Porcelite Bathtub Refinishing

Everything went really well. Our bathtub and tiles look great; they look brand new! The only issue was the smell. We had it done in the winter, and it might have been better if we have waited until it was warmer outside, so we could open some windows. But it only lasted a couple days. All in all, I'm very happy.

They arrived on time, finished on time, work was perfect, and Andy was great.

I contacted Dan and asked to see a sample "refinished" tub. He met me at the company site, showed me a "before and after," and talked me through the whole process. He was very professional. We agreed on a date to have the work done. Andy came to do the work. He was extremely prompt, clean, careful, and respectful. His work and clean up was excellent.

I was interested in refinishing my tub and tile, and Dan came out to give an estimate. He was courteous and timely. He noticed that there was moisture and mildew behind some of the tiles on one wall, and recommended that I have the sheetrock and tile replaced instead of reglazing. I really appreciated his honesty and courtesy of canceling the job on short notice (was already scheduled for a day later) with no cancel charge. I then had this work done and called Dan again a few months later for the tub refinishing. His associate came promptly and did a beautiful job with the tub. I have already recommended Porcelite to a friend who needs her tub refinished. I was very impressed with them! Further, Dan told me about Angie's List and I signed up as a result. He really cares about customer satisfaction.

Dan and Andy were both very prompt for estimate and doing work at house. I was very happy with the results, and they gave me information on how to clean the tub to maintain the results.

They were very professional. They arrived on time, were polite, and knowledgeable. He had a lot of gear to get the fumes out of the bathroom. There was not much of a residual smell the day of, and it was gone after a day.

We have well water that turned our white ceramic tile in the shower a dingy orange color that could no longer be removed with normal cleaning solutions plus had a reoccurring leak into our kitchen below that we have been fighting for years. Dan quoted me a firm price over the phone and a time. My wife couldn't wait for the work to be done because we just put in a new iron filtration system. Dan called back due to a cancellation, and we were moved up to just a few days after we placed our order. Andy came on time and was very pleasant. My wife who normally wants to leave when service men come found Andy very comfortable to be with. Andy did an incredible job, and the shower looks brand new. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the work done and would recommend them highly.

The smell of the stuff went away pretty quickly, and Andy cleaned up very thoroughly. It was all done within the time frame he promised. (Though the caulking was a little sloppy, but no big deal.) It definitely looks like I have a new tub. it's an odd size and couldn't be replaced, so this was my only option, and it worked out well. I like that the built-in sand coating on the bottom eliminates the need for a bath mat, but it does make it harder to keep clean, especially with all the restrictions on methods and products that can be used on the surface. I'm still pretty afraid I'll inadvertently harm it. It's strong but apparently easy to damage.

The work was done very well and I am very pleased. Andy was on time, on task, and professional. Care was taken to ensure minimal disruption and mess. Andy impressed upon us the importance of waiting the correct amount of time for the surface to cure and how to care for it. I got the impression he was pleased and proud of his work;I like that. I will use them again in the future.

Porcelite was professional and informative right from the start. Andy, the technician who did the work, was very punctual and got his job done early. He provided substantial information about how to keep the tub looking good. He was friendly and professional. This project was way easier than I expected. Wish I had done it years ago!

It was such a pleasurable experience. They were able to take us out to their business to show us some examples and then got scheduled with them when we wanted it. They were very prompt and confirmed the appointment the day before. The job itself exceeded our expectations.

They came out the day after I called. They didn't fill scratches in the tub before refinishing, so I asked them to come back and redo it. They agreed right away and came out within a week and redid the tub beautifully and with apologies rather than complaints.

Porcelite (both Dan and Andy) were outstanding. The job went well especially considering the timing that I needed. (They were in and out in 3.5 days, starting on a specific date.) The job looks great. I highly recommend them. Professional, efficient, accommodating and very likable. I would not hesitate to use them and their service again!

Andy was on time and did the job in the time specified. He explained how to clean the tub after the new finish was applied. He also gave us warranty information. Also, Andy covered all bathroom surfaces to minimize dust settling. The tub turned out beautifully and we are very pleased!

Job was completed on time and looked good with no price jump. Resurface looks better than I had expected. Job site was clean when completed, and the job process was as stated in the website. I was pleased that the company ''stated what they did and did what they said.''

I was impressed with his care in handling all stages of the process to ensure no damage to the surrounding area. When he left, there was no sign that he had ever been here except for the new tub color. A very professional job from start to finish. I am completely satisfied.

He explained the process that he would use and also gave me some additional information. The tub looks fantastic and Andy was very professional and personable. Since multiple people were in my house working on various remodel projects at the same time, Andy also displayed a lot of patience. I left for work while he was still finishing up the tub. He called me later to let me know that he taped off the bathroom to keep the dust from the other projects off the tub since it needed to dry for a few days and he also let me know I should call him if I noticed any imperfections since he would come back and fix it. I highly recommend this company and I would definitely work with them again.

I've never seen a bathtub as badly damaged as this one. The surface was totally destroyed and had large scratches. It would have been a nightmare for my husband to replace because it's an unusual size and was original to the 55 year old duplex. I don't know where we would have found one the same size or how long the work would have taken. I called Dan and spoke with him on the phone. He didn't even need to come out for an estimate. He did a beautiful job and saved my husband days and days of aggravation and stress!

They deserve the excellent rating they have. The young man who handled the resurfacing was polite, cheerful, competent - just the kind of person you'd want working on your home. When there was a very minor problem, they cheerfully and expertly took care of it. We are now having them do the other bathtub in our home. I'd whole-heartedly recommend Porcelite to anyone without reservation.
