Porcelite Bathtub Refinishing

It went really well. Took about 4 hrs- the quoted time. I'm extremely pleased with the bathtub. It's super shiny; better than new!

The service was fantastic! We had an old bathtub that had been previously refinished. The tub was stained and the old finish was chipping off. The provider was running ahead of schedule and called to ask if he could come earlier than our appointment. We were happy to have him come early. He was very courteous. He took his shoes off when entering the house on each of his many trips in and out carrying equipment. He sealed himself up and vented out the window so that we barely smelled anything during the refinishing process. He even warned me before the loud noise started so I could prepare my young children. He did a good job of cleaning up after he was done. There was a layer of fine dust on the walls and some surfaces after he left (the light fixtures and the top of a high cabinet), but I never would have expected him to clean all that. The odor from the finish lasted longer than we were told to expect, but that could be because I have asthma and am super sensitive to odors. A few days later when the finish had set, I called with a few questions and concerns, all of which were answered to my satisfaction. The bathtub is beautiful now and we were extremely happy with the service!

Tim did a great job, he was prompt, pleasant and neat. My shower looks better than it did when it was new, highly recommend these guys.

Porcelite did an excellent job, and the bathtub looks like new! They also did a great job of cleaning up after they were done working. We have had the tub refinished twice before by another contractor, but will definitely use Porcelite again in the future.

Everything went great and according to expectations. Service was started on time and finished just under the estimated completion time. My 70's butter-yellow tub is now white and I couldn't be happier.

Can’t say enough good things about this company. First time I had used Angie’s List and all the reviews were correct. I called and talked to Mark (the head guy) on first call attempt…was so refreshing to not get tossed around or go to voicemail. He gave me a flat rate and was soooo nice. He scheduled a time with me and the guy showed up and was very friendly and did a great job. A little fruit fly flew into the tub right after he finished. He told me right away and said he’d come back to buff it out after it had cured and it would take like 5 minutes. It was nice that he was so upfront and honest. I mean, who can control that? I would highly recommend these guys to anyone! -Allie

The bathtub resurfacing job went okay. Individual performing the resurface was timely and professional. It went just as described to us. The cost was exactly as stated. The caulking job had a window for improvement. However, would use this company again.

wJoe was very neat, very thorough, and on time. He and Mark both communicated to me to confirm and keep me informed of the time he would arrive. The details of care, the process, and what NOT to do was carefully explained. He needed to vent out a window to avoid the odor going through the house...which it did beautifully. I was down the hall and smelled NOTHING! He needed to use a ladder to get to the screen outside to release it, but he put everything back in order, before he left.

Everything went great. Left my rental unit open for them to enter and service. Went off without a hitch and they left great detailed instructions on how to care for the tub afterwards. Tub looked brand new and amazing. If it holds up as well as it looks, I will be very pleased!

He was great. Very professional and trustworthy. He made my 6 year old tub look like new! I even let him in to do the work and took a nap. Great work!

Tub looks beautiful, they took off the overflow, we were supposed to put it back on after it dried. We couldn't get it back on but they came right out and did it for us.

Communication was spot-on. Professional and courteous. Service provider was on time and professional - wore shoe protectors. Went right to work - managed project appropriately. Explained the curing time, explained warranty and the amount of time it took was as predicted. There was an odd curing on the caulk and I sent a picture of the area. Was promptly contacted, offered a time that worked for me. Service provider returned and took care of it - it was simply an odd drying/curing anomaly and now its perfect! Highly recommend this company and their employees. I'm a happy customer.

The whole process from the beginning to the end was seamless and the finish on the bathtub looks great. I would recommend Porcelite to other people. It went very well - we have had two bad experiences with other companies and our tub was a mess. Porcelite arrived at the designated time and explained exactly what they were going to do - this was accomplished in the timeframe indicated - the bath tub was refinished - looks great and we are very satisfied. The technician was professional and there was no mess left behind.

The work was performed on two separate occasions by two different technicians. Both technicians were very professional and did an excellent job. We had them refinish a bathtub and shower tile walls, a bathroom countertop and the master shower tile walls and floor pan. We are THRILLED with the results. The bathtub and tile walls were done in a bisque color which turned out beautifully. The tile walls are very shiny and we can't help but admire the results each time we see them. The countertop was done in a multi-stone which is beautiful but does have a few minor imperfections. While it was drying I believe some dust landed on the counter and there are a couple of small "waves" in the finish near the edge of the counter. Andy came out and sanded it down so it is less noticeable. I think these are mostly noticeable to us and would not be noticeable to most people. They sprayed the sink as well and we love the look of a solid counter/sink. We think the end result is like a piece of art since it is not a pre-manufactured piece. When you consider the alternative which would require removal and reinstallation we love the ease and appearance of the refinished products. Everyone at Porcelite was professional and responsive. Karin, Mark, and Joe were excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to our friends. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Our bathtub was in bad shape and the bottom had peeled off. Porcelite was very responsive. They answered the phone right away, gave me a price quote and explanation of the service and was scheduled! Guys showed up on time, were thorough and kept everything nice and clean while they worked. The only small issue was that everyone was unaware that the tub had been stripped previously and therefore they had to also refinish the bottom row of the fiberglass shower wall and had to paint it a color that didn't match the rest of the wall. It's a very small difference in color and if you weren't looking for it, you wouldnt realize there was a difference. Our bathtub looks brand new! I would hire them again, there customer service is wonderful.

Found them to be prompt, neat, and clear about what they were doing. I appreciated their recommendation for a non slip surface for the bottom of the tub.

The technician was very responsible in ensuring he did not track dirt or mud or snow in the house. He explained everything he was going to do and the timeframe to get it all done (about 5 hours). He then proceeded to prepare the area by taping and covering the surrounding area. He cleaned the tub of stains, old paint, and caulking. He then patched the cracks and chips and sanded the entire tub smooth. He then applied a primer coat and then another. He then let it all dry and sprayed the finish coat of epoxy paint. He applied the new silicon caulking around the tub's base, sides and on the walls. He cleaned up, and took the trash with him. Other than a new tub, I never would have known he was even in my house. Great job and highly recommended! Ask for the Angie's List discount!

Couldn't have done better this time! I had my tub done about 24 years ago by someone else who did an OK job and it certainly lasted. This time the job was done so much better it is amazing! The tub looks like brand new and is worth showing off! I love the work done. The care during the process minimized the dust created, the fumes were unpleasant but managed very well, and the completion of the work was artfully done. I would HIGHLY recommend this company and Andy as an excellent service technician. He was professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled, and did a great job. During the inquiry and selction process, the answers were prompt and informative. Great service provider and one that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

So refreshing to receive such excellent service, from start to finish. Porcelite was recommended to us by two different people and we were not disappointed. We were able to schedule an appointment pretty quickly for our tub resurfacing. Andy came exactly when he said he would, explained the whole process, finished exactly when he said he would and was even willing to deal with our neurotic dog. He told us about the non-slip coating which we decided to add at the last minute. When we got home, we wouldn't have even know a contractor was there except for the smell (which we expected). Our tub went from dirty, etched and dingy to looking like brand new. We would recommend the company to anyone.
