to hire someone else to fix the trim once he sealed the hole, but he even made it look good. Also, he was comfortable with our really big dog, which I appreciate. The price seemed competitive with other services and I am very happy with the quality of service.

We found that we had a bat in the living room area of our basement at around 8pm. He said he would be over in about half-hour and was true to his word. He got right to work and caught the bat within 10 minutes of arriving. He then inspected the outside of our house and told us where he thought the bat or bats might be coming in from. He gave us an time frame for when it should be done and also explained why they may be in our house. Very good experience.

This was the second winter of finding evidence of mice in our house. So, I called Rick over the weekend when I decided that I was at my wit's end. He returned my call promptly, though we played phone tag until Monday morning. When we talked on Monday morning, he asked me some basic details about my house, and said he'd stop by in the afternoon to take a look at the foundation to be able to give me a more detailed description and a cost estimate for the work. He said on the phone that he thought it would be $700 plus or minus $100. He arrived on Monday afternoon, took a look around the exterior of the house and examined some of the interior areas where I said we'd been finding evidence of mice. He described what his plan of action would be and the estimated cost of $600. He also said that he'd guarantee his work for 2 yrs -- that if we saw evidence of mice any time in the next 2 yrs, he'd come back out and address the problem. That extra guarantee was what sold me on his services. So, I said I'd like him to proceed with the work, and he said he'd come back the next morning to do the exterior foundation work. In the meantime, though, he set up some snap-traps in our house and said he'd check on them in the morning. He arrived a little later than his projected 8:00 arrival time, but he called to say he needed to pick up some more supplies and would be late. He arrived about 9:00, checked on the traps, and proceeded with the foundation work outside. (By the way, it was 0 degrees out!) He finished all the work in about 1-1.5 hrs. I haven't examined the foundation work outside because it's so cold and because I don't know if I'd know what to look for anyways. But I trust that he did a good job, given his apparent level of expertise and professionalism. Though the price was on the high side of what I expected ($540 with the Angie's List 10% discount), I feel satisfied with the experience.

I was impressed immediately with Richard's knowledge and experience. And, he was very professional in his manner. He explained to me that many people make the mistake of trying to patch from the inside of the home which does not solve the problem. He futher explained the reason I was catching mice in an unfinished area in my basement is because it was an unfinished area. He said the mice come from the outside and will find crawl along the inside walls, ceiling etc.. and come out through an unfinished area which is open. I have neighbors that are having the same problem. We live in a townhome community. After looking around inside, he went outside and found holes in the siding and showed me how they get in. He uses cominations of cement and copper meshing to patch and close holes from the outside. He found several possible entry points. He called later after I left him to do his work and told me about a major opening in the back of my home where he felt 99.9% sure they were coming in. He could see where the chewed the siding. He told me that he felt very certain my problem was solved and told me to call him if I was still trapping mice at Christmas. He also said I may still catch 1-2 in the next day or so but after that, there should not be any more issues. I did catch 1 more the following day and I am very happy to report I have not caught any since. He also guaranteed his work for 6 months. I would not hestitate to call him back if neccesary. But, I have a very good feeling I will not have to. I wish I would have called him sooner! But, I was trying to save some money and handle it myself. I called the day before and scheduled the removal; they arrived on time and were quick and efficient in treating the nest with insecticide. The hornets buzzed around for a day or so afterwards, as they had warned me to expect, but now seem to have gone for good

He was on time, reasonably priced and explained exactly what chemicals he would use and how and why the ants were coming in. He also happened to catch a natural gas leak from our stove that we must have triggered while moving the stove to try to clean up any food that attracted the mice. We were so happy with our service, we called the company back weeks later to treat the carpenter ants at our new house. Again, we got great service and haven't seen a pest since!
